Diamond Williams was a young girl with a bright future. Until one day, all that changed when she found herself serving fifty years for a crime she didn’t commit. Being locked down, dealing with the drama from guards and other inmates tried to break Diamond. The only way that she kept her sanity was to escape her cell the best way she knew how— through her pen and pad. Like Diamond, Asari Games had been dealt a jacked-up hand in life. Her parents being murdered caused her to have to take on the responsibility of her 5 younger sisters, and help her aunty, who’d taken them in. She was a survivor, though, and worked the pole, while finishing up her last year of high school, like the boss that she was. She wasn’t worried about anything but her paper and her grades— until Judge came along. Jersey “Judge” Brown was a boss in these streets. He, his brothers Case and June, and his right hand, Dolla, had Indianapolis on lock. He was all about his family and his business, until one night, he walked into the strip club, and locked eyes with the woman that would change his life. After chillin’ with her, he knew that Asari was the final piece to his empire. Diamond’s pen game goes hard, just like the lives of the characters she writes. But, when tragedy strikes on both sides of the page, will this author and her characters be able to stay on top. Or will they all be cheated out of their happy ending?
Honestly, you could have separated both books. They were great enough to have their own series. The book she was writing took away from her story which ruin the chance of getting to know her and... Her family more. Maybe consider rewriting them as separate books because they both have so.. Much potential.
This is my first read by this author... Her writing style is interesting... This book was an little different for me... It is a book within a book... This book is about a girl named Diamond that is writing a book about Judge and Asari... I kind of like it... however, I did get a little confused or should I say mixed up the book characters with the characters in the book that was being written... But I kind of liked it... I think because it is different... Diamond is in Jail for a murder that she did not commit... But while in there she makes time go by with writing... She starts writing a book about a girl named Asari and a guy named Judge... and her cell mate likes to read it... All while creating a whole world in her book... Her real world is hitting her hard... It is like she can't catch a break... But the moment it looks like she can't take no more... Her life begins to change... And now she is out for revenge on those that did her wrong... Little did she know the connections that she would have to help her accomplish that... As for the book that she is writing, the character Asari has been dealing with a lot... She is only 18 but she has a lot of responsibilities with helping raise her 5 siblings since the passing of their parents... She is still in high school and working at a strip club to help her aunt... But one night while working... little did she know that a man that she felt a connection to would change her life... But While changing her life for the better...She has another life changing event and this took her down a dark road that I am not sure she can dig herself out of... Judge is the man in the streets... He is only 20 but he is running things... But it looks like he has some secret enemies coming at him left and right... But him and his brothers start handling business to take care of it all... One night he decides to check out the strip club and it was like he was instantly drawn to Asari... Little did he know how much she would change his life and the life of his family... Just when things were going real good... Asari is hit with tragedy and it was like all of a sudden he started losing control of everything... Because now he is dealing with a different Asari and someone is trying to take him out... He is so overwhelmed and does not feel that he can continue to be the backbone that Asari needs... But just that quickly... Everything changes... Will Diamond finally get the revenge that she wants on those that did this to her... Will she reconnect with her cell mate... If so what will become of their friendship... Will Diamond continue to write her story.... Or will Asari and Judges story be over... Well onto part 2 to find out...
Okay the author did her thing with this one we got 2 for the price of one both juicy. Judge and his peeps.is something else. I can't wait until part two drop I have so many questions. I didn't think I was going to be as intrigued as I was. Shari been through alot at such a young age but she didn't let it stop.her it just made her stronger and now her lil sisters experienced almost exactly what she did. You have to read the book to see what I'm talking about. Hopefully diamond will find out why her fam did that to her.. Boy was they some scandalous people. Its going down in PT 2.........
I started reading this book and could not put it down! It’s two stories in on book… I can’t wait for part 2! This was definitely a awesome read. I would recommend have nothing else planned because you will not be able to do it this book down!! Part 2 ASAP.
I purchased this book and three others only to support Tina B., an Indy author; I really was not expecting anything a decent read. Tina B. you did us proud 👏. You have a very unique writing style that I have seen many attempt to master, but failed miserably. Keep writing Naptown's own and I will keep buying and reading.
This book was sooo good I can't wait for the next one. I love how it feels like you are getting two stories for one. I hope Asari gets her revenge for he sisters, parents, and aunt. I see so much potential in Diamonds story thank you for a great first book.
I like Judge for Asari. I like how we are getting two stories in one. Diamond has been through it. I hate that Asari pretty much lost everyone she loves her parents, sisters, and aunt she deserves to get revenge.
I’ve never read a book that had 2 stories in 1 but this book here did it for me! I was hooked from the beginning to end. I am loving where Diamond’s character is headed but I’m sad for Asari. I can’t wait for part 2.
Loved this book even more than the first! I was so impressed with her writings I totally forgot it was just a book within a book! I enjoyed reading & following along with their story & I love the somewhat happy ending!
Sasha come through! Make all of them pay. Oh Kelly what have you done lol. Back stabbed your day one for a dude. Baby she is about to get her lick back with her man by her side! Oh Little Love ain't for no games. It's about to get ugly real quick.
