Their Temptation #2

Shared by Daddy's 4 Dirty Friends

Rate this book
What daddy doesn’t know won’t hurt him but finding out his four best friends can’t keep their hands off me will probably kill him.

To get the most enjoyment from these books they should be read in order.

The only issue I have with the book is that Sophia's chapters are spelled "Sophia" but there are several times in the book her name is spelled "Sophie" and "Sophia" often in the same chapter.

Sophia has really gotten herself into something. It all started out a some Nice, Naughty Fun with her Father's 4 Best Friends but I'm pretty sure she never meant to fall in love or have the men fall in love with her.

A trip to Italy for Roman's cousin's wedding was all it took for Sophia to breakdown the walls around Roman, Holden, Nick and Gunnar's hearts. Each man has begin letting down their guards and gaining a new lease on life and have began to realize just what Sophia means to them.

A sudden health scare with Sophia's father cause the group to return to the US and arrive at his hospital bedside. Sophia is distraught because while she's been jet setting overseas with her 4 lovers her father was home working and not taking care of himself.

Roman, Nick, Holden and Gunnar jump into action and takeover all of Miles' responsibilities so that he can recover and relax. Unbeknownst to them while in the hospital Miles warns Sophia to be careful around them; although he trusts them to keep her safe they are still "Men" after all. Miles also mentioned that he wants Sophia to one day get married and have children. To bad Miles is still unaware of what's going on behind the scenes.

Remember Sasha; the receptionist who's hated Sophia since the first day she arrived? Well not only does she suspect Sophia of sleeping around but she has caught her in an intimate moment with Roman one day then the next day she witnessed Sophia and Nick kissing as well as catching Sophia kissing Holden and finally kissing Gunnar at work. Sasha is finally given her walking papers and she was not happy. I can only imagine what her form of revenge will be because it's coming especially since she wanted Gunnar in the 1st book.

Co-worker Neil is still trying to get a lunch date with Sophia. Something tells me he is up to something and is probably suspecting that Sophia is involved with one or more of the owners.

I there is another installment because I have to many unanswered questions.

Will Miles be ok? What is Sasha going to do next because it know it will be something shady AF? What's Neil's plan? Because I know he has one. What will Sophia do when she realizes all 4 of them have fallen in love with her? What will they do when they realize they all have fallen in love? Lawd have mercy what will Miles do when he finds out everything?

LOVED these sexy, protective & sweet men

POV: multiple
HUMOR: yes
F BOMBS: yes
STANDALONE: no
NEW AUTHOR FOR ME: yes
POSSIBLE TRIGGERS: attempted rape

MCs: FMC Sophia & 4 sexy, protective and sweet MMCs Nick, Holden, Gunner & Roman. Except for one time when Sophia was with two of them, the other sexy times were one-on-one with Sophia. No m/m. No fifth base. No swords crossed.

OVERALL: Pleasantly surprised - recommend - will read author's other works

PROS:
1. The author is able to express a genuine tenderness between the characters and the MMCs romantic gestures/awkward conversation starters to get to know Sophia better are really sweet.
2. The guys don't keep secrets from each other and they let Sophia know that. Communication and respect are so important.

CONS:
1. Not a Standalone - book begins like it was midway into the story and didn't have a recap, physical descriptions of characters, their ages, what business they're in, how they got together, and other characters and situations are referred to, etc. (must first read book 1)
2. Lots of smirking, blushing, biting/sucking her bottom lip, and giggling

NOTEWORTHY:
1. A thing of beauty: Sophia calms Holden's anxiety by reminding him of the garden in Italy and the details about the birds.
2. Author has great lines such as: (a) "She looks up at me, the wind tousling her hair, those sweet eyes that I'm convinced could stop a war." and (b) "I whimper and kiss him hard, licking against his tongue like I can taste his secrets..." Wow - just wow!

Totally loved this wild little hot romance with great characters from Sophie the lead female right through to four hunky gentlemen, Roman, Holden, Nick and Gunner even Roman's Nonna was an interesting minor addition. I found a few incidents in the story left me wondering if there was a story before this one with mention to a few other characters and a bit of a background on the whole scenario of Sophie joining into this scenario with her Father's business associates and friends. Even if there is or not a prequel to this, I still was able to navigate around the whole storyline and clearly follow it.
Loved the character of Sophie, strong, resilient and knowing what she wanted and taking control. Then of course having four mature aged men being able to share her attentions without any angst is always a winner. Some great moments when they arrived back to their work commitments in the office, again this was where Sophie's character shone.
Fantastic balance of romance and erotic romance, character definition and development and simple messages of finding that work and leisure balance we all need in life.

This book starts off with Sophia and her alpha male partners Holden, Roman, Gunner and Nick in Italy celebrating Romans cousins wedding. The relationship that Sophia has with all the guys are amazing! Each one is different in their own way yet intense sexually as well.

