Famous paranormal investigator Landry Drake and his team are at work preparing a series called Mysterious America for his new cable channel The Paranormal Network.

A cryptic call to the network’s hotline takes the crew to Savannah, Georgia, one of America’s most haunted cities. A girl who inherited her aunt’s old house finds a mysterious amulet bearing a jeweled snake that leads Landry to the Order of the Red Serpent. A spirit beckons her, but are its intentions good…or maliciously evil?

Landry learns about bizarre rituals and initiations held late at night, and as a mystery unfolds within one of Savannah’s oldest mansions, the living must call upon the dead for answers.

Secrets hidden in the city’s oldest graveyard lead Landry on a quest to learn why the mysterious Order exists, what it has protected for hundreds of years and what lengths the members will go to if their brotherhood is challenged.

Ugh, what a disappointment. The book started out well enough but the proverbial wheels soon fell off the wagon. I found the characters shallow and mostly predictable. The "heroine", Marcie, was unable to keep her mouth shut and made one bad decision after another. Honestly, girl, think things through! Landry was a typical TV personality so nothing new or exciting there. The bad guys were predictible as were their final dispositions. And the way the story was written, oh boy. There was so much telling that I don't know why the author bothered with any dialog at alll. I also caught several instances where things simply did not make sense. As to that one, well, I might be able to give the author the benefit of the doubt as I was losing interest. So why did I bother to finish the book? I paid good money for it and I loathe leaving things unfinished. Yeah, I really need to get over that. Thumbs down as I add this author to my "never again" list.

A great creepy story!

I have read the entire Bayou Haunting series and really enjoyed it. This book picks up Landry’s story afterwards. Marcie inherited her Aunt’s house and with it a ghost. A creepy mystery ensues involving a secret society and links to a 500 year old treasure. I’m looking forward to what comes next from this author!

This book really had bite!! (No pun intended)

What a phenomenal book #1 to this new series! A truly incredible story line that had me mesmerized from beginning to end. The characters were fascinating. Of course I totally enjoy the series with Landry Drake (Bayou Hauntings) and this one came out full throttle!!!! FANTASTIC, PHENOMENAL!!!!

Mesmerizing

I’m not new to the authors work so I’ll warn you now-make sure your schedule is clear when you start reading because you won’t put it down. The plot is full of twists and you’ll be guessing all the way to the end. I can’t wait for the next one.

Bill's Done it Again!

I've followed Bill's writings, and never been disappointed in any of the books.

I've read all of the Bayou Hauntings series, and I highly recommend them.

Another great book

Bill Thompson has a style of writing that never disappoints. While the outcome of this story is different than his others it adds something to the story that makes it a great read!
