Curious Matrix: Questions I always wanted to ask

Rate this book
Curiosity is all around us. You just need to explore it. This book is doing exactly that - exploring various questions and hypotheseses about past, present and future world and society we're living in.

How would a human child develop without external influence and love?
Is social media leading society into oblivion & abyss?
What is the impact of too much information on humans, their depression, and anxiety?
What will sex robots do to humanity?
What would happen to the world if we all stopped spending money?
How would people behave if there were no laws?
What would happen if a modern human was transferred 2000 years from now in history?
What would happen without electricity for a year?

If you've wondered about these and and many other questions then you're in the right place.

What you are going to read is by no means scientifically accurate in every way or a complete truth, but it is one man's reflections on different topics with a pinch of creativity. A good part of the book is supported by various research, but a good portion is open to the imagination.

"I wrote this book, to share my view, which can be correct, it can be fictional and imaginable, but it is curious and explorational in many ways. That is the essence of writing - to explore your mind while bringing fiction closer to nonfiction." - Domagoj Pernar

The book consists of 18 chapters that are not connected subjectwise but are somehow connected in curiosity. Those chapters are structured to make you question your foundations of thinking and consider difficult subjects.

Domagoj Pernar is a writer, videographer, photographer, and IT manager by profession.
From his young days, he was interested in many different categories of prose and poetry. Later in life, he started researching philosophical theories and the potential for a dystopian end of society (perhaps that’s why he was born in 1984.) These interests in the philosophy, meaning of life, potential future developments of the world, and overall curiosity about today's (and past) society led to the creation of his first book called “Curious Matrix: Questions I Always Wanted to Ask”. The book that can be classified as semi-fiction and semi non-fiction.

After this project, he started regaining interest in poetry by re-reading legendary poets such as Keats, Neruda, and Whitman. This interest combined with new AI possibilities of OpenAI (ChatGPT & DALL-E) birthed his second book - The Life: Meaning, Purpose & Death. A book of poetry written by Hybrid Intelligence – The Symbiotic Relationship Between Human and Artificial Intelligence.

In addition, he created the photobook Curious Croatia: Places Through My Lenses, showcasing the beauty of various locations across Croatia.

Really liked the book as its well-written and not too long, but tackels some very interesting topics (some of whom I've thought about as well, but not in such depth).

FASCINATING FOOD FOR THOUGHT. This book reads as a collection of personal essays by an author expressing his views on several topical issues of our time. Partly evidence-based, partly speculative, his views seem reasonable and well-argued. But what is most interesting and valuable in this book is the fact that he is asking these questions - questions we should all be asking ourselves.
