Deborah Wilde is a global wanderer and hopeless romantic. After twelve years as a screenwriter, she was also a total cynic with a broken edit button, so, she jumped ship, started writing funny, sexy, urban fantasy and paranormal women’s fiction books, and never looked back.

She loves writing smart, flawed, wisecracking women who can solve a mystery, kick supernatural butt, banter with hot men, and still make time for their best female friend, because those were the women she grew up around and admired. Granted, her grandmother never had to kill a demon at her weekly friend lunches, but Deborah is pretty sure she could have.

she/her

Smart (ass) heroines. Epic magic. Red-hot romance.

Hands down this is my favourite of the series so far. And no, that's not just because Nava and Rohan are together for the entiiiire book. Okay, maybe it's one of the reasons.

"I live to fuck with you."
"No, you live to fuck me."
"Don't pigeonhole me."

I swear, I truly don't know where Wilde comes up with this stuff. The bare bones of her Nava Katz series is so unique. She's created a world complete with a Jewish demon-fighting bro-club, named The Brotherhood natch, who are rocked by the introduction of Nava, the first and only female Rasha (demon fighter). Initiated in the place of her twin, the one they had all planned for, she's not only completely out of her depth but she's also completely unwanted by fellow fighters and the organization. Going from a laissez-faire lifestyle of screwing around and, well, screwing around, after an injury destroyed her tap-dancing career, to suddenly having responsibilities on the save-the-world scale, is a lot for Nava to take on. But she does. And in so doing she proves to most, though not all, that she's been chosen for a reason.

"You're a mess."
"No. I used to be a mess. A hot one, even, but I'm only lukewarm now."

Over the course of four books, Wilde has added so many additional layers to this story. Not only in the case of her increasingly creative and original brand of demons, but also in the politics, the secrets, and the layers in the characters themselves. The world is beautifully diverse, as it should be because so is ours, and slowly -- so slowly -- we're getting to the heart of these characters I so quickly came to love in book one. This one specifically gave us a lot of juicy information on Drio and honestly I never saw that coming. Nope, not once.

"Please eat real food. I honestly don't know how you're still alive."
"Preservatives, obviously. And quit being such a food snob. This is real. One hundred percent real maple syrup, because I am Canadian and civilized."
"Half-right."

I've said it all before but I'll say it again. Diversity, cleverness, demon ick factor, this author gives it all. Not to mention the crazy awesome fight sequences, scorchingly hot sex scenes, and the literally laugh-out-loud banter and quips. Wilde also weaves in these really beautiful emotional arcs. I don't know how she does it but every time, for every book, there seems to be a very present thread that somehow manages to tie so many elements together without overtaking the moments themselves and this one.. this one hurt. It was so well done, and so subtle, and I so appreciate not being hammered over the head with obvious plot or emotional payoff. It's so smart and so satisfying even as it crushes you.

"You're hooking into me, Sparky, and I want to be caught for a long, long time."

With so many fabulous supporting characters, and so much material in each book, and now four books in, there are a lot of loose ends still.. well, loose. Book three wrecked me with one couple, which remained unresolved for the duration of CRAVE, and now we have a third couple wreaking a bit of a warpath in book four. I love that I can be just as invested in these characters as our leads. Wilde makes them all so unique, all so special, and they really do make up the whole of the Nava Katz world. She isn't just the star of the show, dancing for an audience; they make up the whole of the troupe.

"Ha ha. Are we done taunting the vulnerable female now? Can we return to business as usual?"
"That is business as usual."
"Walked into that one, babyslay."

While I wouldn't call the ending of CRAVE a cliffhanger, it doesn't end in a way that makes this reader particular happy to have to wait for book five. But. But. The whole experience, the whole journey, the new reveals, the maturity and growth that Nava has fought for and still struggles with but nonetheless works so hard to maintain.. oh it was such a brilliant ride. I really did love every moment of this one. I have no complaints except that the next book isn't already on my kindle right now.

I salivated just thinking about their pesto pancetta slices. Yes, pancetta, my not-so-secret love. I was a bad Jew. Jew-ish.

If you want a hilarious, unique, deliciously hot, enticingly fresh, paranormal romance, with angst and drama and politics and thrills and danger and delight, you want to start this series. Now is a great time to do it because you can strap in and just binge these like whoa.

4.5 "he didn't complete me; he complemented me and that was a zillion times better" stars

If ever there was a time you asked yourself if there was a jewish superhero chick, congrats, I have the answer to that. There is and her name is Nava Katz. She's everything your good mother warned you about and more. And she's awesome.

