A lot of things happened to me in the past 3 years that worship leading had been difficult. I was so discouraged and it hindered me to pursue this calling. This book helped me in so many ways. The first chapters especially ministered to me - I realized that my feelings and thoughts on singing are normal and valid but God wants me to heal on those areas that brought scar and pain. There are also practical tips on worship leading that are very helpful not just for beginner worship leaders but also seasoned ones. I love the prompts at the end of each chapter as well.

Some of us feel called to sing, but what does that really mean? This book is THE book to read for all singers and worshipers, filled with practical tools and saturated with biblical references and models. This book not only covers all the bases of worship and understanding, but also allows the reader to engage with the Lord and the teachings in this book with prompts she has created with each chapter. You will not finish this book the same as when you started.

A slower read for me due to the prompts at the end of the chapters. I really enjoyed that about this book. I loved the format. Starting with a testimony, then the contents of the chapter, ending with a prayer and a prompt. It kept me engaged the whole time reading it. I was encouraged and challenged all throughout the book. I have been stirred to practice my craft and have fun with God! I definitely Italy recommend this book to anyone, not just the “musically inclined”.

Essential information for worshippers

This is not just instructions on what prophetic singing is, but also for musicians to play prophetically. There are testimonies and prompts at the end of each chapter and I recommend this book to any singer(anyone not tone deaf) and all musicians that want to flow in the river of God.
