In this effervescent companion to the picture book Stella Keeps the Sun Up, Stella goes on the hunt to figure out who’s behind her friend’s missing tooth.
Stella, her bestie Roger, and her second-best friend Owen are excited to go see Sue the T-rex at the museum, but when Owen has to leave early because he lost a tooth, Stella becomes determined to find it for him. How did he manage to lose a tooth? Was it stolen? Could the tooth fairy be responsible? Could Owen be…a dinosaur boy?
Nothing will keep Stella from her investigation, even if she and Roger fear their own teeth could be stolen too. But the more Stella investigates, the more she realizes that perhaps this case is not as complicated as she thought.
When Stella and Roger go to the museum to meet Owen he is running from the building shouting he has lost his tooth. Stella doesn't understand how that could happen and she searches everywhere for it. Back at the museum she is amazed that the dinosaur skeleton Sue still has all hers but the curator explains that even dinosaurs loose teeth. She wonders if Owen is a dinosaur and when she sees him she is amazed to find a new one growing in its place. A fun story to introduce young children to the topic of loosing their teeth.
Our family absolutely loves the second book in the Stella series! The story is cute, and perfect for kiddos in this age group who are (or soon will be!) losing teeth. And, the illustrations are just great (make sure your kids keep an eye out for the hidden tooth fairy in the story!) Love, love, love!
Stella and her overactive imagination are back and this time out she's determined to find out what happened to her 2nd best friend Owen's tooth. She starts her investigation at the museum, and tries to track the tooth fairy after being giving a good lead. What Stella discovers is good news for both Owen, and herself.
Stella goes to the museum to visit Sue, the T-Rex and runs into her friend Owen. Owen can't stay and hang out because he lost his tooth! Stella misunderstands and goes on a quest to find his missing tooth. A cute story that would make a fun read aloud for kids who are old enough to start losing their teeth.
I love Stella's desire to help her friend and her imagination in determining what happened to the missing tooth. It is a funny fast moving pace picture book that would inspire the creativity of young minds.