Good girls might go to heaven, but this girl wants to have fun while she's here and if disturbing shit in a supernatural world, boning fellow Rasha/rock God, being BFFs with a half-demon and generally being a pain in the ass is considered bad, well, tough luck.

And did I say she is hilarious?

The marathon urination gave me a chance to catch up on the scrawled graffiti. In neat red ballpoint above the toilet paper holder, someone had written: You're a solid 8. Underneath that in pink glitter pen it read: Fuck that. I'm a 12 ½. A sentiment I applauded. Red pen then chimed back in with: Your ego certainly is. To which glitter had replied: All women are a 12 ½ out of 10. At least.
Black sharpie rounded out the exchange with : *fist pump* Sisterhood.
If I was going to be stuck in a cubicle peeing like a crazy person, it was nice to be in one with a compatible philosophic leaning and not "all girls be bitches."

The series doesn't seam to slow down even for a moment and at the end of this book I was already craving the next one. I'm not good with waiting, you see, not at all.

"This isn't the end of us," he said. "Just..."
I sniffled. "A break?"
A coffee break? A bone break? A heartbreak?

Note: This series needs to be read in order.

I’ve been enjoy the Nave Katz series. I’ve found the novels to be action-packed and entreating. The Unlikeable Demon Hunter: Crave uncovers some interesting things and digs into a mystery, but it also was lacking in character development and those action-packed scenes.

I had a difficult time getting into The Unlikeable Demon Hunter: Crave. Their where things I liked, but there where more things that just bothered me this go around.

Things I Liked:

• I like the covers for this series and the titles for the books. They fit each novel perfectly.

• I enjoyed the mystery of this new drug thats hit the streets. It’s not a normal drug and it affects people differently.

• Things are revealed in many areas. Personal, the Witches, the Brotherhood, Demons, and more.

• I was very happy to see Nava making friends with those in her Brotherhood house.

What Bothered Me:

• Nava has grown a little, but not as much as she should have. She’s not so wild and out of control as she has been, but she still is not thinking through her actions.

• I’m also disappointed in the lack of training for Nave. She’s in the Brotherhood, but she still doesn’t have the training that all the boys have. They started as kids learning and fighting and well Nava didn’t have that. She needs to study and train, yet she’s not.

• We get progress in finding out who is binding demons, but in this area when Nava learns something she goes to either the Witches, Demons, or the Brotherhood, the ones who know what she is doing, and she tells them that information, which then stirs up a hornets nest. She doesn’t ask discrete questions or investigate well. What she does is get everyone ruffled up.

• And, her relationship. It’s been an on again off again thing. Nava and Rohan are in a good place at the start, but at the end it’s off again. I’m so over this up and down romance. I'm also disappointed that Rohan doesn’t share his personal life aka his history with Nava. He knows everything about her, yet she still doesn't know things about him that she should. I'm also upset with Nava; because of a choice she makes at the end which she knows won't end well for her and it doesn't. Now, I will say that their sexy time is sexy, but I did have an issue with the author trying to progress their relationship with them have sex without a condom. I didn't have an issue with the no condom. My issue is I didn't feel that they where ready for that step in their relationship.

The Unlikeable Demon Hunter: Crave was just ok. The story was slow throughout and it left me with with more questions by the end about the Brotherhood, the Witches, and the Demons as well as feeling sad about Nava and Rohan’s relationship. I’m at a point where I’m not sure if I want to continue with the Nava Katz series. Their was just to much that bothered me this time around.

Ahhhh ... blissfully happy. Not going to say much about this one, besides that this series is getting better and better.

The fourth book of this series and I am finally getting what I craved for the last books. Character development. This alone would make this book a winner for me - I am such a sucker for good character building.

And not only that - I also got more from my favourite asshole in this series - Drio. His story was a bit too predictable but, oh well, I take it. I would have liked even more interaction between him and Leo.

Even Rogan is growing on me, the hardships he is put through in the end of the book and his behaviour towards Nava were a good Development for him in my opinion.

The story had some really interesting new demons, that I enjoyed reading about - and a development I think everyone knew from the beginning, regarding Nava.

That ending was a mean cliffy that has me craving for the next book.

Best in the series so far. The dialogue is effortlessly witty, Drio is quickly becoming my fav character, and Nava is finally getting some of her shit together.

