The shift in perspective to Jeannette makes for an interesting change in the way the story is unfolding. It's a much more tragic tale from her perspective, and I think Athy doesn't always understand that, even as she's realizing that this is more than just a book she once read.
This one was rather medium paced and I was hoping all the time for an happy end for Athansia and it kinda happened only at the end of the 5th book which was rather disappointing. I also say kinda as the problem is still not solved and that makes me feel a bit uneased.
But except that the relationships with the characters were quite lovely again. Especially the difference between how Felix treats an intruder and Athanasia. He even made himself smaller so she feels more comfortable and not threatened which was so considerate of Felix!
The ‘sister's’ relationship was cute and I totally felt the nervousness of telling your sister that you are her actual sister. Jennette was so worried about Athansia and in the end was worried if Athanasia even liked her and her ‘father’ as they both never asked her any questions regarding her and that made Jennette feel like she is uninteresting.
And lastly, unfortunately the plot twists wasn't that shocking as I already predicted it while I read (I mean we got more than enough hints).
This book showed us mainly Jennette and how she feels about certain things and perceives the world. Felt really more out of her POV then from Athanasia what we usually get. Very interesting. Would like to see more of Jeanette!
Ho divorato l'intera serie in pochissime ore!
Guys, if the author went missing, don't blame me. I mean, how could she do this ?!!! How could the author not adding a FUCKING KISS ??!!!! I was excited from the beginning for the sex scene between Athanasia and whatever the black-haired guy name is, but there's nothing 💀. Not even a FUCKING KISS!!! 💀💀🔪🔪🔪🔪🔪 Anyways, thank goodness Claude is here. Who needs a male lead when u have a female lead hot father🔥🔥🔥 The way he was jealous on her that he even had her first dance 😭😭, while the male leads were standing speechless 😭💀💀.
i absolutely loved this. athanasia was executed by her father in her previous life and now that she's back, she's trying to find a way to survive. somehow, in this life, athanasia got closer to her coldblooded father and they actually develop a father-daughter relationship. it's heartwarming to see how protective he became.
i don't hate Jeannette but i don't like her. I know she always wanted father's love but girl, he isn't your father. and you are also disturbing athy and claude's relationship. the f-cking claude, why you needed to use black magic huh??? your doings are now reflecting over athy, i hate you. WHERE'S THIS LUCAS????? he disappeared when he was needed the most!!!
I read this series online and now need to collect the physical copies. I’m curious if the epilogue/side stories will ever come to be as the creator notes stated that they would but I haven’t seen anything.
As a review of the completed series and not just the one volume I think this sits as a 4.5 ⭐️ if I could give halves.
I enjoy the twists/explanations of reincarnation into a novel verses regression plot that’s more similar to something like Dr Elise.
This one was tagged as romance along with the childcare isekai trope but honestly any romantic storyline for the female protagonist is very secondary to the plot and I personally don’t feel is concretely settled at the end of the main story. As the main plot is that of the FL and her relationship with her father I don’t think we need a solid romance. In something like Father I don’t want this Marriage that is a very good balance between her romance arc and her father daughter relationship arc. While there are a lot of similarities in the father/daughter arc between the two stories, this one doesn’t put as much weight on the romance but then the majority of this story is told while she is in the body of her childhood self. It would be icky if there was more weight on the romance.
I’m not sure why there couldn’t have been a more concrete conclusion to the love triangle as the story definitely favours the one ML as the end game but alas we are left with a “who knows what the future will bring” scenario.
As for the father/daughter relationship I think the backstory/explanation for his cold behaviour that resulted in her death in the novel is well explained and a justifiable one as me the reader to accept why I forgive him in the current life as redeemable. I think others I’ve read have the FL forgiving the father (or other family member) too easily because it wasn’t “them” that was mistreated in the previous “life” when I’m left unsatisfied because it looks like the only reason they are liked and survive in this life is because of luck or they made theirselves interesting or useful when really the father is trash and should just live the kid regardless. Thankfully we get more in this one.
I do wish that we did get a bit more in character development from the father when the plot switches him from cold to caring. We get the why and even some of his awkwardness as he adjusts and while HE doesn’t know that his actions led to her death in the novel he could be a bit more remorseful about the first 5 years of her life in this life where he was nonexistent. Its still good though and worth the read
Kısaca her şey harika gidiyordu. 2.cilt bittiğinde çok iyiydim. Seriye başlamadan spoiler almış olduğum ClaudexDiana dinamiklerinden de ufak ufak parçalar alıyorduk.
DERKEN HER ŞEY MAHVOLDU!!

Seems like one step forward and three steps back. At least Claude no longer wants Athy dead, but his memories haven't resurfaced either and now it seems it may be far more serious than just amnesia and migraines. Then there's this other stranger they keep running into that reminds them of Claude and seems to have it out for Athy and Claude while encouraging Jeanette. Seems his Jeanette's true father, though no one is telling her or anyone else that, so she still is convinced Claude is her father and Athy her half-sister to complete the family she longs for. So how does that all work when Claude wants Jeanette around to relieve the pain from the migraines but can't stand being around Athy. Yet Athy is the acknowledges princess who resides at the palace and has now returned home and just wants her Daddy back, even if she keeps trying to remind herself the original goal was just to survive. Hopefully Lucas can help unravel things before they get even worse. As much as Claude definitely has always had a temper, he was also far more personable when he actually cared.

Loved this volume! There's just so much going on with all the characters however, I just absolutely do not like Jeanette at all. I just find her too naive and needy all the time and I understand that she just wanted her supposed family to acknowledge her but every single time she appears in this (which is a lot) I just find myself super annoyed. Athy could've just asked Ezekiel for help in the first place (because that's definitely what I would do haha) instead she goes to Jeanette who is so self absorbed that she only does things because it benefits her too. Hopefully they just give Jeanette's screentime to Ezekiel or Lucas haha.

Poor Athanasia has been forgotten by her beloved father, and is sneaking around with magic, hanging out with Jeannette, and generally at loose ends waiting for Lucas to return.
It was hilarious that she assumed Felix wouldn’t notice her invisibly following him - he may act bumbling and dense around her, but he IS the main guard of the emperor, so it stands to reason he is capable. They startled each other 🤭

Hier wird es noch mal richtig spannend. Echt empfehlenswert!
Spoiler!

Princess Athanasia continues to hide from the King who still has amnesia and wants to kill her.
This volume felt like filler to kill time so it dragged a bit. Very little has changed at the end of this 280 page book though the last few pages do show that things will be moving along in volume 6. The art was its usual beautiful colorful self.
This is such a cute story. There is a romance but I like that the story line is focused on the relationship between Athy and Claude. I love how cute the relationship is between the father and child. Athy is also smart, especially on how she use her knowledge about the story to her advantage.
