3,5 stars actually

This series has really been one of my comfort series, when i am in a slump this is one of the series/books i reread. I really like Everleigh aka Ever, how badass and kickass she is, even tho she has not revealed that much of her abilities. I liked the previous book more, i just felt that some action was missing. I love how much the guys adore Ever and would do anything for her. My fave is the more psychos and crazy ones, like Atlas, Rage and Jensen. But nah okay i love them all equally, it´s hard to not love all of em. There is so much of their pasts that i feel we have not really dived into that deep, we have just brushed the surface. Like Ever´s past which i feel that i am the most curious about, i mean that girl has gone thru more than you will ever know. But also the guys, like i want to know more about them what they gone thru the years when Ever was not with them. ( i mean more on the deeper level)
The best scene where when Jynx and her guys was hanging out with Ever and the guys. Omg i love Jynx and Ever, fucking girl power! I am excited for the guys to know how they met, their reactions lmfo.

OMG that ending?!! what the actual hell, noo you did not end like that... even more secrets and revealing, gaah i am so ready for the next book. I need it like yesterday

Hard Read

As usual, a lot happens in this book. And as usual there are more mysteries to be solved when only one has been cleared up. Yes there is a cliffhanger but honestly if you’ve been reading the books, it’s not really a shock. The reason I gave the book 3 stars is because it took me so long to get through it. Not because it’s a large book but because it was a hard read. I got bored and distracted from it very easily which is not normal for a Nikita Parmenter book. Not even book 3 which has the bizarre transition to the private school. A book that would normally take me a few hours took me three days to read because it was such a hard read. And as much as I have loved all that she has written, if there doesn’t start to be some closure to some of these issues, I am not going to make it 20 books. That is excessive if we are waiting on the same problems to be solved for 20 books. This is the exact reason that I quit reading the Artemis University series. By making the series that long, you lose your audience because the story peters out instead of staying engaging. I hope you reconsider the 20 books but as long as they stay interesting, I will keep buying them, I guess.

Compelling Storyteller

This is the fourth book in a continuing series. You need to have read the previous books in order to understand this one. Be warned, there is a cliffhanger, however it comes at a natural break in the narrative.

***TRIGGER WARNING: This book contains references to childhood abuse and and the consequences of those experiences including panic attacks, nightmares and violent behaviour.***

Ever, her guys, Peter and Rage are all working towards finding out what happened the missing Phoenix initiates from over 20 years ago. Despite receiving warnings to stay away from the mystery, none of them can walk away. They want to find justice for the missing and resolution for their families.

Throughout this book we see Rage and Ever become closer and Peter becomes more invaluable to the team utilising his research and computer skills. As well as being embedded in the work the team is doing, Peter becomes more a part of the group as a friend and the team contemplate bringing him fully aboard with all parts of what they are doing.

This books focuses much more on the Phoenix mystery than Atlas’ father and his criminal empire, because for once that seems to be a greater immediate threat to Ever’s safety. We also get to see more about Ever’s mysterious past that she tries to keep hidden from the guys, but also more about her history that she was unaware of.

The story continues to be full of passion and affection and Ever and her guys’ relationship goes from strength to strength. I like that despite there being 7 guys to 1 girl there is more about the love and support they show each other and sleeping peacefully as there is about hot shower sex and multiple partner scenes.

I will warn you that there are quite a few typos and incorrect usage of words like they’re/their and if this drives you nuts, you probably didn’t get past the first couple of books in the series. However, you learn to skip over the errors because the storytelling is so good. As a reader you are compelled to keep going just to find out what happens next. This author is excellent at driving forward your need to ‘read just one more chapter’. It’s very easy to find yourself at 2am blinking gritty eyes and wondering how you are still awake.

You do have to suspend your disbelief in a lot of places because it’s not exactly police procedure to accept the confessions of torture victims as proof of their misdeeds and send them to jail. Nor is it likely that a senior FBI official will accept a completely off the books team of crime fighters that take out the bad guys when official channels can’t, without knowing who they are. However, little details like that can be swept away because the story is entertaining and fun to read.

