Jenn Walker has been the recipient of mistaken identity for a number of years now. There is another Jennifer Walker in the world who has just about the same email address as Jenn. However, the other Jennifer Walker is well known in social circles that Jenn can only dream of being a part of. She also has an amazing career in marketing that Jenn would love to have.
After years of receiving communication for Jennifer, despite Jenn’s best efforts to let her know about all of them, Jenn decides to respond to one. She is desperate for a career change and when a dream job comes through her inbox she decides to show up and see if it is what she has been looking for. She will make sure they know although she shares the same name, she isn’t the one they were initially trying to contact.
You know what they say about best laid plans… It turns out the guy interviewing her is one she recently crossed paths with in a bar he owns. Austin Banks owns a very successful bar with his best friends but is wanting to branch out into the exclusive spa business. He needs a marketing whiz to help him launch and Jennifer came highly recommended. He will do anything he can to convince her to sign a contract with him. Bonus is that he remembers meeting her at Mavericks and has often found his mind wandering back to her since then.
Jenn gets completely caught up in the whirlwind that is Austin, before she knows it she has signed a contract and is working for him. To be fair, on several occasions she tries to tell him she isn’t ‘the’ Jennifer Walker and other times she chickens out. She is fantastic at her job though and saves the day several times. Austin is in complete awe of her and falling a little in love too. The lines between professional and personal soon blur and Jenn finds herself in a bit of a conundrum…
Austin is everything Jenn could have dreamt of having in a partner. He is kind, thoughtful and so damn good looking. The guilt begins to weigh on her, especially because she knows he has huge issues with trust from a previous relationship. If she comes clean she risks losing him and if she doesn’t tell him she risks even more…
Lila Monroe is great at bringing light hearted, low angst stories to life. These are great mood reading books for me, when I’m not sure what I feel like reading I know that her stories will always give me the reading enjoyment I’m looking for.

Baller Boss is the nineth book in the Billionaire Bachelors series but it could be read as a standalone.
It is a really good read that flies along as I expected from a Lila Monroe story.
What do you do if you mistakingly get a job offer destined to someone else?
Our heroine, Jenn Walker, was miserable after she lost her job until she got an amazing job offer she couldn't refuse. When she realise the job was for her more glamourous namesake she decides to live a little and she doesn't tell her charming boss the truth.
I've enjoyed to follow Jenn during this journey, she is funny and adventurous after all. I'm enamoured of Austin down-to-earth personality, even if he is a retired baseball player he is never bossy, or all Alpha man.
This is a couple I'd like to meet in real life because they put a big smile on my face.

Thanks to his pro baseball career, he knows just what it takes to make a successful spa that will attract men from the athletic fitness standpoint.
Jennifer Walker hates her dead-end marketing job, but she hates even more getting fired from said job for turning down the advances of a client. (Okay, there may have been some punching involved.) Now blackballed from her profession, she jumps at the chance for an interview when a recruiter calls her. The only problem is, the recruiter thought she was calling a different Jennifer Walker. The social media famous and marketer extraordinaire Jennifer Walker.
Austin, however, has charm for days and can be very persuasive. And he wants the Jennifer Walker in front of him to be Vital Spa's new marketing director. In her defense, Jenn takes to the job like a duck to water, and she quickly becomes indispensable to the spa and to Austin, personally.
This is the kind of romcom I adore – lots of laughs, some outrageous shenanigans, a nice dose of steam, and tons of feels. While I was a little disappointed in Austin, Mr. Trust His Gut, when the mix-up is revealed, the ensuing broken-hearted angst wouldn’t have happened, and then all that awesome, sweet making up wouldn’t have been necessary. All in all, a delightful, delicious story I couldn’t put down that left me with a satisfied smile. I really love these guys and andir gals, and I can’t wait for the next book in the series. Looks like our boy Seb has met his match, and I’m gleefully rubbing my hands together in anticipation of his fall. While we’re waiting for that, check out Austin and Jenn's romance, and prepare to fall head over heels for them!

