Maia x Orsun
Oh Yea, this one was good. Easy read with lots of chemistry between the H&h. Maia's heart was fragile, so she tried protecting it the best way she could: running. But the pull between her and Orsun was too strong, so it clearly didn't work. And Orson wasn't having it either. Orsun was extremely patient while Maia was hot and cold, understandably so. But their journey was hella cute 😍

Beautiful
Orsun knew at first sight that Maia would be someone special to him and he worked hard to prove to her just that. It was a beautiful story to see how Orsun showed how he felt with his words but also made it a point to make sure his actions matched as well and that he enforced that he heard Maia in her expression of what she needed and wanted from her next relationship. There’s something about an instalove story when the author came make you feel the couple’s connection and chemistry beyond the words on the page. Highly recommend this book and the rest in the series. Also recommend any books by this author if you want a feel good love story without a bunch of crazy drama.

Simply Irresistible
This was definitely irresistible! I loved Orsun. He knew he wanted Maia and he went for it. All in. This is a feel good story about love after heartbreak, patience, understanding, starting over, letting go of fear, and trusting again!

Just that old-fashioned love....
Ms. Shanice this is the first time, I have ever graced one of your books. You surely did not disappoint. I enjoyed this read, it was just enough 🤏🏾 melodrama to keep my attention. Maia deserved Orsun after all the unnecessary stress Dru put her through. Dru did Orsun a huge favor by ruining the relationship he and Maia had. Orsun was literally the man Maia needed. Someone that is going to truly put actions behind his words. He made sure to show Maia love from the first date.
This is a soulful love story that just gives you all the feels. You will fall in love with QG and all she does for her grandkids especially Orsun. She knew how to keep each and everyone in line. I know this is the last book in this series, but I don't want it to end. I would love to read Stephanie and Martin's story. It would also be great to read about Sane and him finding real love. My hat goes off to all three authors (Asia Monique, D. Rose, and ShanicexLola) because it was a marvelous idea to create the small town of Hidden Lake. The small town you all created is one that everyone would want to experience once in their lifetime if nothing but for a vacation. If you have not guessed by now, I strongly suggest this book and series. It really does fit right at this time of year.

Ooh! This story was sooooo good! Talk about some hotAF chemistry and that grown and sexy love! Mr. Orsun did not hesitate to pull out all the stops for his sweetness, Maia Clark! I loved how their instant connection popped off my Kindle, I could have sworn I was right in the room with them because I felt that thang! Such intensity! This book was sexy, with a side of sweetness and romance sprinkled everywhere! I also laughed out loud a lot during the course of reading this book! Especially the bat scene and "big trash bag body b***" I think it was?! I almost fell off my bed!🤣 And Maia and Stephanie together were a hoot! But what blew me away the most was Orsun--that man made it absolutely impossible for Maia not to fall in love with him! The way he gave back to the community and gave others a hand up. He was so confident, sexy, and romantic...honest and open with Maia...he was everything she needed him to be and did whatever possible to make her life easier. That's some grown man ish right there! And I loved how he was so smooth, suave and just downright sexy in his dismissal of old boy when he knocked on Maia's door! Bye, bye Dru!😂🤣😜 I love a good story that can make me swoon, laugh, get a little weepy and fall in love. This was definitely that and then some! Loved it!💙💙💙💙

One thing I love about a man is someone who knows and fights for what he wants! Maia and Orsun conclude the Hidden Lake Series and the end of the trilogy was so good. They meet at Maia’s bakery after Orsun grandmother asked him to pick up an order for her church, but she had ulterior motives instead. They had a mini spat which turned out to be the best thing in their lives. This author always captures love in such a unique way and grasps my attention from the first page.
Hidden Lake Series was such a dope concept and each other delivered gracefully and I highly recommend this series‼️

The connection with these two right from the beginning was🔥! I loved how Orsun was a bit intense, but very intentional with his feelings toward Maia. They bonded over their shared loss, but that chemistry they had could not be denied! Maia, a bit jaded from her previous relationship, was fearful that Orsun was too good to be true. But, Orsun was right there to show and prove that he was the man she was falling for! I hope there is another book in the series about Marty and Stephanie, cause what do they got going on? Great read! 👍👍👍

Man I loved this book. Strong, successful African American male meets strong, successful African American female who has suffered some loss and hard knocks, but kept it moving. They were beautiful together and they were surrounded by some amazingly funny and supportive family and friends. Great job!

This book was so good. I love your books. Maia was hurt by her ex and what he did. Orsun saw Maia and was attracted to her. They had great chemistry. Love how he told her that he will always be truthful with her. Hoping to get a story on Stephanie and Martin.

Yesssssss ma'am!!!! I was captivated by the first few pages and it kept going until the last. Orsun knew who he wanted after one encounter and I'm so glad he found his other half in Maia. This was such a soulful story. And the playlist! The playlist made me love Orsun that much more. The chemistry was everything. Shanice knows how to write about love and I LOVE it!
