This is a bilingual edition of a (small) selection from Hyginus' rarely-translated Fabulae (Fables). It's one of those word-for-word translations so you can figure out how to use the words by reading. It's all right for what it is. The selected stories are interesting, mostly rehashed version of famous stories, though rehashed centuries ago. The book has a number of misspellings, especially toward the end, as if the editor got sleepy halfway through. Still, the Fabulae are a hard to find text, so it was interesting to get a taste of it before I track down the complete thing.

A novel (but I'd say helpful and useful) take on the Latin "reader." I have been working through tiered volumes, as well as the more standard "Latin on the left/English on the right) but the interlinear approach has the advantage of making you that much more comfortable with word order while expanding vocabulary. Seems like a worthwhile "innovation" to me!
