I have a weakness for sexy alpha men, and mafia romances are one of my favorites. Redemption is the first book in The Buchanans: A Steamy Mafia Romance, which is author Lexy Ray’s debut novel. Redemption tells the story of David Buchanan, the leader of the Irish mafia in Boston, Massachusetts.

David owns the club Redemption, and it’s where he first notices Alexandra Jacobs. He feels a very strong bond and a need to protect what he now considers his Angel. How will Alex react when she first meets David? Will she be as taken with David as he is with her?

Redemption was an exciting page-turner, and I was quickly engrossed in the storyline. It was filled with mystery, suspense, and some blazing hot scenes!

Redemption is a definite add to your TBR list!

Oh man what a great mafia romance! I was hooked from the start and oh the steaminess. You had me blushing with some of the spicy scenes with David and Alexandra. I was captivated with this book. The mystery, suspense, and their chemistry keep you hooked. This was a great debut novel and I can’t wait to see what she writes next!

I'm really not big on mafia romances (sorry, don't hate me!) but I really enjoyed this one! Though it was instant love and most of the growth beyween the two characters was behind the scenes, it just worked! The story will suck you in all the way until the end and make you want to read the rest of the series. The spice is good, but if you aren't a fan of daddy you might struggle to stay immersed in a few of the scenes offered in this book. I'm not at all a fan of it but I still enjoyed them anyways so I have no regrets with reading this one. I'm excited to see what Lexy Ray comes up with next and I hope you take the time to give this book a try.

You guys know how I love my dark steamy mafia romances (and if you don't know you do) So when I was asked to provide an honest review for this book, it was the perfect fit..

It truly was. This book delivers on the mystery, the suspense, the intrigue of a mafia-inspired story paired up with the steamiest fan yourself scenes... I love that.

The characters are great, their chemistry, banter and sarcastic humour just worked for me..

It was a fast read that I just dived into and didn't stop until I was done, which is just what I have needed lately..

If you are looking for a fun and sexy read, look no further and pick this up.

This was my first book by Lexy Ray, and I know I HAVE to complete the series. I am a huge mafia romance girl, and this book checked off all the must-haves for me! The only thing that threw me in this book was the feeling of insta-love, I wish I had seen more character growth/relationship growth in the MCs. I loved the MMC alpha I know what I want and I take it vibe! It's a huge YES for me!

Formatting wise the book can use a small face lift but overall I loved this book, and excited to continue seeing Lexy write.

I flew through this book, I just couldn't put it down. It was dark, steamy, witty, and addicting. I fell in love with the characters from the start, and I promise you will too. Be prepared to meet your next book boyfriend! Oh...and keep a cool drink nearby if you aren't reading this alone... If you enjoy dark, mafia romances, you are going to fall in love with this one!

A real page turner!

If you love mafia romance thrillers you will love this book! It's super suspenseful and super spicy what more is there to love.

Lexy's writing is one of my all time favorites. She's extremely descriptive but doesn't give you that "word replacement" feeling if you know what I mean.

Book 1 of the Buchanan

This is David and Alex’s story. It’s told in dual POVs with an epilogue looking into the future.

I enjoyed this story with an instalove romance. He fell fast and hard. There’s enough sass that you do have laugh out loud moments. Totally recommend.
