She wanted to reunite an elderly woman with her son. Instead, she found a murderer.
Hana Blackwood is a former soldier and police officer trying to find herself in a complex world. Unfortunately, trouble follows her wherever she goes.
She left her home in St. Louis and drove to Florida to convince Douglas Claypool to visit his elderly mother before she dies. Instead she found his grave…and the graves of four other men.
All five men had married the same woman and died shortly afterwards. It’s a pattern, but there’s a the woman these men married doesn’t seem to exist.
Hana’s investigated complex crimes, but this might be the trickiest investigation she’s conducted. And she’s doing it without a badge or help.
Worse, she’s not the only person on the hunt…
New York Times' bestselling author Chris Culver's engrossing Hana Blackwood series has a hero you’ll love and suspense that’ll make your heart pound.
Chris Culver is the New York Times bestselling author of the Ash Rashid series of mysteries. After graduate school, Chris taught courses in ethics and comparative religion at a small liberal arts university in southern Arkansas. While there and when he really should have been grading exams, he wrote The Abbey, which spent sixteen weeks on the New York Times bestseller's list and introduced the world to Detective Ash Rashid.
Chris has been a storyteller since he was a kid, but he decided to write crime fiction after picking up a dog-eared, coffee-stained paperback copy of Mickey Spillane's I, the Jury in a library book sale. Many years later, his wife, despite considerable effort, still can't stop him from bringing more orphan books home. The two of them, along with a labrador retriever named Roy, reside near St. Louis where Chris is hard at work on his next novel.
I LOVE Chris Culver's books and have read every one of them. The Hana Blackwood trilogy is one of his best yet. It held my interest through all three books and never disappointed me with a cheesy solution to any of the mysteries.
I have enjoyed the entire trilogy. I have read most of the books written by the author and all have kept my interest. I highly recommend this trilogy and books by this author.
