I love all kinds of movies and shows from Battle Star Galactica (reboot) to the Walking Dead. There's nothing I won't try.
I grew up in Kentucky in a small suburb just south of Cincinnati, Ohio, listening to hard rock and playing outdoors. In those quiet 1970's streets, I jumped bikes, played Nerf football, and came away with many scars.
My grandfather and many of my uncles and cousins served in the United States Military, and my father was a Kentucky State Trooper. Their efforts taught me the meaning of sacrifice and gratitude. I've always had an avid curiosity about the world around me, and I hope my enthusiasm for life carries over into my stories, even the dark ones.

Wow!!!
Wow does not begin to describe my feelings regarding this series. At 75 I have read thousands of books from all genres. This has been a great read. Never has an author developed such depth of character for all of those two inhabit the pages. I will forever remember Moe and all of the others.

Fantastic !!!
I would give the name of this to anyone who loves post-Apocalyptic stories.l loved the interplay of characters within the series,finding enthusiasm in all the complicated interactions
The last chapter brought all the main characters together at the end with startling conclusion of Randy and his sister .

Engaging Story
As I finished the book headlines appeared about a treatment resistant fungus making its way across the US, so maybe the story isn't totally fictional. The reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because there were so many characters with similar names (eg., Jessie and Jessie) that I had trouble tracking them. The story line, however, was engaging.

Excellent series !
I can honestly say these books were were one of the best series I have read. The characters are very well drawn and I got totally involved with them and their trials and tribulations.The stories are very gripping and I couldn’t put the books down. Just loved Moe and his tribe ,so original . Highly recommended and not to be missed.

Narrative of survival
This novel followed a predictable path, and that was disappointing. The major characters were mildly interesting, but they needed more more development for the roles. So many emotional experiences were described, but everyone's feelings were glossed over.

Outstanding!
Love, love, loved this whole series and all the characters. Mike and Kenny brought them all to life so that they all percolated nicely together… even the protagonists you had to hate were well written. I hated getting to the end! Well-done gentlemen, we’ll-done!

Another winner
If you are a fan of post-apocalyptic stories don't miss this one!
The really scary thing is that this could happen. In a society where corporate greed is allowed to run rampant only bad things will follow. Use this as a cautionary tale and don't become fungus food.

Lengthy but complete
A very detailed and well connected character driven almost end of the world saga of families and friends. Could have been shorter. I honestly skipped several hundred pages but felt I did not miss anything.

Sobering concept. Action packed.
Concept is thought provoking. Action throughout. Plots are finely designed and provide intriguing challenges for the reader. Ending was too soon
