This book showed that not everything that glitters is gold if you will. Zari was so caught up in the unknown with her neighbor just because she thought he looked good that she almost missed out on what was right in front of her with Kenneth. It was understandable that she wanted to keep her options open but the fact that she was thinking about Kenneth while she was talking to her neighbor on the phone should have shown her something. I was happy that she figured out who was the better man for her in the end and the way in which she got her man was cute too. I enjoyed the book overall and thought it was a nice read to get you in the holiday mood.

That warm feeling....

Ms. Monae this is a wonderful book to finish the year strong. It reminds me of a warm chocolate chip cookie fresh out of the oven. You know it's going to gooey and satisfying. Kenneth and Kari were that type of couple. They found each other on a simple work assignment. The love bug bit, the chemistry was strong, present and the love flowed. Just a great love story with no unnecessary drama.

Ms. Monae you administered the plot perfectly. I loved the plot twist for Kari's options. It was presented so Kari knew where her heart belonged. You also made sure Kenneth 's option was a definite "no go" for him. She was the total opposite of his dream life partner.

This is a "feel good" Christmas story that just warms your heart and soul. You will fall in love with Kari and her friends. Speaking of her friends I am wondering are they going to appear in any future releases in 2022. I would love to see who Alyssa and Chelsea ends up with. Are Alyssa and Tre going to finally become an item? I think whomever Chelsea be with is going to have the ride of their life, she is the more fiesty friend. After all, I said, I highly suggest this book. It's a great way to get you into the holiday spirit.

It is full of relateable characters in a setting of friendships , family , support and love
It was great to see Zari and Kenneth love for each other unfolds and they find unexpected love in each other

This story dragged IMO. The whole will they, won't they got old pretty fast for me. I liked Kenneth but I wished he was more take charge when it came to Zari. But I guess it worked out for him cause he got his girl in the end.

Enjoyable.

I love a good Christmas read as it is my favorite time of the year. And every one knows small town loves are my thing. This reminded me of Hallmark Channel or Virgin River. Lol. Kenneth was refreshing to read about and he and Z had great chemistry and romance. Good read.

Zari is crushing hard in her neighbor, but as soon as it looks like there might be some movement on the date front, she gets a job and as a traveling nurse, she has to take it. She heads a few towns over to fill in for Christmas and meets the doctor on call. And things get complicated when they get snowed in together.

I don't usually like the love triangle dynamics but this story was still pretty good. It was written well and really gave me solid plot and the characters had layers. Zari was accomplished and wonderful, Kenneth was chivalrous and focused. It was a good combination. I was sad when she had to go home, and disappointed that she still moved forward with the neighbor even after that magic. But she got the message eventually. I was happy no one got hurt. Great holidays feels, lovely ending.

Queen Monae Nicole gave us an amazing Christmas insta-love story.
Dr. Bae aka Kenneth with his fine sexy self just swept Zari right off her feet. She was all for getting to know Christian until she got a taste-of Dr. Bae😜😆. I had a feeling Christian wasn't it, he was like that new thing we had to have and once we finally got it the thrill was gone, and was like "oh, that's it"😔. I'm glad she went and got her man and they had their HEA. Perfect ending💕

I loved Zari's energy, and the friendships with her girls. I was a bit wary of this crush on Christian she had, because at this point if no one has yet to make a move, this probably ain't it! Going on assignment, she meets and is instantly infatuated with Dr. Jamison (Kenneth). Things move quickly with them, and she really likes him, but feels guilt because of Christian. If you have a good man staring you in the face, that you have had time to spend with, and know how he makes you feel; Christian who? But, that's just me! 😂 Down and confused she goes home to see what she can make shake with Christian. NOTHING! Just a handsome face! That is it, that is all! Glad that she went to Kenneth and told him what she felt, as that was where she should have been all along. Cute Christmas read! 👍👍👍

Unexpected love...

Zari was a traveling nurse and during the Christmas holiday she was requested to work in another town. Just before she left her neighbor finally showed some interest. Arriving on her work assignment, Zari met the fine Dr. Ken she would be working with. When a storm hit, Zari and Ken are stuck together, feelings grow and so does Zari confusion about who to be with. When Zari returns home she finally decides who she wants. This was such a great read. I loved Dr. Ken for Zari, he was all she wanted and needed. Monae Nicole has me falling hard for her book baes!!!

Getting to Us

I knew I'd love Kenneth and Zari. Their overall vibe was chill and fulfilling.

I was curious where the whole situation with her neighbor, Christian, would lead to and I'm glad they didn't vibe. Kenneth was her person and that's that😏.

Kenneth was such a calm, humble man. I hate that women saw dollar signs when they saw him, given he was a doctor, yet I'm glad he and Zari crossed paths. Being in the medical field, they understood crazy schedules and long work days. I thought it would be him going after her, yet I'm not mad that she went to get her man.

I'm looking forward to Alyssa and Chelsea's stories.

Black love

Zari and Kenneth. I enjoyed this story about unexpected love. Zari had her sights set on someone else but when the opportunity arose, she saw that sometimes everything that glitters isn't gold. Kenneth was a black doctor trying to take care of his people/community and was fine and sexy while doing it, what's not to love? Add to the story great friends and black people thriving and you have a great read.

You Never Know What Your Travels May Find!

Monae Nicole, such a sweet read. It was so good to read about Zari and Kenneth. Both career minded people that had their heads on straight and knew what they wanted. Sari nor Kenneth knew what they needed until the other showed up. Finding a lot in common with each other they just filled a void they didn't know they needed.

A good gift

A slow-burn, inst-love that his hits all the right spots. Just like a welcome mug of hot chocolate with whipped cream/marshmallows being place in front of you when it's cold outside. It's exciting and enjoyable while it starts to warm you from the inside until you feel the heat! 💖

Perfect Christmas Love Story

Christmas is my favorite holiday! This was 100% Christmas without being cheesy. The way she wove the themes into the love story was very thoughtful. The love between Kenneth and Z was beautiful to watch, even though they both knew what they wanted from day one lol if you love holiday theme books and love stories, this is for you!!

You had me scared for a while. I thought Kenneth and Zari wouldn't make it, because her interest lied elsewhere. But that magnetic pull she and Kenneth had couldn't be denied.

I enjoy the characters and the storyline by Monae Nicole. I have read several of her books and they have been thought provoking with issues, I can relate to in my life. I love her writing style in which you feel part of the story.