My magic slid through my veins, whispering sweet nothings like eviscerate her.

Ro and her are so sweet. Him wearing her graphic T's and playing guitar to her tap dancing 💕

"Harley Quinn hates batman," he finally said. My boyfriend stepped back like I might infect him. "We're roleplaying fanfic? It's not canon. It's wrong. I mean, it's really wrong."

Lol such a closet nerd I love it 🥰

Nava is starting to focus on who is behind the attempt to bind demons to control them and why. The investigation continues and it has put a big target on Nava's back. There is also someone selling a demonically inspired drug on the streets that has a devastating impact on certain individuals.

Alright, so I was feeling a little "meh" after the last book, but I seem to have gotten over it and realized there are a lot of things I like about this series. It is pretty funny at times and I love when there is some humor sprinkled into my fantasies. Nava is mostly the source of that humor and there are other aspects of her personality that check boxes on my list of favorite heroines. She's sassy, she's powerful, she's stubborn, she's 100% in charge of her sexuality and she doesn't take crap from anyone. However, sometimes she's a bit annoying, especially with regard to her ups and downs with Rohan. That boy can sure deliver some orgasms, but there is something about him that keeps him from being a favorite of mine. I'll keep reading until I can put my finger on what it is.

I've been putting off reading this one for as long as I could (which was not long at all, really), because I knew that once I delved in, the book would be gone in a second. But even despite how exited I was for it, it took me some time to get into the story. I had to really push through in the beginning, but it was 100% worth it.
“It was fragile and intense and perfect.
And for the moment, it was mine.”

The book was everything I hoped it would be. There were moments that would make me laugh hysterically or grinning like a fool, but there were also intense moments, and tender moments that made your heart ache. And that ending... Damn, that was some heavy shit right there.

“That was… almost too much and not nearly enough.”

I wanted more progress on the Brotherhood thing, which is why the drug investigation just irritated me. It felt like the whole thing was in the way of more serious problems. But we also got to learn some really unexpected and interesting facts, so I'm not going to complain...that much.
But all in all, I loved this book. I'm glad that I made it last as long as I could (all of two days!) and now I'm ready to be gifted the next book ahead of schedule. (It was worth a try)

I received this book for free from Publisher in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.I was quite glad that most of the book did not focus on relationship drama in this edition of the Unlikeable Demon Hunter. We were able to focus mainly on the demon case to be worked as well as the outstanding case of who is binding demons.

Nava and Rohan continue to look into the demon binding, trying to sort out if it is the witches or the Brotherhood that is doing it. Nava braves contact with demons that could be the very death of her to try and get information. She plays things really risky and not always to Rohan's liking. We learn some interesting things about Nava. However, once again, Nava drops down the rabbit hole with her decisions and leaves me shaking my head. I have to remember that she is young and she is doing what she thinks is the best for her or the people she loves. She just obviously does not think her actions through which can be very frustrating. When it seems we are supposed to feel bad for Nava, I just couldn't bring myself to, as she just brought it all on herself knowing that she is doing stuff she shouldn't.

I thought the Candyman story line was pretty interesting. It was really original. I was also really surprised by the bombshell about Nava. Those moments really kept me involved in the story. It wasn't until Nava really goes into tstl mode that I got frustrated. Luckily it was the end of the book. The ending left me wanting to shake Nava and tell her it's all her own fault. I just don't feel bad for her.

I will continue to listen as I really want to see what happens with the witches and the Brotherhood. The next installment is probably going to be full of relationship drama, but hopefully we'll get enough of the demon hunting cases that it will be worth the listen. It is sad that I don't really like the main character much, but the side characters make it worth it. I do enjoy them. I'm also really interested in the new abilities that Nava has. I'm hoping that she'll use them wisely. This review was originally posted on Rantings of a Reading Addict

Review - Nava Katz Series

Quick Sitch: Nava Katz finds out that she's a female demon hunter, and that's a problem. Mostly because misogyny and there's never been one before and no one knows how to deal with it. The story builds as Nava comes into her own and learns that there are certain players out there actively working their way towards an apocalypse and she's got to stop it. All while falling in love with Rohan Mitra, a former rock god turned demon hunter. Romance and apocalypses go together, like peas and bicycles. Whatever, it works, just go with it.

