This book definitely covers all of the material one needs to know for the CompTIA A+ 220-1101 and 220-1102 exams. However, having just passed both tests (separately), I believe the book could have been more efficiently arranged to coincide with the objectives of each of the respective test segments. Other online training and printed material I’ve seen separately addresses each test. This book, however, is a monster to consume from beginning to end, especially considering that things that appear on the core 1 test do not generally appear on the core 2 test and vice versa. Having now taken and passed the CompTIA A+ exam, I would agree with those who recommend you take the core 1 test, pass it, then focus on taking and passing the core 2 test. Yes, it’s possible to do both in one sitting and to those who can, I salute you. However, I think there’s an easier way to do it. Unfortunately, this book does not seem to lend itself to that easier way.

The author is a wonderful writer and teacher. He made the subject matter easier to understand. I will keep this manual as a reference in my itinerary work.

Second read: I noticed errors the first half, bur I was shocked at how many errors I found in the 1102 section - particularly in the quizzes with wrong answers marked as correct.

Still, this book helped me pass my 1102 exam this pass week! Definitely recommend, with the exception of 1102 section quizzes.

A very long, detailed, and heavy book that helped me pass the CompTIA Core 1 A+ exam today!

It's really two books in one - so I'll be reading it again for the second exam. I feel it will need to be split in two separate physical books as it's only going to get bigger. I got the ebook version so I could read it at cafes and on public transport (hard cover is too heavy to cart around, about 2.5 kilograms).

My one major complaint is that pictures in the hard cover book are in black and white. Whereas the online copy I read while out and about had full colour pictures. This feels like the people getting the physical copy are being somewhat cheated. I didn't realise I was struggling to read the screenshots and see the images until I started with the ebook. Anyone who has vision problems (which I don't but still struggles) should go straight for the ebook.
