He tried to break me.

He almost did.

But he doesn’t know what I’m made of…even though he should.

I’m finally free of Sceadu, but I’m not safe. Somehow the vampire who wants to kill me, found his way into my world, and he’s somewhere, lurking — waiting on the perfect moment to strike.

The blood-sucking b*stard!

Suddenly Thatcher comes calling with his deadly secrets, werewolf cousins, and annoying sister in tow. I don’t trust him, and yet, there’s something about this tender soul I’m irresistibly drawn to even though I shouldn’t be. But still… I want him.

Unfortunately, another monster knocks on my door. I wish my visions were more forthcoming about his motives.

This one has already taken me to the edge of hell, what more can he possibly do?

About the author

P.S. Meraux

P.S. Meraux writes books about paranormal chaos, sassy heroines, and creatures who are just a little unhinged (in the best way). She's an Indie and Amazon bestselling author—which sounds fancy until you realize it just means she drinks too much coffee and argues with fictional people for a living. Her stories mix sci-fi, mystery, romance, and a generous helping of “wait, did that just happen?”

P.S. has a thing for supernatural oddballs, morally gray weirdos, and badass women who save themselves (and occasionally punch vampires in the face). Her idea of worldbuilding is "let's break everything and see what grows back."

Originally from South Carolina, she now lives in Atlanta, Georgia, where her backyard is suspiciously full of fireflies and dubiously English for someone not living in a BBC period drama. There may or may not be faeries. There is definitely sarcasm.

I was so excited for book 2! I enjoyed it a lot and was really happy to be back with the crew. So much stuff happened in this book and now I'm left a long long wait for the next one. 💔

I do feel like I missed some chapters though, if there is a Dugo Uncut version I want to read it.

This sequel to Bellocaro strays a bit from the Blues and delves into the background of Skye. In it we meet her long absent father and half sister. I'm sure we aren't seeing the last of them of their friends. There's definitely unfinished business. And by the end, there's an interesting twist that should make the third book quite interesting as well.

My Vampire Boyfriend, His Werewolf Cousins, and My Daddy Issues Walk Into a Bar…

Welcome back to the Bellocaro Saga, where logic takes a nap, and teen drama does cartwheels. Dugo is the second installment of P.S. Meraux’s YA Paranormal Romance series, and yes—I read it. Willingly. After surviving book one. And weirdly? I kind of loved it.

We pick up with Skye Moon, our heroine with the most YA name imaginable. She's fresh off the magical island of Sceadu, where she was "spellbound"—which apparently means emotionally scarred and time-traveled back to Georgia with a vampire-sized secret she can't tell anyone. Because of course she can't. That would be too easy.

Enter Thatcher Blue, the hot vampire with eternal youth, eternal patience, and a family tree that requires a creature feature cheat sheet. Things seem okay… until Skye’s dad shows up. Surprise! He’s been MIA, living in Texas with his other family (because one dysfunctional household just isn’t enough), and he suddenly wants to reconnect—with strings. And emotional manipulation. Because why not?

Turns out Daddy Dearest knows all about vampires and werewolves, which is super convenient and not suspicious at all. Skye gets blackmailed into joining him in Texas (great parenting), where she discovers she has a half-sister who’s practically a ghost—literally or emotionally? Unclear, but points for trauma layering.

And let’s not forget Dugo’s second wife, who is less “wicked stepmother” and more “speciesist supernatural bigot.” She’s got opinions, and spoiler: she doesn’t exactly swipe right on Team Furry or Team Fang. Honestly, she’s like the Yelp reviewer of supernatural beings — would not recommend to be around her during a full moon.

Plot twists abound. Secrets unravel. Forbidden love intensifies. Skye can’t catch a break, but hey — who needs therapy when you’ve got a hunky vampire and generational trauma?

Bottom line: Dugo throws family dysfunction, romance, and supernatural politics into a blender and hits "chaotic evil." It’s messy, dramatic, occasionally unhinged, and somehow still a good time. If you’ve got Kindle Unlimited and a high tolerance for drama, go for it. Just don’t expect logic to stick around for the ride.
