Her previous work includes a poetry collection, and she has been shortlisted for several Australian poetry prizes. She studied literature and writing at university, completing a PhD in English (Creative Writing). She lives in Melbourne, Australia.

I don't think we are ever going to get this book, especially as the author now writes under another name and doesn't seem to mention The Councillor. It's really sad, but I don't know what's gone on in her life so don't want to judge. I still mourn the book I will likely never read.

It has a release date, but I don't think it is real because I can't find any other info about it. But I'm pretending it is because I want it now.