Sophia does a great job at giving each guy a side of herself which is different for all. She receives all the love and protection from them as well. I loved reading how each of their relationships grew while in Italy. Sophia is very in tune with how to approach the guys depending on how they differ from their time in the war.

It is getting harder Sophia and the guys to keep their relationships a secret and I’m wondering if this is the last we will hear from Sasha?!

I would have loved to see more time with Sophia and her dad, maybe this will come in the next book! And I would’ve loved to see this soccer match before they had to head back to New York.

Overall a great read with intense sex scenes and character development. I would recommend reading the first book in this series first though. You would be kind of lost if not.

Just when I think I couldn't fall deeper into this world, I find myself getting to know the guys even more. I can't pick a favorite, all of them have their endearing moments. And I love Sophia so much! I am just so enchanted with how they are all starting to fall for one another. A little surprised at one of them being able to admit it to himself. His character has developed by leaps and bounds. I found myself once again crying, laughing, eyes glued to my kindle as I hoped everything would turn out alright in the end. I cannot wait for more of them! This has become my newest and sweetest addiction.

So I read this straight after putting down the first book and it feels like I have;t changed books. I love how the characters are starting to open up to each other and their relationships are deepening.im interested to see how things continue in the next book as there are several events that have begun to develope but don;t feel that they are at their crescendo. I think the third book could be very eventful.

I really enjoyed continuing the story with Sophie and her guys. I can't wait for more insight into Gunner. He's so closed off and like Sophie, I want to know what makes him tick. Holden is coming out of his shell more and I'm here for it. I can't imagine what Miles will think. It's getting harder and harder for them to keep the secret and oh my lord the office drama with Sasha. I know we haven't seen the last of her.

I must say, I was kinda disappointed that the story didn't finish. I was so looking forward to seeing how the story would conclude. Alas I must wait for the 3rd book for my curiosity to be satisfied. Having said that, it was nice to see the further development of the relationships and characters in this book. In summary, another fast and easy read, leaving you wanting more.

I was give this book as an ARC, for a honest review. Overall the book kept my attention to keep reading. It got to the nitty gritty fast. But I felt it could have had more explanation of what was going on. Some things needed your own imagination to put more to the story. Overall, I liked the book and would have read it without the ARC.

To have four powerful men at your finger tips who can't get enough of you is what some would say dreams are made of. I am loving this series so far and love the main characters. They are good for each other and make everyone better people. Swoon worthy for sure. Looking forward to next installment.

Barbi Cox does not disappoint with Book 2 of Daddy’s 4 Dirty Friends

Book 2 starts right where Book 1 ended. In Book 2 we find out more about the characters and their past. Couldn't stop reading. Can't get enough of Sophia and her Daddy’s 4 Dirty Friends.

Fun entertaining and steamy, a very good storyline running throughout the whole series, that’s what keeps you coming back for more.
Plus the relationship between all the characters is really very good and addictive.

For some reason, I didn't realize that this was the 3rd book of the series. I was in the mood for an RH and stumbled upon this one. In the beginning, I was a little bit confused ( dhaa, I started with the 3rd book... What did I expect?! 🤣 ) but in the end, I managed to understand the storyline.

The dynamic between the characters was amazing. The alone time and the shared time were dosed perfectly. Nothing was too overwhelming, not even the spice. For an RH, this book was not that spicy. It's not a bad thing, by any means, just surprising.

I will go back and read the first two books, and I will definitely continue with the series because I am invested, and I wanna know what happens next. The story is beautiful, and the characters were amazing. Each and every one of them has his own trauma, his own deamons to fight, but somehow they function very well together, like a well-oiled machine.

The 4.25✨️rating was given only because I've started in the wrong order, and I was confused a good part of the book. That's on me.

If you want to read a good RH that has a lil bit of everything, read this series, but be a good normal human being and start with the first one 🤣.

short and spicy age gap RH

I almost didn’t read this series because of the titles, regardless of that this series so far has been short, spicy age gap RH. I am curious how it’s going to go when dear ol’ dad finds out 4 of his retired military best friends and work partners are sleeping with his ‘little girl.’

A short, expensive and somewhat boring book. Definitely felt like a filler book for within the series. I’m also finding all their relationships a bit boring the sex as well. And that’s disappointing being that they’re all older ex-military men. I think I just expected more. And sometimes they come across as if they’re more her age than the age they’re supposed to be.

Got about half way through and gave up. It’s not a bad book but for some reason I just couldn’t get invested in the characters which made it difficult to continue so I moved on to something else. Maybe others will have better luck but this one wasn’t for me.

love the tension and heart

Love that Sophie is finding herself amongst these four men and feels comfortable and drawn to each independently and together. If life were only this simple. I wish!

