Fajr and Noor is a collection of quotes and poetry. A book filled with Noor that will illuminate your soul and guide you into a true Muslim. It is about the life of starting your day with Fajr and adorning yourself with Noor.
I liked the title and decided to give it a go thinking this would be something about some sensible positive stuff & inspiring quotes (which is also mentioned in the synopsis). After reading a few pages it became so bizarre. There are many things wrong with this book, First of all, it's under the category of Islam which didn't quite fit it, Yes this book contains some quotes related to that but the way they were written was something I didn't find appropriate. As the writer said: "As you're busy listening to the devil's music, I am busy falling in love with God's book." This doesn't sound like a beneficial thing to say or a way to advise someone, does it? This is just the one quote there are many like this.
Secondly, the author copied other writers' quotes and put his name underneath, copying someone else works and changing a word or two didn't make it ethical either. Joking about women's beards was pretty offensive too.
Much repetitive stuff, irrelevant quotes and written in a way that someone is just chatting randomly using message typing made it very immature. The title of this book is a trap a wrong title which does not portray a thing related to it. It wasn't worth reading.
The author is very young. You can tell. Overall some good parts but not his work. Other parts were a bit immature, such as the tasteless jokes about women and a wife’s expectations. Wouldn’t recommend and feel bad that I purchased his other 2 books. Returned them to Amazon and got my money back. Phew
I kept seeing it on social media and decided to give it a read… don’t buy it!! Not really worth reading. It has about 2/3 pages worth reading the rest is just random blabber you see about love on social media. No offence to the writer. Not really a good book to read if you’re trying to learn or gain knowledge of Islam, but it does contain quotes that make u laugh a little.
“The solution to our problems was introduced to us 1400 years ago, however our culture tends to leave it on the bookshelf collecting dust, rather than understanding it and applying it” - one of the quotes I actually liked :)
This book contained a lot of nice quotes and was also good to read through in a short time. However, there are many quotes that are just too random and unnecessary. One of them for example was: „Ramadan, I miss you.“ I am not sure how this is supposed to be poetry or a quote that should be in an inspirational book about the islamic religion. This book unfortunately did not meet my expectations, but it was still fine to read.
"Verachte was falsch ist, aber verachte nicht denjenigen, der Fehler macht. Kritisiere die Rede, aber respektiere den Redner. Töte die Krankheit, nicht den Patienten."
"Fajr and Noor" is a beautifully crafted poetry collection that resonates with the soul. The imagery and emotion in many of the poems capture the essence of spirituality and the journey of self-discovery. I found myself reflecting deeply on several pieces, appreciating the lyrical quality and the heartfelt expression of the author's thoughts.
However, I did encounter some poems that felt a bit disconnected from the Islamic themes that the title suggests. While I understand that poetry often traverses various subjects and emotions, a few pieces seemed to stray too far from the core themes that many readers might be looking for in a book like this.
Overall, I enjoyed the collection and its ability to evoke feelings, but I wished for a stronger alignment with Islamic concepts throughout. It’s a solid read for poetry lovers, but perhaps not what one might expect when seeking a strictly Islamic poetic experience.
⭐⭐⭐.5/5 ngl this book was beautiful but some part of the books were pretty immature. the writer used slang like 'sis', 'bro', 'idk', 'hella', 'the hell', etc. there were parts which were so deep and beautiful but then there were parts in which the write would write about some kinda funny type love story or yk some stupid something etc. i would recommend this book to the muslims who already have an aspect of islam in life but not to the person who is new to islam and want to gain some information. this book doesn't give you information on islam just kinda boosts you reflect more upon it. anyway it was a good book kinda immature but that's alright. you can give it a try if you want. aaalsoo this book was pretty easy to read because i completed it like in 30-45 mins.
The first half was enjoyable and fun, but the second half, I started to wonder if this author had got an idea block or something during the process of writing. Maybe the author is still young in the writing domain when this book is published.
The messages from this book are so straightforward and simple. It is a good book for those who want to start reading. I would recommend it to others, but not to the extent that I'll hype the book as much as tiktok hyped me... I expect more, actually, but it's okay.
Three stars for the messages and wake up calls throughout this book 👍🏼
Absolutely loved this book. This book tells you how beautiful being a Muslim is. The author really complimented both men and women which is one thing I really liked. It tells you how beautiful your life is when you follow the guidelines of Islam. I loved how the author highlighted that being modest and having a personality or character filled with haya can be the most attractive quality in a person. This was a really good book to tell you that if you want the Akirah and you work to please Allah alone then your life can be filled with Noor.
okay... i have mixed opinions about this book brah. first of all, good things! i looovveddd the unique perspectives on islamic things such as salah etc. i also loved the great motivational advice about reading quran and having a strong iman. but then there were those handful of poems that just informal and rude. like why ru saying "bro" and "idk" and etc in your POEMS. they're supposed to be POETIC. girly.... anyway... 3.5 stars but i rounded up ❤️
Umm…this was not at all what I expected. I thought it was going to be little quotes of daily wisdom with direct connections to the Quran but a lot of it felt quite opinionated at times. It just wasn’t giving anything but the typical “Instagram poetry”. Something about it felt off. I really thought I’d like this but it clearly not for me.
Also, this furthers me away from reading poetry by men (unless they are F.S Yousaf or Billy Collins) because my goodness, the vibes are so off!
There were a couple good quotes that I could relate to/they hit deep and a couple that were cringey. But overall it makes you reflect on your priorities in this life, how you present yourself vs how you should present yourself, and truly practicing what you read instead of storing it away in your bookshelf.
I expected wayyy more from the book. The title made me expect to see beautiful religious or spiritual poems and quotes, and though it did consist of a few, the majority of the book was very unserious. There were a lot of weird phrases that didn't make much sense or were just disrespectful to women. I feel like there was a lot of potential in this book that was lost.
3.75 ⭐️ I've been seeing this book on the internet for a very long time. I'm glad I read it, it had many beautiful quotes, some better than others. Ps, I read this book in an hour so a very quick read for sure
It was hard to pick a rating for this book, so I just stayed in the middle 3 stars. Some quotes were soooo goood and really close to me. But there were also some childish quotes which didn’t fit in the book and were random, also felt kinda disrespectful but idk. Overall enjoyed the book
I've never regretted buying a book so much in my entire life. There was so much repetition and grammar mistakes, it was unbelievable. Not to mention how it was written, using words like sis, bri, idk. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Bought it since it was very “hyped” online but was a little disappointed. The first dozen of pages were nice and motivational but after that it started to sound like a broken record. Writer is probably young of age so still respect for writing this book.
