Hey God

Rate this book
Mama Foglio, her cantankerous husband, and ten rambunctious kids were poor. In fact, they were so poor that the poor people called them poor. Then one day the Lord burst into their lives, in the form of another, equally poor, equally large and tumultuous Italian–American family who stormed into their home and evangelized them mano a mano. Thus begins what has got to be the most hilarious, warm–hearted and frequently deeply–moving testimony ever given to the glory of the Lord.

This is one of those hard-to-find but great reads! If Christian bios were personalities, this is the extroverted not-so-conservative one that talks too much. I was given this when I was in my early 20s but only actually read it in my 30s, and glad that I did because it might have been a bit much to take in when I was younger. Inspiring and sometimes funny, this simple poor Italian family have a way of approaching God very practically. Their mother's conversion was rather unusual.

From his mother's transformation from a shy lady to a confident woman of God, her straight-forward belief, to miracles of God showing he is who he is, and stories of how he challenged Frank Foglio in his own journey when he became too obsessed with selfish ambition and how God pulled him back. This book went around to many friends after I read it.

It was interesting when his path crossed with Demos Shakarian (Happiest People On Earth), who's book I read just before this one! If you liked that book, you will probably like this one too.

Incrível, um dos melhores livros para acrescentar na fé cristã, são experiências simples, porém cheias de fé e clara convicção do que o Espírito Santo pode fazer na vida de quem tem comunhão com Ele.

My mom read the book with us kids when we were young. It was ingrained into my bio, I loved hearing mom read from this book. I want to read it for myself as an adult. God is real and this family had the experiences to agree. Want to get this book soon. Enjoy every page.

This book was VERY inspiring to me. How much faith this woman has in God and watching how much He used her for His work. How FAR faith can bring you and what a strong relationship with God can do in your life and others around you. I loved every second of this book and I highly recommend this to anyone and everyone.

Is a good read but some of it is fake i am sure as God would never slap someone in the face. We all have a free will.

I thought this a bit over done. I enjoyed his excitement about God. I liked it ok. I suppose it felt a bit random.
