The Devil’s Barbarians, a notorious one-percenter MC, have arrived in town. Debauchery, brawls, and cocky charm, oh yeah, it’s all going down.
LEAH Carter Harris is danger with a capital D. I have to avoid him. Resist temptation. Riding into the sunset on the back of his Harley is not an option. Or is it? Wild passion. Heady longing. Bad-boy looks. Hell yeah, I could be persuaded.
CARTER Leah White might be the biggest challenge of my life. She’s tiny but feisty. She’s independent yet those lost eyes tell me she’s crying out for a man. And that man is gonna be me. There’s no question about that. Now all I gotta do is seduce the heck out of her, even if that means resorting to dirty tactics.
You'll love my Alpha male heroes and the women who (try to) tame them, so dive into my vast selection of steamy romances and be prepared to stay up late into the night being seduced by kinky dukes, hot hockey players, masterful Vikings and badass bikers. (To name a few!)

This is exactly the way I like my bikers and Carter was this title like no other. When he sees the uptight attorney sitting in the courtroom, he can’t take his eyes off from her…and that was only the beginning. He went out of his way to get Leah to actually see him as the man he was.
Leah was dealing with her own issues but when Carter showed her how much anger was pent up in her, he had her release it in more ways than one, things took on a serious note in their relationship.
I loved the steamy aspect of this story and that this couple was able to get their HEA.
Badass Biker is a sexy, sexy biker story with a biker who has a heart of gold and a straight-laced attorney who's ready to take a ride on the wild side. Lily Harlem is one of my favorite authors and I knew that if she wrote a biker story I would enjoy it. I like her take on the motorcycle club (MC) lifestyle even though MC books are not for me. I guess I just do not like the trope and it's hard for me to find an MC story I love. Ms Harlem's story has all the elements of the MC story but she makes it her own and the focus is much more on Carter falling for Leah and how their romance unfolds as opposed to a lot of the club life though there's some of that. I love a line in the book where Carter describes himself as just a guy who likes a girl. It totally gave me Notting Hill vibes but with a biker edge. “Good.” He kind of smiled. “That was all I wanted, for you to take the time to review your judgment of me.” “What do you want me to see?” she asked softly, almost afraid to break the spell that had wrapped around them. “A guy who likes a girl.” He touched her cheek with the crook of his index finger and ran it to her chin. “That’s all, nothing more.” I liked Carter. He's a little cocky and sure of himself, but he's a genuinely good guy even though his activities and his club's activities skirts the line of illegal and legal. That's what being in an MC is all about though, isn't it? But he's sweet with Leah, respectful of her feelings, and protective of her. I like his honesty with her, even with that first time where he does something to get his way and yet he comes clean almost immediately. Then he works to get back into Leah's good graces. “...I say it how it is where you’re concerned, Leah. I might not tell you something because it keeps you safe, but other than that, expect the truth.” Leah is great. She's smart, focused, and about as straight-laced and by the books as they come. But she's feeling strangled and stifled by rules and her family's expectations and she longs to break free. Carter gives her that. It takes her a while to let down her guard and to let Carter in, but she does eventually learn to trust him and fall for him. There's some drama, there's some action, there's club business, and things don't all go smoothly. But at the end of it, Carter and Leah are meant for each other and that's the point of all this.
Good girl. Bad boy. A formula for success...most of the time. Carter is a part of an MC that comes to Leah's town of Pierce every year for some sort of gathering of a bunch of different MCs. The concept isn't very well explained. I can't figure out/remember if they were all from the same club but different chapters, or different clubs. Like I said, I was very confused. It's not explained what they are there other than to cause trouble and problems for the town. And that is how Carter and Leah meets. Carter is on trial for defending his brother's in a fight. Leah is an attorney who specializes in criminal cases and she pushes her apprentice, Willow to take over the case. Carter falls for Leah instantly (or rather, his penis does) and is determined to make her "his."
My problem with "Badass Biker" is the way it misses all the key aspects that make motorcycle romances one of my favorite genres.
1. The found family aspect. Just because you have a tattoo dedicated to your club doesn't show me that you care about them. He spends a lot of time away from his compound and we never get to see him interact with his brothers. They probably do later in the story, but I was so bored I couldn't wait any longer. Also his mother? The way she suggests that he find someone to fall for him so they can use her? And I'm supposed to like her? I let it go the first time but when she brought it up a second time, I could just see the drama coming.
2. The danger/adventure. A big part of MC romances is the way the hero is protective over the heroine due to an outside force. What outside force did he have to protect her from? They take a casual trip to Mexico to smuggle fake passports that had no risk to it. Not to mention in the first chapter, Carter is the one that suggests to Leah to close the Mexican borders to her town.
The smut was good but the characters and storyline was bland and did not keep me engaged.
Leah White has been a full lawyer for three years and she was attending the courtroom of her protege, Willow, as she was the lawyer for the defendant, Carter Harris, who is a biker. He is a senior member of the Devil’s Barbarians, a Cali MC, and his dad had been chapter prez before he died. Leah’s father, Tim, is the mayor of the town. The judge believes that all bikers should go to jail for some reason. Wyatt is one of the other brothers from Carter’s MC and a good friend and ‘brother’. Brooklyn Harris is Carter’s mom and she is all about the MC now that her husband is gone. She believes that the DV MC should have a lawyer to take care of all of their law problems/ court problems. But, that is not why Carter chases Leah. He finds her a riot and extremely hot, and vice versa, although Leah takes a while to admit it. Carter is definitely an alpha male and a bit of a tyrant, but in a good way, and Leah’s father and stepmom are pieces of work. I got really angry with the ‘rents. I like how Carter goes about trying to dispel the myths of bikers. There are some hilarious parts, some scary ones and some where I just got giggly. Carter is defo naughty. There is a lot of heat in the book, steamy… lol. I enjoyed the book and I hope there are more in the series.

