I liked the storyline and the build-up of each character. It is very realistic and plausible that it could happen on Amercian soil, especially given our current government condition. I didn't dislike anything about the boom apart from grammatical or typo errors. Sorry Chuck, that is my MHS education and geekness coming out! I definitely recommend reading this book and will be getting the sequel.
Now we need Charles to autograph our book! Great job, old classmate!
Loved this book! The action scenes are described in great detail! I felt like I was right there with the team. I did not see the twist at the end coming and I am really eager for more books in this series!
Highly recommend for any action / spy adventure fans.
Cry of the Eagle delivers a high stakes military thriller that blends personal struggle with global consequence. Colt Hawkins is a solid, well drawn protagonist battle hardened, principled, and worn down by loss and responsibility. His internal crossroads add welcome depth to a story that could have easily focused only on action. The plot moves quickly, especially once the Eagle 9 satellite crashes and the race begins to recover its technology. The geopolitical tension feels timely, and the involvement of multiple forces CIA Task Force 24, Russian mercenaries, and Iranian radicals keeps the pressure high. The author’s attention to military detail and intelligence operations adds authenticity without bogging the story down. Overall, this is a gripping, no nonsense thriller that will appeal strongly to readers who enjoy modern military fiction, covert operations, and heroes tested both on the battlefield and within themselves.
This book has all the aspects of a good read, excellent plot, believable characters , action and mayhem. Add to that a smattering of romance and you get a book worth reading.
I hope this will be a series. I enjoyed Colt Hawkins character and hope to read more about him and Liberty.
Very interesting content, don’t let the length of time it took me to read it be a deterrent, I am a slow reader and at times my skittles brain takes over and I go weeks without picking up my books 😒 Well written and believable military fiction, can’t wait to see the next installment.
Great book. It was a great story it felt very real. Love the real life military knowledge that the author brings. I recommend this book to anyone who likes military, adventure and war type stories.
