Dela Francis is not convinced that the kindly, white-haired Stan A, owner of the DIY store is really Santa, even if he is shutting shop over the holiday season. 'Stan A' could just as easily be reassembled to make Satan after all.
When she discovers Stan up to devilish antics, Dela feels her suspicions might be correct.
Stan's son Nick has an unrequited crush on the fae woman who refuses to date anyone from the village. He wants Dela to see he's the one. What he needs is a Christmas miracle.
But that seems unlikely when an escapee from the Home of the Wayward Souls threatens to spoil the festivities and the potential romance.
Can Santa save the day so that Nick and Dela can have themselves a merry little Christmas?
Welcome to Gnarly Fell, where Death lingers just outside the village (with his girlfriend).

Consigliato.
Callie’s fae sister is getting her own place and maybe some romance. Nick aka Stan Jr has admired Dela from afar for a long time. His feelings are so obvious everyone is talking about it but Dela has a rule, he doesn’t date guys from her hometown. Can she find her man or will she be destined to live in her new home alone?
Excellent third instalment to the sucking dead series.
A heavenly five-star read. This is number three in the Sucking dead series and they all follow, but they do focus on different characters, so you could read them as stand-alone, but honestly they do read best in order as you get to know everyone and find their little foibles. Dela is such a complex character, she hasn’t always felt like she has come first, and was jealous of her sister always coming first, but she lives with her rules and feels like they are helping her, or are they? If she opened her dating pool to be more local, would that have meant it would have come quicker? Or was it fate playing its tricks and making sure things went to plan. Stan or Nick as he prefers, is just so warm and you can just see him wrecking the buildings to make it all better, following his dads’ footsteps making life better for everyone else. He made me chuckle so much with his wicked sense of humour. This is a great story and one you would be sorry to miss. I love this author and am so excite to see what will happen next.
Oh how I have missed Gnarley Fell... You just never quite know what to expect when you delve back into their world! I just love it! In this book we have Dela and Nick. Both with chemistry off the charts but alas Dela has her rules and is stubborn to boot which makes for a very interesting read. Poor old Nick is full of optimism, romance and a sleigh full of Christmas magic. And yep you guessed correctly Nick is the son of Santa himself, so he is really hoping for a Christmas Miracle of his very own this year. But in true Gnarley Fell style there is never just one obstacle to tackle... oh no no no. We have a Wayward Soul causing all sorts of havoc, surprise family reunions with some shocking history, and a whole lot of demolition and construction going on in the background! I absolutely loved this fun festive, feel good book. And we also get to see some of the beloved characters from the previous two books... So basically this book was a win win in my eyes!
Gnarly Fell allows me to escape into an incredible cast of characters with so many wonderful twists and turns that always keeps me guessing. Dela has been trying to find her purpose and now that her sister has found the love of her life, it has Dela even more focused on who their parents are and where she is headed. The one thing she knows is she doesn’t want to date anyone from Gnarly Fell. Nick is a genuine guy and is enamored with Dela but doesn’t know how to convince her to date him. Being the son of Santa Clause presents it’s own challenges for anyone that dates him. Add into the mix a wayward soul that keeps inhabiting residents and you realize you never know what to expect next. Really an incredibly fun and entertaining romance. So excited for more from the crew of Gnarly Fell.
Well we are back in Gnarly Fell with all our favourite supernaturals for a Christmas adventure. Andie's brain is a truly amazing place, I mean come on who else would come up with a hero who is the son of Santa?! We have Nick and Del, who is a fae, and their chemistry is off the charts. There were times when you wanted to smack Del for being so stubborn but she had her reasons for this. It helps to have read the previous books as there are quite a few appearances from other characters and it helped to know their back stories. I truly loved this as a Christmassy feel good paranormal rom com and I urge everyone to get this read over the Christmas season.
Back to Gnarly Fell where vampires, fairies, witches and even Santa reside. While Callie and her husband are enjoying their honeymoon Dela and friends have a surprise planned on their return. Dela and Nick have a bit of sexual tension but because of her rules she tries to ignore the feelings. Dela and Nick have a ton in common including a desire to know about their families. This series is fun, creative and a bit naughty. You could read this series out of order but there are a few characters that make return visits. I received an early copy and have left this review voluntarily.
Sucking Hell is book three in the Sucking Dead series and is Dela and Nick's story. If you have read any of this author's books before then you know how they are not only entertaining but are well written too. From the quirky characters to the crazy fun banter Dela and Nick's story will have you laughing out loud and cheering them on to get their happily ever after. I recommend not only this book, but this series and this author to everyone looking for something entertaining to read. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
I'm really enjoying this series. I'm loving how the books are now taking on a story and we're getting to know Gnarly Fell residents. I loved the first two books which centred on Mya but this one that centres on Dela and Nick was great with their back stories being explored. I really like Andie M Long's writing style, it's cozy and brings the story together, her development of characters gives the storyline a realism mentality and it's... Well it's basically a cosy paranormal series that I can't wait to continue
Another fabulous installment to this fun and funny series. Nick and Dela are great at being friends but Nick wants more. Since he’s the son of Santa, he might get a Christmas miracle. There’s so much going on and seeing the other characters from the prior books popping in and out just keeps the laughs coming. I’m happy to see there’s another book coming out next spring. I can’t wait!
As we take yet another trip to Gnarley Fell we find ourselves transported into Dela and NIcks lives. All the way through I was rooting for Nick to break down Dela’s defences and fair play to Nick as he does everything he can to break them down but Dela is very stubborn and wont back down. I’m not going to say anymore as it will spoil it but this one was really fun to read and I love reading all the characters new and old.
It's Christmas in Gnarly Woods and everyone is excited. Fallon's sister is married and on her honeymoon, the twins are trying to like things apart and Nick is trying to date Callie. There is also a soul that escaped and keeps entering people's bodies and jumping out again. It's a crazy time of year. Excellent story with amazing characters. Loved it. Can't wait for the next book to come out.
Dela and Nick are the starts of book three and the fun and games continue with this hilarious paranormal rom com. Great easter eggs by previous characters and an awesome story for these two within the series continuum. Absolutely love the snark! This author is just amazing at it.
Third book in this series and the laughs keep on coming. I enjoyed this book so much that I am now recommending the series to all my bibliophile friends. The story had me entranced from the first page as a new couple face off with each other and their particular ghosts from the past. Cannot wait for the next book. ❤️❤️❤️❤️
A continuation of the series, I enjoy getting to know the characters at Gnarly more. While Dela is not my favorite - especially how she sticks by her rule, and is easily dissuaded later - I do enjoy getting to know Santa, Fen and Stan, and seeing HEAs come alive. However, the story I'd love to see is that of Dela's mother... much more interesting story there.
Loved the latest installment of this series. It was great to get Della's story and having the christmas twist was a lovely seasonal treat. Can't wait to read book 4 and see what happens next.
I enjoy these because they're pretty fast, very light hearted, and kinda adorable. There was a sprinkle of typos but other than that it was a great book. Definitely finishing the series.
Of course, I really didn’t pay attention to the title, I just wanted to read Dela’s story. Loved Dela and Nick’s courtship. And Mya’s idea for a wedding present, just wow! The rest of the revelations were fun too.