3.5 ⭐️ for Carter and all his badass biker glory. All in all, this was a pretty sweet story and very light on the MC element. I wish Carter's character had been more fully developed and that we knew more of his history but what we did get showed him to be sweet, caring, sexy, loyal and a badass in and out of the bedroom. I did not like Leah and I never really warmed up to her. She was SO judgemental, snobby, stuck up and just came across as a bitchy spoiled character. She took one look at Carter and decided that he was a bad guy, a biker, a criminal, beneath her and not worth even taking the time to get to know him. Carter treated her with nothing but kindness and respect through this whole process and he had to pursue her HARD to get a chance with her. He stood up for her when her father and step mother were treating her in a controlling way and he kept her safe from a kidnapping attempt from a rival MC club and even after all that, she still broke up with him over a misunderstanding. Yes they got their HEA but I was left feeling that Carter deserved more, he had a truly beautiful heart.

Oh my badness! I love this book. This is a fast-burn, contemporary, good girl and bad boy romance. There is a ton of steamy, sexy hotness and a big scoop of trouble swirled in for extra flavor. There’s also a goodly amount of angst with the female main character’s uncertainty with her relationships, as well as the climax(es).
I like how the opposites attract thing works for the main characters, Leah and Carter. Leah is a buttoned-up, straight-laced, Harvard educated lawyer and the mayor’s daughter. Carter doesn’t wear many buttons, and his laces are loose and crooked. Having said that, he is a good person under the leather, motor oil, and shady business. I adored watching him seduce Leah!
This couple took me on a wild and scenic ride. There are some gorgeous descriptions of the California coast, as well as a few sentences here and there that painted pictures of the ocean. I liked the Happy For Now ending, too. The characters deserve to be happy, but I would have felt weird if they ended up getting married and having babies after such a short period of time.
A wonderful bad boy/good girl romance. Great plot, plenty of spice.
Carter Harris is the ultimate badass biker who falls for attorney Leah White. They're from two completely different worlds and on paper they shouldn't work. However, Carter is persistent and Leah wants some changes to her life. And so the story unwinds.
Obviously, there's trouble and violence and times when the relationship looks doomed but that's the art of a great writer and a fantastic plot.
Loved the characters, plot and spice though the story was slightly predictable, but it's definitely what you need for a great bit of escapism.

What can be better than a Biker that has a soft side, nothing. Carter Harris is part of the Devil’s Barbarians and has grown up in the lifestyle of a biker but when he gets caught up and finds himself in court he never expects Leah White to turn his head. Leah White an attorney who lives on the straight and narrow, her father is the town’s mayor and she never thought a biker would turn her head. Carter & Leah lead such different lives but you can’t hide the chemistry between the two of them. Watching them come together is fun to watch and knowing that they only care about each other is Amazing.
Lily Harper's writing is new to me and I was hesitant to read an unfamiliar author's take on an MC. I am so glad I did. Badass Biker isn't so much about the MC lifestyle, but the romance between two opposites being perfect together. Carter gives no excuses for the way he dresses, acts or lives. He is attracted to Leah and she doesn't judge him. When they are together, she is so full of life. But when she is cornered into the paper doll life her family expects of her, she is just going through the motions. I loved how Carter never tried to be more than he was and that was pretty exceptional when it came to Leah.
Leah White meets Carter Harris when a junior is defending him. He takes an immediate shine to her but Leah tries to freeze him out like any other man. Leah's father is mayor and she never steps out of line.
The more Carter comes around the more her attraction to him increases. She is about to go away for a week when circumstances have her traveling there on the back of Carter's bike.
Carter may be a bad boy but he has an inner soft spot for Leah. It take a lot of work on his part for her to trust him and set her free from the cage she put herself in.