A mistaken identity, workplace romance, Baller Boss by Lila Monroe was a quick, devour-it-in-a-day pleasure read. Lila, best known for being the queen of the romcom, dished up a light-hearted sexy romance that was heavy on the comedy, high on the heat and an absolute pleasure to read.
Austin, a billionaire former professional athlete turned businessman, is looking to get his latest business venture off the ground, and he needs a marketing whiz. The recruiter he hired to help him fill this position knows just the person—Jennifer Walker, social media darling and marketing genius. The only problem is that the recruiter reached out to the wrong Jennifer Walker. Currently blacklisted in her field, Jennifer gets a call from a recruiter for the job of a lifetime. Realizing that she wasn’t the person they thought she was, she still can’t help but want this job. From their first meet-cute to all their witty back and forth bantering and their off-the-charts chemistry, Austin and Jenn’s relationship sizzled. In the back of her mind, though, Jenn can’t help but wonder how Austin will react when the truth comes out.
Baller Boss was such an easy-to-read, entertaining story and one of my favorites of the Billionaire Bachelors series. Plenty of endearing side characters, a sweet and sexy romance, and one of Lila’s amusing trope-tastic storylines, this was a very cute and charming romcom that kept a smile on my face the whole way through. 5 star Review of Baller Boss (Billionaire’s Bachelors #9) by Lila Monroe
Baller Boss is a great example of romantic comedy, it is full of witty banter,romance and steam. I fell hard and fast for Austin Banks, he is swoon worthy and a player, with heart. I was intrigued when I read the blurb for this book. A case of mistaken identity sets in motion a series of events that were entertaining to watch as the story unfolded.
Jennifer (Jenn) is offered a job and she accepts, even knowing it wasn’t meant for her. However a girls got to do what a girls got to do to make headway in life. What she didn’t count on is the crazy attraction she has to Austin. Particularly as she learns there really is more to the man than he lets on and that makes him even more appealing.
What will happen when the truth comes out and Austin finds out she’s not the woman he thought she was? Will it rip them apart or will they be able to work it out?
Baller Boss had numerous laugh out loud moments and my grandchildren thought I was going crazy. The characters were engaging and you cannot help but love them.
This book is a little gem and one I happily recommend.

Jennifer and Austin are so much fun between their witty banter and the situations they find themselves in, but their journey still has all the feels. They have a way of challenging each other and although they are very different they find a way to meet in the middle.

Jennifer aka Jenn, hasn't had an easy time of it lately after losing her job, and the reason for it was terrible to boot. She receives an offer for a dream job, but it doesn't take her any time at all to figure out it's for the other Jennifer Walker, the bane of her existence since this isn't the first time for the mix up. She decides to take it anyway, and she's flourishing at it, plus her boss, Austin, is amazing. They're so entertaining together that I found myself laughing a ton throughout. The chemistry isn't so bad either, however, Jenn does have that whole secret and you already know it won't go over well when it comes out, or will it?! I loved this story so much, even when I got mad about a thing or two as Lila Monroe knocked it out of the park. It was impossible to put down, and left a big smile on my face after I devoured it in short order. You don't want to pass Baller Boss up as I HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I love this author. She can make me laugh and fan myself..this book is no different.
Jenn and Austin's chemistry is off the charts and the banter is on point..they are really good together..but what will happen when the truth comes out?

Baller Boss was so good. It's hilarious, has great characters, and a wonderful story. I loved the "meet cute" and the banter between Jenn and Austin. This story was light hearted and steamy and I loved every second. I cannot wait for the next book!!

