Mo the beaver has a back itch and cannot find relief. Many animals come to say hi and offer advice but their suggestions don't work. Finally Liv the raccoon helps Mo out with a back scratch.
The rhyming is clumsy and the book is inconsistent in places. For example, when Mo tells the rabbit that he's fine, the rabbit responds with "Well, fine is not great". But when his back is finally scratched he exclaims that he is "Finally fine!".