I like that we are slowly getting to know Ever and her guys as they share their history with each other, as well as as memories are shared with the reader instead of between the characters. Each character has their own set of problems and damage done to them, which makes them more distinct the longer we know them.

This is an entertaining and captivating book, just like the rest in the series, and I can’t wait to read the next book when it comes out.

I did a full review on FB about this book and the series so I am just going to copy paste it...
However, first I wanted to ask... Am I the only one that noticed in four books she has only had one period? All that sexy time and no period since xmas? And no baby? Hmmm...

As much as I loved this series, Finding my home by Nikita Parmenter Author ,I think I am going to stop after I am finished book four.
Not because I don't want to read more of it, I do, it's just that I didn't know the series was incomplete when I started reading it...Goodreads gave the impression it was a five book series however, I was just on the why-choose website and found out there is at least one more book, or more, coming out still, and I HATE cliffhangers.
It's better that I wait until the series is completed before I continue.

Plus, if you know me, you know I am somewhat of a snob when it comes to grammar and punctuation in the books I am reading. When there are multiple errors, it takes away from the story so, when I am dealing with a series that suffers from multiple errors...like....so many.... I have to just read straight through. No breaks. Well, except for sleep... that's unavoidable...

So, I am going to put this series on hold for now, and revisit the why-choose website at the end of December and see if the series is completed.

If you are looking for a good story, then this series is really good... The only thing I NEED to warn about is the headache you may suffer with missing words, extra words, misspelled words, mixed UK vs USA terms and constantly referring to the GROUND as the FLOOR when referencing the outdoors.... As well as other minor things... If you can handle all that or train your brain to skip those issues, then this series has my full support.

Like I said... The STORY is a solid five / five.

Nikita is a good author. Not sure what happened in this series where the grammar and punctuation were concerned.... But she has a great mind for story telling.

Brutal

OMG!!! Why?!? Why do you do these things to us Ms. Parmenter? This was a fantastic fourth book but I still hate cliffhangers. I love Ever and her story, I'm addicted to it. I loved getting to know Rage, Jynx and Peter. I loved the horses. I did not love the parents in this book except Shawn and Zeke, everyone else has way too many things to explain. Overall though, this series is shaping up to be one of my favorites ever, pun intended.

What the h did I just read?
This series is absolutely one of my favorites and I kind of had a suspicion about what happened in the end, but it was more complicated and twisted than I thought.

And oh boy, don't get me started about the guys. I can't even pick a favorite. They all have something that Ever needs and the dynamics are absolutely amazing. Now I'm (not so) patiently waiting for book 5 and of course, Jinx’s story.

Absolutely wonderful.

Warped Revelations

The fourth book in this series gives us some closure on things and answers to others. Ever and her men have been going non stop with jobs and can't wait to have some down time together. With a masquerade ball and secrets revealed you will want more.

Warped Revelations

So many mysteries around every turn! Ever and her guys are still looking into the secret society called Phoenix but now there is the added mystery of Ever’s mother and father’s past.
One of the other mysterious things is how Ever knows Jynx and what exactly they were up to in the past. There are so many unknowns and it seems like when something is finally answered, there is another mystery to solve.
I’m excited to see how and if Ever and Rage grow. I really hope that Rage sees how much Ever is truly a match for all of the guys, including him.
At the end of the book a major secret is revealed about Ever. I had a feeling I knew wheat the secret was, and I was right. I can’t wait to see how the guys take the news about Ever’s secret identity.

A wild goose chase where everything is connected

This book took me a while to get through mostly because I took a break bc it became a bit tiresome and also because I found out that there aren’t any other books out yet, and I dislike finishing a series before it’s finished. Still though.