I do not know if I was on something when I read book 1 and enjoyed it and thought that I would try book 2. So wrong. Barely got through it and ended up skimming the last half to see if something good would happen. Nope.

'Shared by Daddy's 4 Dirty Friends' by Barbi Cox is the second book in her Their Temptation series and continues the story of Sophia, who moved to NYC to work in her dad's company, and four of her father's friends, all former platoon members and current business partners; Gunner, Holden, Nick, and Roman. The escapades continues on the trip to Italy to attend Roman's cousin, Massimo's wedding to Danny (from Ms. Cox's Friends With Goals series, great books). Sophia and the guys decide to extend their stay in Italy as they are having such a good time. Eventually they will have to head home. Sophia wonders how much longer she can continue the relationship with her men before her dad finds out? This isn't just an affair for Sophia, she is falling in love with each one of her guys.

Ms. Cox has continued her titillating, engaging, and delightful story that is more then just a sex romp with finesse. I like how each of the men bring out a different side of Sophia because woman are not 'one size fits all'. This story is emotional, with some angst, laughs, secrets, trust issues, passion, and plenty of steam. I enjoyed this book and recommend it to anyone who likes some kink with their romance. Well worth the read. Can not wait for the next one.

This story is the continuation of the first book in the series... which I didn´t read beforehand. Usually I like to read books in order when they´re in a series, precisely because sometimes it helps with the flow of the stories. I have to admit that I did feel a little rushed at the beginning of this story, it all just felt fast - like I had been dumped in the middle of a story .... buuuuut, definitely my fault for not reading the first one. Once I got acquainted with the characters after a couple of chapters, I felt a lot more involved in their development and in their storyline and everything had a nice easy flow. To experience a smooth flow from the very beginning, I definitely suggest you read the first book before continuing with this one ... although if you don´t, it`s really not a big deal, since you quickly get into a groove with the characters. Overall the storyline is great - with a great flow that´s easy to follow and to get involved in. I loved Sophia´s sweet, yet fierce, personality... and the 4 heroes were swoon-worthy each in his own way! As with all of Barbi Cox books, there`s tons of steam and love between the characters!

This is book 2 in The Temptations series and it’s 161 pages according to my Kindle edition. This is more of the same from book 1 with same main characters and a few added side characters. Some of the book takes place in Italy. This is more of the same shallow details and barely moving the story forward. Some of the intimate scenes are ok to good while others are skin worthy because it’s the same and I want more story. I just realized, where was Matthew in this story?!! An incident happens to Sophia’ dad, Miles, and things are happening in the office of the company but apparently Miles is MIA why???!!

I still hate the Sophia and Sophie name change up. Still hate the “sweets” endearment. I also noticed that the chapters are number in the table of contents but they are not number as you actually read the book so you have no idea what chapter you are on until it abruptly ends.

The books must be read in order as the story continues through each book and someone would be lost if they skipped a book.

With all that said, again not sure why I am reading on to book 3, but Lord help me, I am. Ha The books aren’t torture, but there is enough here to keep me going.

Side note the blurb for this book is lame and a tad misleading IMO.

There are plenty of steamy scenes, but lots of character development too. Each man has depth. As the story progresses, we are getting to know just how much they mean to each other and how each brings something unique to the relationship. I picked this up without having read the first of the series- However, I recommended that you start from the beginning. Barbi ties enough of the first book into the second that you aren't lost in any way, but you'll miss out on how everything came about. You'll want to read the next one too, to see what decisions they come to; for work, with respect to her dad, and of course for each other. I cant wait!

Barbi playfully hints at very light BDSM. Very light- the kind that makes a woman feel hungered for. Personally, I'd love to see it played out because it is between consenting adults and these days is far less taboo than a woman simultaneously involved, to put it decorously, with four very sexy men. But the absence of that doesn't diminish the work in any way. Ah...if only we all could have attention from multiple amorous suitors!

We left Sophia and the guys in Italy and they decide to stay on for a holiday. The first book was really good but this book is even better as we get to know more about Holden, Roman, Nick and Gunner. What amazing guys they have all turned out yo be, no wonder Sophia can't choose between them! My favourites are Holden and Roman but I'm sure you're not interested in that. Their relationship is getting deeper and is definitely about more than sex, Barbi has written this so well producing such strong, well rounded and defined characters.
They get some news that means they need to return home and back to work, how will their relationship work out back where everything has to be kept secret? I don't want to give away anything and ruin the book for others but it's definitely a must read, you need to read the 1st book first though. If you're not into reverse harums it might still be worth trying, I don't usually like RVs but I absolutely love these books and can't wait for the next.
I read an ARC of this book in return for a voluntary and honest review.