Overview: I'm digging Deborah Wilde's writing, and while the three series that I've read (yes, three in a row because when I obsess I OBSESS), have their similarities - paranormal stories with Jewish heroines and diverse characters set in Vancouver - I do love that each has their own spin and ythe heroines are at different stages in life. Nava's the youngest and most immature but also the one who goes through it in terms of the way she's treated by every misogynist in the Brasha organizations and basically everyone thinking that she's a twit, until they learn differently. The story goes to some fantastically weird places, and it stretches the bounds, for sure, but I still enjoyed most of it. My struggle was with some of the humor (some lands, some doesn't) and

Book 1: The intro is good, kept me interested, and her Pretty Woman-esque take on sex was a thing. I appreciate that she owned her sexuality and wasn't about to be shamed. I liked it but I'm never a fan of naming genitalia. Just not my bag.

Book 2 (Sting): Dives further into actual demon hunting, introduces some key players to the overarching storyline. There's some OW/OM contact, but in the context of this series, didn't bother me and was actually that kind of emotional push/pull that surprised me because of how much I enjoyed it.

Book 3 (Need): This one introduces Malik and I wasn't mad about it at all. The danger ratchets up even more and the blurring of lines, plus some emotional payoff for the romance.

Book 4 (Crave): The one where the story starts to go off on a tangent, and it definitely felt like the need to mess with Rohan and Nava was more plot point driven than not. Feels like the overarching storyline gets bigger but the small moments could have used more time to really make you care for all these characters in a way that can impact any big conflicts that are coming up. I liked them all, but I really felt the narrowness of of that first person POV holding things back.

Book 5 (Fall): The penultimate episode in this Buffy-esque takeoff and for sure I felt that Season 6-7 fatigue at this point. It's all danger but the need to pull back kind of kills the momentum a wee bit. And that final battle? Kookydukes.

Book 6 (Burn): The finale that had ALOT of ground to cover and it felt like it. It continues that feeling of nothing but danger everywhere you turn but a lack of commitment to it that takes it down a notch. Now, I'm a romance centered reader at heart, so I didn't mind that alot of this is about pairing up the couples that you felt connecting in the background of Nava and Rohan's lives. I just wish I could have seen more of it. And the Deus Ex Machina vibe to the ultimate resolution was an "well...*blinks* alrighty then" kind of moment. I mean, look I'm all for suspension of disbelief. I LOVE the OTT moments I am right there willing to buy into what you're selling....I just wish the pitch was a little more solid.

Bottom Line: In the end I liked this, even though some of the humor didn't work for me, but I do think it's something that is more for fans of UF-PNR who prefer it a little danger but mostly safe when all is said and done.

And that's all I got.

I enjoyed Crave. It has all the fun, action and imagination we got used to from the series.

It's well written, has some pretty witty dialogues. Just like the previous books.

The world building is still intriguing and I love the new details Wilde is adding in each book.

The character building. Is okay. There are characters I grew to love and care for. I love seeing them grow and interact with each other. Well, if we talking character growth, I need to mention that it is rather a slow progress. Frankly, sometimes I find myself exasperated by the slowness. On quite a few occasions I wanted to shake- or preferably shank- several of the characters...

So while I liked this, it also took me ages to get into it. It was somewhat too similar in pace and story line MO to the other three books in the series. Yet I would have chalked it off to the fact that I had a hectic week and I was having really little time to read or get into any book, except for the romance. See the on and off between Nava and Rohan was grating on me in the last book. But the ending, kinda made it okay. Well, let's just say the ending of Carve really really doesn't. I just wanted to throw my kindle at that point. I mean, WTH?! why???

And saying that, obviously going to read the next installment. Though gotta say these two better freakn get their act together because I am at my last tether!

One step forward two steps back

I really was looking forward to this book. I was disappointed. I was hoping finally we would have some really witty great character growth Nava and instead she went back to party mode chick from the first book and Roh was a lap dog. Things that bother me the most 1) the background Information was so long and I wanted to ask the author she thought I suddenly forgot the first three books. I realized at the end she indeed did because she ask me to read the first one.2) The bondage scene was weak, No way would Nava would be Harley. I know very little of this world however I surrounded by people who are into this stuff and the first five minutes with them I learn to quick things Harley is abused soul and is broken. I guess the author was going for marketing. However the Nava with a quick googled search would have know cat woman was who she should be, and I was disappointed when she spent all that time talking to Claire about bondage but could not spare 5 min Google search. 3) I felt the whole lithe taken over body was weird. I read other stories where it happen and it was better. I think for me was how would Nava be so clueless that she think Roh would not notice. I would expect that in book one but this the fourth. I hope this is a fluke and the next one will be back one course.