I like the series but even with the revisions there is still serious need for editing with the random punctuation, words and misspelling. The wrong words being used, I am thoroughly convinced our author does not know the difference between bought and brought because they are continually used incorrectly. This is rather annoying bc I would think someone would have caught it by now especially with the revisions. There’s also some editing in repetitious sayings, sentences and wordings or explanations. These could be cut or reworded but to not say the exact same thing as only 5 paragraphs ago. We also got tons and tons of description on things I truly didn’t care about. The dresses, the decor, etc don’t care. Not important to me unless we are noting what someone is wearing in relation to having to remember them or bc they need the outfit for a reason.

A few things were alluded to but still weren’t told to us the audience.

I love Rage I think he is a great character and addition to the group. I especially love Peter he’s a great friend to Ever and a great addition to the group as well. I never really liked Riley she is shady to me.

I find it weird how everything is interconnected, I dislike that Ever thinks it’s her job to figure out these deaths. It’s also odd how much the FBI, parents etc aren’t a part of this. Some of it is a little too fantastical.

Overall I do like the series, hopefully plan to read more but this could benefit from a professional editor bc I think there is a really good potential story here that is being undercut by the editing.

Good premise

Okay so I have read all the books and while I like the storyline and think it has great potential, the writing is not stellar. The “character” go off on tangents that have little relevance and basically repeats everything multiple times. And if you’re looking for more sexy time scenes, these are rushed and does not quench the readers thirst for those scenes. It’s not even slow burn, it’s nearly nonexistent. Also grammatical errors are prominent with this one.

man i am too stunned to speak right now
the plot twists were mostly really easy to pick up before them although i still felt shocked when they revealed
one thing that i really like is that we kind of pick up the things in the same way as the characters and thats really cool
i knew that liking liam was a good thing as brazilians say ‘eu passo pano cm brilho para ele’ 😘
as i breeze through the pages i see myself falling for all of them, including peter, liam and atlas’s uncle
i don’t know how to feel about amelia (maybe there’s a spoiler, so be careful), i mean i understand her motives but if she new that her boyfriend was dangerous she shouldn’t leave her daughter with him even if she said she should be with her closest friend, so i’m with Ever
i can officially say that Marvin is a b*tch and he should get away with just killing, he deserved worse than he got
love to see rage improvement and i hope we don’t meet another hot guy because that would be a problem
also what’s up with Blake, like go do something more interesting and back the f*ck up
spoiler alert: Liam saying to the guys that Ever was Shadow was soo shocking and funny (excited for her actions as shadow now kkkkk)
my favs are still the ones that i listed in the last review

Hopefully optimistic

So far this has been the best book of the series. I'm not sure if its just because they saw darkness in each others eyes in every chapter of the last three books and finally took a break from that. Idk. But holy pineapples there was an actual thing happening here this time. That I wasn't so annoyed that and that it gives a cliff hanger that's the only reason that kept pulling me back before this. There was still a cliffy but that's not what is keeping me with this now. Hopefully the next book doesn't go back to the first three books of the series cause those were excruciating to get through. This one though was exciting and kept me on my toes throughout the whole thing. I scoffed a couple times but didn't want to throw everything away and give up on reading because of it. Definitely improved!

Cliffhanger!!!!!!!

What a cliffhanger! Only four stars because there were a lot of errors in the details, which is kind of frustrating because you read it one way only for it to be switched which then makes you doubt yourself. An example of this is they were getting whisky out the cupboard but then they were drinking vodka and they were going to horse ride in the morning and see a lady in the afternoon but the next day they go straight away to see a lady. This happens quite a bit.

That being said, I love this series and most of the guys, some of the guys get more written interactions than others and I think you could easily do without a few of them as they don't bring anything. I'm looking forward to finding out evers secrets and for a particular person to get their comeuppance.

blew me away - amazing!

Wow, this book was phenomenal, full of secrets, action, unknown threats, payback, and lots of steam.
The emotion and detail keeps you mesmerised and the twists have you not being able to put the book down until the very last word.
I loved seeing Jinx and her guys in this book along with Ever and her guys - loved Ever and the guys blossoming relationship. The constant touches, kisses and looks are perfection.
The storyline really takes you on a journey, the highs and lows.
Overall a fantastic book that I completely inhaled in one sitting, can’t wait to read the next book.

