With the issues troubling his beloved mother fully resolved, Asterios decides to travel back to the place where she was born, the city of Tyrienheim, just to be sure that she would be completely safe from any retaliation from the prideful nobles. And for another reason, which is the nearby village of Teira, Ast's own birthplace and where Kindra saved him from the merciless flames that took the lives of everyone else, including his real parents.
Asterios, Miria, and Selene will finally embark on their journey of uncovering his mysterious past, naturally, starting with the place where everything began. To discover every single clue, they might require help from another powerful summon, and perhaps, Ast's very peculiar researcher friend. Another visit to the academy might be inevitable. But, is Grea the only person eagerly awaiting Asterios' return?
Introduction: Greetings, fellow adventurers from the icy realms of HowlStrom. I am Kiba Snowpaw, a Furry male Ice Wolf with the power of ice magic, and I've been gaming all my life. Today, I bring forth my thoughts on the third volume of J.R. Saileri's captivating series, "Rise of the Weakest Summoner."
Basic Plot Summary: Asterios, having resolved the issues concerning his beloved mother, embarks on a journey back to Tyrienheim, her birthplace. With companions Miria and Selene, they seek to uncover the mysteries of Ast's past, starting from the village of Teira, where tragedy once struck. As they delve deeper into the secrets, they find themselves revisiting the academy and encountering familiar faces, some eagerly awaiting Asterios' return.
Analysis/Evaluation: Saileri's storytelling prowess shines brightly in this volume. The intricate weaving of past and present, combined with the emotional depth of the characters, creates a tapestry of adventure that's hard to put down. The narrative flows like the icy rivers of HowlStrom, with twists and turns that keep the reader engaged.
Characters: Asterios continues to evolve, showcasing depth and determination. Miria and Selene, with their unique personalities, complement Ast's journey, adding layers of complexity to the story. The introduction of new characters and the return of old ones, like Grea, add spice to the narrative, making it a delightful read.
Structure: The pacing is impeccable. Saileri masterfully balances action-packed sequences with emotional moments, ensuring that the reader is always on their toes. The transitions between scenes are smooth, reminiscent of snowflakes gently settling on the ground.
Impact: The emotional resonance of this volume is profound. As a reader, one can't help but feel connected to Asterios' quest for answers, rooting for him every step of the way. The revelations and discoveries leave a lasting impact, making one eager for the next installment.
Hook and Thesis: The allure of uncovering one's past, combined with the challenges and adversaries faced, serves as a powerful hook. The thesis revolves around the idea of self-discovery, understanding one's roots, and the lengths one would go to protect loved ones.
Praise and Critique: Saileri's world-building is commendable, and the character development is top-notch. However, while the harem elements add a unique flavor, they might not resonate with everyone. The exploration of Asterios' past is the highlight, offering a rich backstory that adds depth to the overall narrative.
Evaluation: "Rise of the Weakest Summoner: Volume III" is a masterpiece in the fantasy genre. It's a roller-coaster of emotions, packed with action, drama, and heartwarming moments. Saileri has outdone himself, and I eagerly await the next volume.
Comparison: While the series draws parallels with other fantasy novels, it carves its niche with its unique blend of magic, romance, and adventure. The furry elements, combined with the intricate plot, set it apart, making it a must-read.
Conclusion: In the vast expanse of fantasy novels, "Rise of the Weakest Summoner: Volume III" stands tall, like an icy peak in HowlStrom. It's a tale of love, sacrifice, and discovery that resonates deeply. As Kiba Snowpaw, I wholeheartedly recommend this book to all, especially those who seek adventure and mystery. May your journey be as thrilling as Asterios'!
What a huge mistake on my part! Such a twist and bit of confusion on my part having to do with the cover and the female 😂 all I will say. This book was sooo good and got so much done! I love Suanori 😂 she knows Ast and his shenanigans ! I also like the principal. So many likeable side characters even if they don’t have huge roles. Grea is my girl 🤣 I love her. She has me laughing so much. I was kind of worried for a minute about Kindra the way she was acting and talking… at first I thought she was going to be in love with Ast, I was going to be like uh oh… because she said some questionable things. But she’s also one of my favorites especially how she was with the high elven blacksmiths 🤭. She’s always funny. I’m so happy for Tina, Selene too. Things are really coming along. Ast is also coming into his powers but more mysteries are also surrounding him and the plot is thickening. That cliffhanger at the end was good! Let’s dive into the next book! Saileri you’re genius! Onward lads!
I honestly don’t typically like these types of books written by men but I’ve read the series up to this point and I am still reading. I enjoy the overall story line and the various characters in the story. They have depth and an ability to continue to grow with the MC not being the most OP of the bunch and not afraid to recognize the strengths of his companions.
There are some sex scenes but they are fine and don’t take up an overwhelming amount of the story. The story surrounding the MC is really intriguing and I think that alone is enough to keep anyone interested in the series. Plus we have been introduced to new characters that likely have interesting stories as well.
Overall do recommend reading but will warn does have some detail sex scenes.

Asterios is investigating into his birth parents what will he find ?
Asterios lives with his mother in the city of Rosewind his mother running a jewelry store a branch store as store manager . They leave the branch store jewelry store an head back to her parents home after being gone for 19 years she left when she was 15 years old it was time to be reunited . With saying good bye to a female classmate an the principal and professor they set off for the next adventure then later looking into his birth parents if they are still alive or not for he was orphaned . recommend reading excellent series .
The only thing I don't totally love about this series is how wishy washy the MC is towards the ladies at times. He doesn't pursue any of them until they've already thrown themselves at him completely. It would be more interesting if there was a bit more yearning from his side instead of only treating them as pleasure dolls when they're into him.
