Rate this book
A cute giftbook packed with glorious color microphotography of real snow crystals by Dr. Snow—Caltech physicist Kenneth Libbrecht. His photos of snowflakes have appeared in National Geographic, the New York Times, and on Martha Stewart’s TV show, as well as numerous other places. This thick “cube” book is packed with a blizzard’s worth of amazing images as well as literary quotes on the beauty of snow.

This is a visually engaging book and one that children would enjoy paging through. It's definitely not a read-aloud. It's a coffee table book, and, like many coffee table books designed for adults, it makes a good browsing book for children. We're always talking about snowflakes, but this really shows the breadth snd variety of them. My only criticism is that it has too many pages. Children and adults alike can only be interested in so many snowflake photos.

This mainly consists of hundreds of photographs of all different kinds of snowflakes. There are poetry excerpts and quotes all related to nature/human aspiration and some which are more winter themed. The photographs are incredible.