I don't know how but I flew through the pages reading Austin and Jenn’s story. These two just captured my attention right from the start. I loved their story. It's completely different from any other books I've read that have a sportsman as MC. I loved Austin's character so much. He's so passionate about his work, he wasn't holding on to his ball career. He's not a total alpha but I wouldn't say he's soft too. He's the perfect in-between. I loved him with Jenn. I think they bring out the best in each other. I loved their chemistry and banter. I think their story is an all-around entertaining romance. Highly recommend and you can read this as a standalone if you never read this series.

I was excited to dive back into the Mavericks crew and find out how Austin finds his perfect match. However, I am a person who gets distracted by typos and grammar mistakes when I’m reading and this book was full of them. Tough to fall in love with a book when it hasn’t been properly edited. 😔

It was a fun read
I enjoyed the characters and story but the trouble with reading the “Based on a lie” romance is spending the whole book worrying about it blowing up in the character’s face. This book also needed a copy editor to remove all the typos. Overall, It was a fun read with some deliciously steamy parts.

A mistaken identity romance.
For years now, Jenn has been receiving emails for her name doppelgänger. She has lived vicariously throughout “Other Jenn’s” emails. VIP invites, receipts for designer clothes, room service bills, confirmation of yacht rentals, explicit date requests. They share a similar career in marketing, live in the same city and are the same age, that’s where the similarities end. Jenn works a dull marketing job for a corporate law firm, while Other Jenn is living it up in fashion PR.
Austin has retired from a successful pro baseball career. He’s one of five best friends who have opened two very successful bars in the city. He wants something just his own. So he’s taken everything he’s learned in sports therapy and rehabilitation, and put it into his spa. One that will cater to men. Now he needs a top notch marketing plan.
Jenn meets Austin in his bar while accompanying a new client for a drink. Things get out of hand with the client. Punches are thrown, and she’s fired from her boring but stable job.
When the email comes in for a job offer, she jumps at it. Soon she realizes the job offer was not for her but Other Jenn.
She fits well with Austin’s team. Helps them out of several sticky spots. Even starts to develop feelings for Austin. But the guilt of her tiny lie, keeps eating at her.
This was a cute story, I love the characters.
The earlier books revolved around Olivia and her “Agency”. She set up the fake date/girlfriend/wife with legal contracts. I miss that aspect of this series.
Like most of the earlier books this one too could use another serious go through with an editor. It was hard to read in spots.
While I really like the stories, they are getting very formulaic and predictable.
It’s told mostly from Jenn’s POV.
The eventually work through their issues, and end up together in the end.
The epilogue sets up the next book. Seb and Roxy.

Jennifer and Austin share an attraction from the moment they meet, but when they start working together, they realize that acting on those feelings would only complicate matters... especially since Jennifer may not be who Austin thinks she is...
Jennifer was a great character who found herself in a not-so-great situation. While dealing with a somewhat continuous case of mistaken identity, she didn't mean to pretend that she was someone else, and it was something that she was constantly stressing over. Especially when she developed real feelings for Austin.
I really liked Austin and his desire to make something of himself that had nothing to deal with his former fame. Opening a spa was a great fit for him, and he worked extremely hard to make sure it all came together, but what he didn't foresee happening, was falling for his newest hire...
The Billionaire Bachelors series continues to be a wonderful escape in the reading world, and I truly love catching up with all of the characters in it with each new installment!

I'm still loving the Billionaire Bachelor series with this new addition.
We have not one but two Jennifer Walkers. Jet setting marketing guru and Influencer Jennifer and forced to underachieve bored marketing guru and non-influencer Jennifer. 😂 I bet you can guess which one is our heroine.
Our Jenn goes from bored to jobless because she won't play well with her Old Boy's Club bosses. She stands up for herself as she should and she may have lost her job but she leaves a big impression on Austin. Austin is an ex-pro-athlete and a member of the Billionaire Boys who run Mavericks and Renegades social/night clubs. They know how to behave themselves when it counts. Austin is everything you can want in a good man.
Jenn is fun and smart. Austin is well, fun and smart, too. But one mistaken identity has Jenn working for Austin in her dream job. It's not professional to mix business with pleasure but, of course, soon she's in love with the man of her dreams. What should be an easy conversation with Jenn coming clean about the mixup ends up being more complicated than necessary when there never seems to be a good time. Ugh.
Leave it to Lila Monroe, one of the great rom-com writers in the biz, to create a fun comedy filled with lots of charming characters, fun surprises, and easy laughs. There is no cheating, no obvious OM/OW drama, and sure there's a bit of angst but it all works out into a pretty special HEA for Austin and Jenn.
This is a great read and I think all of the author's fans will be pleased as well as the new readers. I recommend it and I am giving it four fun stars.

