I am not sure if this book was useful or not. I have had quite a bit of experience already from many years ago and some sections were a good reminder, but some (especially the end) felt a bit rushed and not really well explained. The book seems to best used for people who want to refresh their memory, but not to learn from scratch—and even the refresher is very high level.

This was a very well written book with examples, both written and audio. For someone with little to no understanding I was able to comprehend all that was being taught. Great book for beginners.

Ellul does a great job of distilling technical concepts into digestible chunks and reinforcing them with practical exercises.