Ugh other than that the world building is interesting and the character development is decent. I just wish the MC wasn't so nonchalant about the way he goes through the motions of life.
It was a great story until the summoner until Ast brought n his last male guest on board . His curiosity and lack of knowledge overstepped his bounds . Also ...the story has become a boring with just how nice Astrologist is. . sometimes in a story with as much asexual overtone its impossible to believe an 18:year old can bypass the temptation . It was an interesting g story until the author went his way and introduced a male summon who is very powerful introducing fear into.the MC .For me.the story ends right here as the supposed hero shows his lack.pf.common sense
Volume 3 of the series and I am still engaged with the story, so that must be a good sign! I’ve been enjoying the world building and mysteries surrounding the MC’s origin, with the writing style staying consistent and entertaining.
The more I read each intimate/seductive chapter in the series the more I find it hard to take them seriously, unfortunately. While I can tell the choice of language and descriptions for these spicy scenes is supposed to be erotic and salacious, they all seem to be landing in the same way as graphic for the sake of it.
I can't wait for more of this story. This volume was very good and we'll written. On a side note I was pleasantly surprised to find that Saileri has gone the opposite of his contemporaries and made each volume of this series longer than the previous: #1 ~300, #2 ~380, #3 ~420 pages(on my kindle fire), I hope this pattern continues reaching a comfortable ~600 pages(in my opinion).
Enjoyable, if a bit of a weird incestual vibe. Like who goes and hugs their mother from behind and starts playing with their hair? Sure this guy has some weird addiction in touching women's hair even strangers which should get him slapped but that's his mom.
No the 'he's adopted' logic doesn't work since he was adopted as an infant, that's his mom for all intents and feelings, so his snuggling her while sleeping and intimate hugs and hair strokes is just a bit...incesty.
The content of the story itself is serviceable and pretty enjoyable its got a simple but relatively interesting plot. But it's clear English isn't the writers first language and the grammar and dialogue get really grating after a bit. You can only describe something as "instantly" or "In a flash" so many times. The overall enjoyment of this series would increase drastically if the author could get an editor and a thesaurus.
This series just gets better… I am really enjoying it and very happy. There are several other books ahead of me. The character is entertaining and I like the people I like the methods an exploration and I love the fact that there’s not a big villain per se, that there’s just a mystery. I get really tired of there always been a villain you got a fight. I find the whole storyline not exactly original but definitely intriguing and keeps you wanting more.
Going from a weakling summoner to increadably powerful one with 3 very powerful summons' is just Ast's life now. He was an orphan saved from a fire by his mother, but they have no history for him. His personal quest is to figure out who his parents are and why was he left in a burning house...
Truly enjoying the series now and all the revolutions coming about. Saileri is really hitting his stride here that seemed to be missing from the first book ans just growing in the second. My new favorite demon teacher is back with her foul mouth! And a new… what? Dwarven-elf chick? Very nice lol. And of course Umbra. Great read and book III really got my traction in the series. Can’t wait for book 4!
I can only hope the next one will be released quickly, because this starts an arc that just leaves you wanting more. While the first two were fun, it is now building up to a very solid story point. I have high expectations for the series.
More digging into asterios past.but mostly only crumbs of info found. However some battles on the way but not many. Most of this book was powering up himself with better toys or his summons. I hope the next book has more battles and grind. Still looking forward to the next.
I really enjoy this author’s writing style and storytelling. The story is interesting, but lacks the hovering doom and drama of a big bad guy. This allows the story to focus more around the characters and their building relationship. It is a joy to read and I cannot wait to find out what happens next!
I would have given it full marks, but the steamy scenes come out of nowhere; plus theres usually only one per book. I realize those scenes contrast with the tempo of the rest of the book (mostly bc of the eastern style thats hard to blend into explicit)… but if its going to clash once.. might as well clash a few times.
Like the previous books, some very odd grammar choices by the author. The growing mystery about the MCs past is pretty good. The mannerisms of Grea seem inconsistent with the rest of the story. Maybe because she is from the ‘demon continent’ but feels like lazy writing to me.
The Coin Cage of Love has finished its penitence. We are all physically sick at the moment, so this review will just be recorded clips from other reviews:
Dull plot line with no character development, main character is right out of smartphone isekai, other characters are overused tropes, in**st fetish, God I hate Cersei. Don't use that bin, Frank.
Yet another fantastic read!!!! Plenty of twists and turns to keep us focused on our young adventure and his bevy of monster and human girls!!! Hopefully now we will start to learn more of the MC's unique birthright!!!
Ast has gotten himself some new information and is trying to figure out the best way to use it. Plus we see more relationship building. Looking forward to the next one!
I really enjoyed reading this book. The story and characters continue to be interesting and engaging. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next. This book is definitely worth reading.
I enjoyed the story, but in some ways it felt like the story was 'getting out of hand', as the hero keeps adding to his potential power levels with more ‘familiars’ and over-the-top equipment. Also, annoyingly, there will soon be the increase in his personal harem, when Tina graduates.
This series is very interesting as I enjoy the growth of the MC and his party and the world building. The MC is smart and hardworking and the secondary characters are interesting with many of them being very well written and thought out.
Good series continues in Book 3. New summons, and new characters are introduced to the story. The book ends suddenly just as they seem to be about to enter battle, so I need to hurry and finish this review to get on to read the next book.
Here I am still continuing the series. This one though the high points could not counter the low. Felt like this entire book fluff and bad harem building. On to the next one hopefully its not like this one.
Have enjoyed this series and plan to finish what you've written soon. Love your pacing and the way you tell the story. Great main character and super support. May god bless you and your arts.