Holy shit that was intense.

I love Nava's world. She's such a kick ass person. Her and Ro's relationship is so hot. I so want Nava oral sex . XP. I LOVE the snark and banter between characters. Oh I'd recommend reading the short story Seize http://www.deborahwilde.com/books/ before reading this one just for plot development. You almost broke my heart Deborah but I forgive you.

oh... I think this is my fav so far, although there was not enough Ari and Kane in here. Drio broke my heart and now I hope they can work this out. I truly enjoyed the development of Nava and Rohan's relationship, and the end of the book broke my heart, but I feel it was a fantastic way to set up the ground for more books and also give time for their issues to come up.
The whole witch/Rasha/demon magic is really interesting and my head is spinning with all the possibilities based on what we learn.
I can't wait for more books!!!!

ARG! Seriously? I had hoped the drama would be over by now, but guess not...

I am glad that many of the ARCs moved forward, even if it was done in a messy way, and this series is starting to do the thing I hate most in stories: drama because of bad communication.

Oh well. The rest of the story was ok, and I'm still interested enough to want to read on. Only 2 more books in the series, so it won't get rid of me this easy!

So, now that Rohan and Nava are back together, and kissing (wtg, Navela), things seem to be flowing wonderfully. They settle into being together and seem to have a lot of fun. They hunt together, and as things unfold and information is revealed, the dynamics between them changes, as well.

Trying to find the distributor for a harmful drug that in some cases causes horrible deaths, and they find out the “bad guy” in this one is called Candyman. During their hunt Nava’s life reach some peaks; Her relationship with her mother changes drastically, she gets to meet Rohan’s family (oooooohhhh) and she is forced to make questionable deals with demons and witches she probably shouldn’t make.

Nava passively aggressively confronts her mother, but in fact this is a good thing because it forces her to pour her heart out, all of her frustrations and it gives her mother the opportunity to set things straight.

All of that and some more shenanigans happen while the underlying goal is them figuring out why things are so sketchy with the Brotherhood, who is responsible within the Brotherhood for the Rasha deaths, why the head honcho in Jerusalem has such animosity towards Nava, and where Dr. Gelman has disappeared to.

There’s one more thing happening in Nava’s life that I’m not going to spoil. You’ll have to read it to find out.

On another front, Leonie and Drio are going strong, and Nava keeps bugging Leonie to either break up with Drio or be upfront with him and tell him what she is. Naturally and as can be expected, that doesn’t fly with Leo. Ari and Kane keep up with their distant and cold shoulder attraction. Since they’re not a focus in the story, I’m managing without frustration. For now. LOL

There’s so much happening in this book, that I just can’t put it all into words in a way that won’t ruin it for you guys, so just read it.

I got this as an ARC for my honest review I have read all three of the other books and being that I got this as an ARC I am going to have a more detailed review compared to my normal reviews. My review and stars have nothing to do with the ARC. I hate spoilers so there will not be any in this book, however, having read the last three I can tell you that you will not be disappointed with this book. If you have not read the other three books I suggest getting those before this or you will be lost

This book starts off where the last one ended Nava and Ro are settling into their relationship and trying to uncover the mystery of the Brotherhood and the demons they believe they have made or bound. All of our favorites are back Leo, Ari, Kane ect. We also get more information about the witches and how they play into not only the current stories about how the Brotherhood really came about. I do not want to give any spoilers but we do get some information about Nava and how she is able to be a member of the brotherhood, I did not really find the reasoning behind her powers surprising but was happy to find that I was right. I thought she made some not so wonderful choices in this book I understand her choices where to save those she loves, however, I think she had a touch to much anguish and worrying I wanted more butt-kicking female lead like we have seen in the other books while I still loved Nava in this book there was more emotional conflict that leads to more bad choices than good in the long run.

We get to see more into Nava's family life in this book and her relationship with her parents and her issues resulting from these that help give a better understanding of some of her insecurities. Ari and Kane are away on assignment so we get some interaction but not much with them, I would like to see a side story about these two and how they progress outside of the main books, like the POV we get from Ro and Drio in the past in Crush and Slay. We also get Leo and Drio in this book as we all know Drio has no idea about Leo half-demon status you have to read this book to see how this progresses but it is an interesting twist on the story that is wonderful and heartbreaking. We also see Drio and Nava becoming not friends, but comrades if this will continue? I hope so, however, they have new issues to work out at the end of this book, but I am rooting for this friendship. We get more backstory of Drio and I hope he gets an HEA the poor man deserves it. Nava will do anything for those she sees as family and friends to the point of causing issues in her relationships, in some cases I understood where the author is going with this mindset but I really hope in the next book that we get more confidence and communication between Nava and those she cares about it seems that communication would have fixed a few of the issue between her and her family and friends.

