The worst way to start an office party is by messaging your boss telling him you hate him so much, you kind of want to kiss him. Diego is the new guy at the office working hard to impress, but Nick is a boss that doesn't make it easy for Diego to feel like he is succeeding. After causing a gigantic mess at the office during the New Year's party, Diego needs to win a scavenger hunt to show he is part of the team. If only he could impress Nick and make his grumpy, hot boss see his potential... He is sure that Nick hates him. But he has four hours until midnight to change that.
*Enemies to lovers, age gap, office romance. This M/M steamy novella brings you all the magic you need for the end of the year.*
I don’t really understand what’s going on here. It’s NYE, and everyone is working, except simultaneously having an office party/scavenger hunt? Do some work, solve a clue, rush back to work, rush off to clue hunt.
Diego’s co-workers are Lily, Luke and Lucy, because apparently the author ran out of alphabet.
If you are singling one worker out and making them feel like shit, calling them ‘newbie’ instead of their actual name, I don’t think it’s up to you to decide you’re not a bully.
2.5🌟 stars The plot of this short novella is an okay MM office romance between a young Latino man and his supervisor played out through an afternoon of office partying that includes an elevator tryst. But the phrasing is frequently either awkward or just incomprehensible. It needs a good edit.
Reseña ⛄ Libro: Love Me at Midnight Puntuación ★★★✩✩/𝟻
A first read with this book for this author. A good start with Diego working at his dream I.T job but not actually what he was doing answering emails. Diego 22 yrs thought his boss Nick 35 yrs disliked him while he was silently lusting over him. A scavenger hunt for a department vacation was the prize with a personal touch for Diego. Poor Diego he so much wants the acceptance of his workers and his boss he's doing anything he can to please. Diego comes of as completely innocent with men. I didn't like the sex scene in this as its rushed, I couldn't feel the chemistry with these guys. Written with Diego pov. eilplouge ending included.
Super hot and cute short story! Diego is working on the IT department of his family company (and hiding who he is to prove himself), while his boss, Nick, keeps pushing and picking on him. When they are thrown together on the company scavenger hunt, everything gets hot and heavy. Quick and great holiday read!