Carter and Leah. She is an attorney setting in on her friend Willows, also a attorney, trial where she is the attorney for the defendant and her father Tim is mayor. He is a high ranking member of the Devils Barbarian MC where as his dad was a past prez. Carters mom thinks the club need an attorney on retainer to help with all their issues and Leah is that choice. Carter not only wants her as their attorney but for himself and she wants him too. But her parents are something else. And the judge in their town thinks all bikers should be in jail. What a ride. Loved it.

A first time author for me and I didn’t know what to expect but I actually really enjoyed this book!!
Really light on the MC theme, the main crux of this was the love story between Carter and Leah. That’s not to say there wasn’t some MC shenanigans but this was actually mainly contained to the latter part of the book.
Heat rating : super hot, this author does not go gently into her steamy scenes so be warned.
An overall fun read with an MC world and characters I’m excited to read more of
I enjoyed Carter and Leah's story. As soon as he sees her in court, he knows she is his and does everything he can to make her see that. He also wants her to see him beyond his MC that he is more than that. Leah struggles with her problems that consume her with tension and anger. Can he help her and does she want to give Carter that chance and see if they can get a health care together? Definitely worth reading if you like MC stories.

Badass Biker if the first book in the Dirty Bikers series. It is an easy read that I read rather quickly. The storyline is not fluid and some of the characters don't seem to fit in the Southern California scene. They are more like deep southerners. The relationship that develops between Carter and Leah somewhat makes up for those issues. Overall, the book is mostly entertaining read.

A good girl falling for the bad biker, or was it his plan the whole time. Intriguing story of when attorney Leah has an attraction to the bad biker Carter. Liked how this couple learns to navigate their differences, but stay true to themselves and not try to hide who or what they really are. Making sure the important points matter and the rest is just going thru the motions of life.

Opposites Attract - And The Attraction is Beyond Hot!
Leah is a criminal attorney and the mayor’s daughter. Carter is a member of a one-percenter motorcycle gang. These two shouldn’t work as a couple - can they take their attraction to the next level? This book was so darn hot - Carter is super take charge, which turns Leah’s crank (which I loved!) but Leah is no push over either. A great read, entertaining and engaging.
I really enjoyed this book. Carter and Leah were both characters that were easy to like. Leah is a lawyer who doesn't know she needs a little excitement in her life. Carter is the badass biker who is really a softy. When they encounter each other, Carter makes it his mission to make Leah is. And it's such a fun and hot ride. You know with Lily you are always going to get some heat. Great job.
That was a nice, quick, biker romance. It was your usual recipe of prim and proper girl meets big bad biker and they fall in love. But it was still a fun book. The writing wasn't anything special, but it also didn't annoy me like some other people's writing has. I'm giving this book three stars.
Badass Biker by Lily Harlem is the First book in the Dirty Bikers Series. This is the story of Carter Harris and Leah White. Leah is a straitlaced lawyer whose father is the town's mayor. Carter has grown up in the Devil’s Barbarians MC. These two should be attracted to one another but they can't help but do so. Enjoyed this book.
Love can be found in the most unexpected places and with two people who are opposites, don’t have much in common but an intense attraction and sizzle that cannot be denied.
This is one hot, emotional steamy read with a wonderful HEA. Well worth a read!.

When Biker Carter finds himself in trouble he never expects to be drawn to his attorney! Leah is the mayor daughter always on the straight and narrow of the law, but meeting Carter he's determined to make her his! Well written steamy opposites attract desires and more.

This is a new author for me and will be enjoying more of her books. This book is the first book of the Dirty Biker series. This is a fast-paced good girl/bad boy romance with lots of drama, trauma and action. What a great read.

Leah and Carter’’s story was a good MC story. But it was mainly about them getting to know and fall for each other. She’s an attorney and he’s prez of a MC. And he falls for her and wants to show her the real him.

This is the first in a new series, and this is Leah and Carter’s story. This is a well written fast paced, action packed story, with intrigue, drama, challenges, emotions, tension, opposites attract, undeniable chemistry, romance, and love, which leads to an entertaining, and steamy addictive page turner. Badass Biker is a fairly light MC romance that sizzles with heat and passion as bad boy biker Carter sets his sights on the irresistible lawyer Leah. I loved these two and was immediately drawn in by this enjoyable, well written storyline that’s both exciting and steamy. I highly recommend it!
It was ok. Their feelings for each progressed pretty quick to say the book happened over the course of a week and the MC drama was resolved but also not… it just seemed like a lot of holes/things could go wrong with how this book ended, but the steamy scenes were good.