Read then reread again and again

Love this author love they way she writes the characters she creates and the world she’s built in my mind through her words. Every single time she releases another book in her series I reread the previous books as well before I read her new release that’s how much I LOVE her creations. I am yet to get tired off the world she’s created or the characters that’s she aided in me falling in love with everyone of them. I sit in frustrated anticipation for each new release in all of her series she’s created not just this one. Definitely worth buying as it’s totally captivated my imagination.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌶🌶 ♟♟♟

Nikita Parmenter has done it again. The fourth book in her Finding My Home series was mesmerizing. Warped Revelations continues the story of Ever and her guys, and I devoured it in less than a day after downloading it. Even with the mystery and suspense which has been expertly drawn into the series by this point, the author has retained the underlying sweetness found in the first book, Home. I can hardly wait for book 5!

Arrrggh

I have loved this series. I mean I can count on one hand how many contemporary reverse harems I have read and enjoyed. I usually stick with the paranormal, sci fi or fantasy fic. (Got tired of just werewolves awhile ago.) Anyway I did find that I was coming to some right conclusions but I of course just hit the dreaded cliffhanger. Please don't make me wait a year to get another book.

Love this series.

I love this series so much, and it will definitely stay with me. The characters are so lovable and the storyline is intriguing and surprising. I’m really liking where this series is going. Four stars because though I love this series, it fell off a bit at some points. Just the writing style really, but I will read as many books this author releases because there’s just something about them you can’t resist.

There’s a lot of moving parts in Warped Connections. I am enjoying the overall story, but the amount of threats at one time gets a little overwhelming. I enjoyed the growth of Ever’s harem. They are all settling into a solid relationship.

Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Not the best book in the series, but it does a great job pushing the overall storyline forward. A few big questions are answered but you also end up with quite a few new questions.

I couldn't put it down!

I love all of the main characters and the developing story. Once I started the first book in the series I couldn't stop until I finished the latest release. I will be anxiously anticipating the next book! I love that you took so many different back stories that can be relatable to those who have struggled with similar pasts and enabled the characters to grow past the rough edges.

It has been a long time since I’ve been so drawn into a book that it’s difficult to sleep or get anything done. I can say this happened for every single book in this series, furthermore for every book by Nikita. She is a gifted author, and not reading her books is doing a disservice to yourself. Her stories are so intricate and well planned out, even with cliffhanger endings I’ll read them again and again. I can not wait for the next book to release in each series!

Warped Revelations, the fourth book of the Finding my Home series, is an ebook I borrowed through Kindle Unlimited (KU). Grammar nerds beware. This is a series (I've read five books back to back before reviewing) riddled with grammar and spelling errors that can't be attributed to an English author writing about American characters. Twists and turns continue in the Warped Revelations. Ever and the guys are up against some weird plot twists and twisted characters.

brilliant series

I am loving the series. The characters are very well developed and the plot evolves seamlessly.
It is dark, but well balanced with humour and funny quirks of each character.

One issue though, and I hope Nikita reads this and takes it seriously: you need to review your ponctuation. Misplaced commas really mess up sentences and their meanings. Please have your editor or proofreader fix it..
I’m now really looking forward to reading the next instalment

Always wanting more...

Much like with previous books by Nikita I was left wanting the next installment in this series! Love the characters and I can't wait to see how they continue to surprise each other. There are a few grammatical hiccups, but nothing to detract from the telling.

After following Ever's story through all the other books, I was very disappointed to read this one. The mess that started in book 1 seems to just keep getting bigger and it is annoying that they don't get a moment of peace and to strengthen their relationship because they are just fighting off all the problems that just keep accumulating. It was definitely a downside from books 1 and 2.

I absolutely love this series and Ever is an amazing female lead. There are so many revelations in this book and I definitely do not want to spoil it for anyone but do yourself a favor and read this series. I cannot wait for the next book.
