How would your life change if you woke up each morning with fresh hope for a new day? It's so easy to let the everyday tasks of life weigh us down. Run on autopilot. Go through the motions, telling ourselves we are ''getting through'' each day. But we weren’t designed to just ''get by,'' we were meant to thrive.
In Meeting with Jesus, Becoming Love in Action by Cleere Cherry Reaves, weary souls can meet with Jesus and discover God's many promises to supply a renewed strength -a strength that soars higher than our troubles, a strength that will not grow weary, a strength that delivers a fresh perspective for a greater impact in the world around them. As readers accept this invitation to sit in the peace of His presence for 30 days, they'll not only learn more of Jesus' love but feel it, being revived by precious time with Him.
not a fan but i will pass it on 2 some 1 else. hoping they will enjoy it more. it looks so simple, from the outside ... what am i looking for ... to the point, similar ... research this or that in the Bible ... and bam ... all good ... but there are a lot of words. i had found out about CCR ... from her Daysprings books but this is not as simple in my humble opinion. in the bits, don't even know what to call them ...but they are flip books that have about 3 different scriptures on them ... and you can keep them or give them away. i give them away all the time .. the mail person, some 1 you are tipping or whomever you are in contact with the daily ... so smart. i give them to folks who are getting my Christmas cards. so cool!! but this book is very wordie ... so not for me ... it is that simple ... i have a very wordie life ... need simple and too the point ...
This was a really great Bible study! Normally for Bible studies on a timetable, like 30 days or 6 week studies, I don't pay attention to the time frames and work through it at my own pace. But this one I actually finished in 30 days which was a first. I felt the days were a practical length, at least for me personally. Sometimes on busy mornings, it's easy to rush through a devotional, gratitude journal, or similar morning routine. But each day of this study was long enough to challenge me on those busier mornings to restructure my morning and make sure I had enough time to sit down and be present and fully focused, which I really appreciated. I really liked the amount of reading + work each day, it pushed me without being too much.
The scripture, devotion and reflection pieces are well thought out and meaningful to read. The questions about each day's scripture were a bit mundane. Overall, I enjoyed reading through this 30 day devotional series but feel free to skip the questions.
I love this book the author touched on a lot of key points starting with a word on what we should do, then with God's word. This book gives inspiration.
