48 pgs. This book gives a very detailed background on how a 3D printer works. It explains lots of technical terms in a way that an elementary or middle school student would understand. The illustrations throughout provide visual assistance to readers in order to understand some complicated concepts. The book includes a table of contents, index, and additional resources like "Straight to the Source" - a discussion topic, "Fast Facts" - a nice summary of main points, "Stop and Think" - personalizes the information and makes you ponder some points. It also includes a glossary, online resources, and learn more books list. This book could be used for reports by upper elementary and middle school students. Highly recommended for Grades 5-8