Nava is unsure of herself and her relationship in this book and really worries about her and Ro though most of the book and how she cannot be what Lily was even though that is not what Ro was looking for he wanted Nava. Her insecurity about this relationship really helped you to relate to her as a character, we have all had that relationship where we think that the relationship is doomed, however I thought it got to be a bit much in this book, I think that they could not have had so much emotional baggage and still have a good story. A large part of these books is her feelings and connection with Ro and there are enough other storyline and mystery to keep this book going without having to have them so insecure, however, in the end, her insecurities cause discord not only between her and Ro but her and the rest of her team. I found where they were at the end of the story heartbreaking but I can also see where the author is going with their relationship in the next book hopefully and how they may fulfill a prophecy. I really hope that this relationship is out back to right and is resolved in the next book because outside of the mystery of the brotherhood the main reason I love these books is this relationship between Nava and Ro.

This story is fun and a wonderful read I read it in one night I had to finish the book and while it leaves on a cliffhanger I hope we do not have to wait too long for the next one. I have this author on my Amazon watch list and my Goodreads list and plan on keeping her there. I hope the next book is not too long because I need to know what happens. Deborah Wilde did an amazing job on this book.

Title: The unlikeable Demon Hunter: Crave

Author: Deborah Wilde

Genre: Urban Fantasy

Blurb: What doesn’t kill you...

seriously messes with your love life.

Nava is happily settling into her new relationship and life is all giddy joy and stolen kisses.

Except when it’s assassins. Talk about a mood killer.

She and Rohan are tracking the unlikely partnership between the Brotherhood and a witch who can bind demons, but every new piece of the puzzle is leaving them with more questions than answers.

And someone doesn’t appreciate them getting close to the truth.

Go figure.

On top of that, a demon known only as Candyman has unleashed a drug that’s harming users in extremely disturbing ways.

After a friend of Nava’s is hurt, she vows to take this demon down. But will life as she knows it survive this mission, or will this be the one time she should have looked before she leapt?

Happily-ever-after: barring death, she’s got a real shot at it.

Excerpt: “I love home delivery.” Malik lounged in his doorway, eyeing me the way the wolf must have with the three little pigs. His British accent was pure sin.

“I love your arrogance that you didn’t bother moving after I almost killed you.”

He laughed, flashing straight white teeth against his bronze skin. He was still the only being I’d ever met who could pull off a Caesar cut, and was still the stuff of billionaire romance cover fantasies in his soft gray trousers that were artfully tailored to the hard lines of his body and navy shirt, carelessly folded back at the cuffs. “Oh, petal. I’d say I missed you, but I didn’t. Now, unless you brought the more interesting twin?” He peered into the hallway. “No?”

He shut the door, but I stuffed my foot in to block it. Not like he politely stopped trying to close it. “Ow.” I pushed my shoulder into the door to keep my poor bones from breaking. “If you weren’t wondering why I was here, you wouldn’t have let security buzz me up or let my toes cross the wards I’m sure you’ve got strung across this door.”

“Ten seconds.”

“That’s not–”

“Five, four…”

“Demons are being bound.” I rushed my words as he made a buzzing noise.

Malik yanked me inside by my collar and slammed the door.

I wrenched free.

His penthouse apartment hadn’t changed. Still to-die-for sweeping views of the city, a massive glass wine storage unit in the open concept space, and a loft bedroom. He pointed at one of the leather sofas, custom made to hug the curved walls. “Sit and talk.”

Review: I am going to give this novel 4.5 stars. I absolutely love all the characters that have been developed. I’m always a sucker for a strong, sarcastic female character and a handsome, strong sidekick. Then there is their friends and brothers.

With a drug going around that is made from magic, both demon and witch, they have their hands full figuring out who is making this new drug and why. On top of that they havej figured out that the Brotherhood, the group they are working for, has been lying to them

The relationship between Nova and Rohan goes through one tempestuous battle after another, and a birthday party of doom.

Each one of the members of their family goes through hard times and betrayal. I absolutely loved all the battle scenes and how quickly I was brought into the story. You feel like you are standing right there with them, feeling their heartache, lust, and hatred. The demons were different from the typical demon, and each character has a different type of ability.

