I wasn’t familiar with all these movies. But there were some good ones I highlighted:

I’ve found it is the small things, [the] everyday deeds of ordinary folk that keep the darkness at bay. Simple acts of kindness and love.

—Mike Wazowski (Billy Crystal), Monsters Inc. (2001)

The merry-go-round- that just goes around. Nothing. I like the roller coaster. You get more out of it.
—Grandma (Helen Shaw), Parenthood (1989)

Forget your head, and listen to your heart.
William Parish (Anthony Hopkins), Meet Joe Black (1998)

“You know it’s crazy, we finish eachother’s sandwiches!”

My friend kindly gifted me this book for Christmas and it’s a fun little read that’s brimming with great and, to the credit of the author, unobvious quotes from various films. Definitely worth a flick through for any fellow cinema fans!

It’s a fun little book but a bit awkward on kindle. Some quotes were in a normal front, others really big.

Quotes say a lot

This book is not a trivia book about just a book of movie quotes for various occasions. I enjoyed this book because it shows how a piece of celluloid can leap from 5th e screen to delivery an important message to the viewers. Unfortunately not everybody will get the message in the quotes and that is the pity for all. But if you are looking for inspiration then check out this book and think about what is here.
