Ajmera takes us on the journey of Navratri in this beautifully illustrated guide that is rooted in the Vedic spiritual tradition from India-based in the oldest sacred texts called the Vedas. What this guide offer a transformation of the whole body and soul allowing for the balance of the nine Chakras (representing the layers of your mind) gradually as you move through the exercises. There is no right or wrong in the practice you choose for each Chakra. Ajmera encourages you to select what attracts you most in the moment, because it will be tied to your needs at the time.
The practices taught are meant to align the chakras in a systemic order until you reach number ten, which is a celebration of your accomplishment. While eventually, you can your work your way to moving through the sequence daily, it is encouraged to proceed on your own timeline with no pressure. The author shares her own experiences on her path to transformation and enlightenment until she embraced her own inner guru which is the purpose of her spiritual quest. The constant theme running throughout is that your inner warrior is powerful and can withstand the influences, negativity, and darkness of the outside, keeping you in the light.
A beautifully illustrated and empowering guide to embracing your inner warrior by following your own path of enlightenment. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for balance, self-love, a way to get in touch with your inner warrior and find spiritual peace through guided self-practice.
A book that awakens your inner warrior, a book that teaches you to slay both inner and outer demons, a book that elevates your soul, a book that connects you to the divinity in you, a book that leads you to your true Self. Each chapter is filled with life changing wisdom and daily spiritual practices, embodied by the power of a true Goddess (9 different forms of Durga).
Having benefited immensely from this book, I recommend to you #WayoftheGoddess with all my heart and soul. It's written by none other than Ananta Ripa Ajmera, a teacher who walks her talk, an old soul with mountains of wisdom and a wise friend who always leads me to the highest truth.
I have had the pleasure of learning from this book, since the beginning of the year, through the Spiritual Warrior Program. Each chapter has been personally transformational, it has allowed me to create inner stability in my life, it has taught me to love myself more than ever, it has allowed me to create boundaries and push away people that do not serve my soul, it has awakened my inner warrior that can stand in its power while ignoring any outside noises and most importantly, it continues leading me to my true inner self.
I can't wait to continue learning from this transformational book, applying the lessons to my life and helping share them with many deserving souls.
This is an illustrious and a luminous guide for navigating life's beautiful endless circular dance, using the nine forms of Durga Ma as a guide. The intention is profound, and the writing often shimmers with a sincere devotion but where Indian writers weave spirituality into this chaotic, lived in fabric of Indian ethos with all its dirt, devotion, and dynamism Ananta's work feels like a pristine, curated exhibit for the foreign gaze. Nonetheless it's a great guide for the soul.
"The journey to the Divine is not about adding more to your life—more rituals, more knowledge, more striving. It is the gentle, relentless art of letting go, until only She remains."
"You must raise yourself by yourself." You must work through your own illusions to find your true, divine Self, be devoted to this Self. and contemplate the Self throughout your life. Spiritual practice is a full-time awareness of what is eternal in your life. It is not a part-time ritualized practice only."
I have only just started reading this wonderful book and it is fast becoming one of the most valuable pieces of wisdom I have ever received. Ananta speaks so truthfully, lovingly and with such a depth of experience that every word lands so powerfully with me and inspires me to keep turning the pages. I know that this book has arrived in my life at the most perfectly aligned time and I am so deeply grateful for its existence. I feel so held and protected by the goddesses and by Ananta herself and it is this sense of being held that is so essential in motivating and encouraging us all to do this sacred work of self-discovery and soul embodiment. I offer my ego to the fire of self-knowledge and thank Ananta for this inspiring book that will support me in this lifelong commitment to my spiritual evolution.
"The Way of the Goddess" by Ananta Ripa Ajmera is a good book to learn about nine Indian goddesses. It explores the wisdom and practices associated with these goddesses, providing insights into their significance in Hindu mythology and spirituality.
It delves into the significance of goddess worship as a means of empowerment, healing, and spiritual growth. Ajmera examines various goddess archetypes and their relevance in modern life, offering insights into how individuals can connect with these energies to cultivate balance, resilience, and compassion. Through rituals, meditations, and reflections, the book guides readers on a journey to embrace the sacred feminine within themselves and in the world around them. Ultimately, it encourages a deeper understanding and appreciation of the feminine divine as a source of wisdom, creativity, and transformation.
Every book has a story to tell but this one allows you to rewrite your own story on the spiritual path. Even though you are not on this path, you have a story to tell because everyone is unique and we all have different journeys in this life. Through this book and the rituals mentioned in it, you can navigate through your past emotions, hardships, challenges, suffering, and many other buried emotions while channelizing your energy to the present moment. It allows you to discover your true self inside out and awakens your spirit to be a Goddess like a warrior at every stage, every chapter, and guides you to acknowledge your feelings only to rise above from untruth to truth, and from darkness to light. Love and Light.
It is a visually attractive book that weaves Indian religious practices with modern concepts of psychology. Ajmera has developed a set of practices to be repeated cyclically over nine days (or nine months). These practices are meant to help the reader to lead a balanced and peaceful life.
Ajmera has a refreshingly relaxed and inclusive attitude towards followers of her practices, and she has built a lot of flexibility into them. Her tone throughout the book is encouraging and supportive.
Though most ideas in the book can be tied into modern concepts of self-care and self-development, the concepts of chakras and vibration may leave some readers sceptical.
Through the power of practice, and using messages about the beautiful and powerful goddess Durga and her 9 avatar forms, Ananta has paved a way to assist in the beginner spiritual seakers journey as well as with the seasoned spiritual journier.
You'll find practical application of ancient wisdom in this book as well as deep reverence to Ancient Wisdom traditions found in Vedantic and Hindu history. With wise story telling of deva tales and direct translation into modern techniques that can be applied today, this book provides lessons that transcend time.
This book is wonderfully educating on all the archetypes of Goddess Durga with beautiful illustrations. If you are on a spiritual journey, this is a book for you! It takes you through each chakra, defines it, and gives you practices to balance them and heal on your spiritual journey from trauma and difficulty. I highly recommend this book, and it will remain a staple of reference for me. I am so excited to celebrate Navratri tomorrow and every day!
This is a fantastic self-help book filled with inspiration. Parallel drawn to the Hindu goddess Durga is amazing and unique. I felt this was not just finding your inner strength but also guide to spiritual soul searching. The author inspires the readers with her personal experiences. There is nothing more authentic than that.
Literally brilliant. There's lots of BS in a lot of new-age spirituality books, but this one was surprisingly good. A lot of content and ideology around the divine feminine can be super antifeminist and stereotype, but this one is very much not like that which I appreciate. And it's written by an actual south asian, so it's not whitewashed like most new-age spirituality stuff. awesome.
I listened to this book on Audible and although the material was fascinating, the deliberate enunciation and slow pace of the person reading, I wanted to pull my hair out and I nearly stopped it several times.
Glad I finished but would not choose to listen to this person read again!
This book is great, especially when you contemplate on some tasks and start implementing them. Reading is not enough, the best is to self reflect on some questions. I was long time looking for some knowledge about chakras, and here it goes. Thank you, Author.
This book changed my mindset on what it means to love and value yourself. I learned the importance of rituals and understanding your importance. The authors own stories were very inspirational and the quotes from the Bhagavad Gita were amazing. Great Book!!