I would highly recommend the series to anyone that enjoys some lovely heat mixed in with their action.

The Unlikeable Demon Hunter: Sting #2 - Babyslay vs. psycho spawns. I missed the first book, how sad! Not reading book one did not take anything away from book two. She's an abrasive, smart mouth with an over-sex-drive, which is OK, because she can kick butt. I love the way Rohan trains her as she's fighting for her life. Ms. Wilde is a wonderful author: her colorful descriptions; the humor; a reasonable amount of vulgar language. It's true that not all real people use vl, much less curse. The action, fast pace, humorous plot along with the good descriptions holds the reader in a tight grip. After the first sex scene, the story kicked into overdrive. There's sex, but don't let that stop you from reading this entertaining book. All sex scenes boremeoutofmyeverlovingmind, I'm not a prude. Paperback. 5*

The Unlikeable Demon Hunter: Need #3- More Babyslay. More of the well written series, with the humor, the colorful descriptions and twisting plot that makes Need almost as interesting as Sting. The action and romances continue and it's hard to put the book down. The vulgar language is kept to a reasonable level and the sex scenes still boremetodeath (not just this author's, all authors). I contacted the author to review this book after reading Sting. 5*

The Unlikeable Demon Hunter: Crave #4 – Another well written, action-packed, fast-paced, intrigue filled book. This must the best so far with the well thought out plot of nonstop twists and turns and surprises that keeps the reader glued to the pages. The characters show growth and even the minor characters have enough to them to keep the reader interested. The vulgar language is actually toned down quite a bit and there’s plenty of graphic sex – skip them if GS is not your cuppa, I find all GS boring. While not a cliffhanger, there’s more coming. Ms. Wilde does an excellent job with her descriptions. 4*

The Unlikeable Demon Hunter: Fall #5 - I did have a problem with the chapters about the Pride parade. I'm not sure if I was getting a lecture or Pride forced down my throat, but I got bored quick with much of the information that didn't matter; clothing, repetition, etc. (You don't know me so don't think I dislike gays; boring is boring regardless of subject matter.) I love this series but this book didn't have the magic like the previous books did. Maybe it was too much unimportant information (or filler is the impression I sometimes received) and not the usual fast paced intrigue that this series has in bunches. The book is still good but I had to work at reading it over several days; either too wordy or sometimes I was just confused. I usually finish one of Ms. Wilde's book in one day; you can't put them down, they're so entertaining and addicting. Still, I'm looking forward to the next book. 4*

To all authors: I find pages of "praise" in any book annoying when I'd rather see the list of books by an author and then the story. I don't give a rat's toenail about other people's opinions and I dislike hunting for information and the start of the story; plus everyone has a smartphone that they can look up reviews. In the days of paperbacks, I wouldn't buy a book because of the pages of reviews unless it was one of my authors and then I didn't open the book till I got home.

Things are settling down at Demon Club or are they? There might be more to Nava being the first femal Rasha and relationships are blowing up everywhere.

Nava and her twin, Ari, are about to celebrate their twenty-first birthday. Nava would just like a simply night out with her boyfriend. Is it too much to ask for a quiet night out dancing and drinking and getting into this whole “we are a couple” thing?

But a night on the town gives the Brotherhood’s newest girlfriend/boyfriend Rasha team a new case. An old high school acquaintence of Nava’s goes bizerk after taking a hit of something called “Sweet Tooth.” A new designer drug to hit the club scene usually isn’t something that usually calls for Rasha intervension, but it appears that this drug is using demon secretions as its base and causing people with addictive personalities to go psychotic.

Nava and Rohan are on the trail of a demon calling himself the Candyman who is leaving a trail of destruction in his wake. Nava is not only concerned for her friend, but then Nava comes to the realization that Rohan also shows the traits of addiction (first his music, then the Brotherhood, and now maybe, her?). She has to convince her Alpha Male boyfriend that he needs to allow her to handle this demon on her own since any contact with its secretions can cause Rohan to go off the deep end. It’s bad enough when a regular human loses control, but someone with Rohan’s training and abilities losing control can be deadly to everyone around him. That’s not something he would be able to forgive himself for.

In between battling secretion throwing demons, Nava is also trying to investigate who is controlling demons; is it someone in Camp Witch or Camp Rasha? And neither camp is excited to find Nava sticking her nose into their business.

Nava’s 21st birthdayalso brings some revelations and changes to the series, and not all of them are for the better. One of them will change Nava’s standing in the Brotherhood, which was not all that stable to begin with and others involved her relationships with the Brothers, Rohan and her BFF (half-goblin) Leo. I had hoped that officially declaring Rohan and Nava as boyfriend/girlfriend would end all the high school romance drama on this series but it seems Nava can’t stop overthinking everything. And it isn’t just Nava, her brother Ari and his BFF can’t seem to make the jump and commitment into a relationship either.

I like the cast of characters and the world building in this series. Self-confident Nava rocks, but the High School romance drama is the only real downside of this series.

Received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review.

Kindle Unlimited, thought before that was good follow ups to #1 and #2, but even with those and 1.5 and 2.5, but kept noticing things, over and over and over, and would go back and double check for the other books/novellas but no use since the words/descriptions used in book can NOT be quoted in amazon book review because of TOS restrictions. About 1/3 of the book is about things that would be more 'fit' to be in Genesis {the magazine, not the Bible one} or some other 'gentlemans' magazine. Don't have any reaction to 'gay' characters, just think it's highly unlikely that there is going to be one or more couples that swing that way in a rather small circle of friends, aquaintances, etc. All those issues in addition to what some might be against, regarding 'language', orientation, etc. When *I* notice it's too much, it's WAY TOO MUCH. Just with Buffy, it's pretty much all been done, before, but without as much 'situations', considering I cuss like a sailor, again, when I notice, it's way too much.

Nava finally has her own mission yay!!! :D
When a night out results in a frenemy being possessed by demonic energy, Nava and Rohan need to find out where the Sweet Tooth drug comes from, who makes it and how it can contain demonic energy. At the same time their investigation into the Brotherhood dealings is getting heated: while they are bringing more fellow Rasha's in on the team and slowly but surely gathering clues... they are being watched and the opposition isn't happy... at all.
Dealing with pissed off demons, witches and their own budding relationship... what can go wrong?

My take on the book:
Where to begin! It seems as though every book sucks me in more and more. I love the gang but seriously... I just love Nava most of all, her snarky humor, her insecurities, her stubbornness to do everything she can for the people she loves and the way she kicks some serious demon ass :D
When reading the story its like you're there, living it along side them. Love it!
This book truly felt like a rollercoaster. The drug mission, finding out what the Brotherhood is up to with the binding of demons and the way Nava and Rohan come together.
I rly rly rly need the next book like... yesterday!

The book was excellently written and I didn't find any errors. The flow was great with enough brakes between the action to allow for breathing.
Character development was good, some big mysteries/histories were revealed and we know our gang a tad better now. Seeing the couples have some time off and relax with each other was nice to see, revealing a totally different side (especially for Drio!).
There was a fair amount of sex involved, though not very graphic (except maybe for one bondage scene. So if that's important for you.. you should be good to go).
I voluntarily read an advanced reader copy of this book and to be totally honest, it was a few evenings very well spent. Laughing, face palming, cheering, cringing and crying... we had it all.

All in all, another great book in the Nava Katz series, it feels a bit different because of the romances going on (and you get seriously emotionally invested)... but boy does it deliver on all fronts! Go read it now! :)

Nava’s got her guy, she’s leading her own mission and things with Ari are settling in. Things are going great; until they’re not.

Unless you’ve just jumped into the series with ‘Crave’ (which I’m really hoping you haven’t) then you should pretty much know what to expect already; writing wise that is. Deborah really knows how to paint a picture with words, and her books are anything but predictable. Each book builds on the last and leaves us wanting more. The overarching plot is still going strong and much like Nava, we’re learning as we go. If you’re anything like me, you’re really invested in the characters now and will be hoping that book five isn’t far off. This series is good, but I think it’s the characters and the unusual situations they find themselves in that keep me coming back. Nava and Rohan are a super cute (and super hot) couple too. Read the sample to see a good example of just how cute they are. They get one another and it makes them even more adorable. Watching them play off of one another is one of my favourite things. I’m really hopeful for their future. Unfortunately for us, and her, Nava really is her own worst enemy and she’ll have you wanting to shake some sense into her; if only that were possible. I really feel for our ‘unlikeable’ girl - who is totally loveable if you ask me. Be warned though, the ending of ‘Crave’ will leave you wanting to get your hands on the next book as soon as possible. Bring on book five! And book 4.5 if we’re lucky. ;)