Baller Boss was full of so much light and flirty fun. Jenn and Austin have an unforgettable meet-cute and when Jenn goes to interview for a new job, Austin would be her new boss. Problem is he thinks she’s the “other” Jenn Walker that she keeps getting mistaken for. Austin loves hers ideas and won’t take no for an answer so Jenn decides to prove that she’s the right woman for the job, but will it cost her when Austin discovers her secret?
“I never saw you coming, Austin. I’d always hoped I would meet someone and just know. Feel this connection, be able to picture our lives together. And then suddenly, it was you.”
Jenn and Austin were so much fun right from the start. Their banter was hilarious and lighthearted and they were a perfect match. Austin helped Jenn start to really living her life and showed that she was capable of so much more than she had thought while Jenn was a calming force for all of Austin’s grandiose ideas. They balanced each other out so well and fit into each other’s lives seamlessly.
Full of so much heart, heat and humor, Baller Boss was an absolutely delightful read. I had a huge smile on my face the entire time I was reading it and I loved each and every adventure these two shared. Now I can’t wait for the next book in this charming series.

You know when you pick up a book and it grabs you right from the start, but then you have to put the book down for a bit because you need to adult and actually participate in society, when all you really want to do is kick back and finish one of the best books you have read all year - this is what Austin and Jenn’s book meant to me. That break I was forced to have, I honestly was probably useless to everyone because my mind was constantly thinking about how this book would play out. Sure I could somewhat guess what was going to happen, but the whole winning the person you love back I never once saw that coming, and it made this story even more outstanding. So, in case it wasn’t obvious, I absolutely loved everything about this book and the next book seems like it’s going to be a cracker as well. Baller Boss would have to be my favourite story in the Billionaire Bachelor series. Ms Monroe has done an outstanding job writing Austin Bank’s book. I laughed alot, the whole storyline was riveting and I really didn’t want it to end. It is just so flipping entertaining and so up my alley. I loved everything about it. Absolutely everything.
Jenn is a hoot, shes quirky, fierce and really quite something and someone I could see as a friend. When she has an unfortunate moment and has to defend herself, her life takes an unexpected turn. Then an opportunity presents itself and she jumps at the chance.
Needless to say, the banter between Austin and Jenn is hilarious. Don’t even get me started on the sizzling chemistry! So high you could cut it with a knife. Austin is gorgeous, charming and seems to really gel with Jenn, their ease of friendship as time passes is amazing.
Jenn needs to try and tell Austin her truth, however something always gets in the way. When the proverbial poo hits the fan, how will they cope? I loved them and their friends and family, the support when things get tough was wonderful.
I really highly recommend you go 1 click this one, its an absolute must read!
Cant wait for more of the series. Well played Ms Monroe, well played!

This may be book nine in the Billionaire Bachelors Series but I have to say Baller Boss was like a breath of fresh air and it’s a wonderful addition to the series. If you love billionaire romances look no further than Austin and Jennifer (Jenn) Walker’s journey in Baller Boss.
Jenn is struggling in a job she feels is going no where but it’s a job and the last thing she expected was to get fired because she turned down the advances of a client. Her boss not only fired her, he also ruined her reputation in the marketing field in the area so when she get a call inviting her for a job interview she jumps on it. Problem is this interview was meant to be for a different Jennifer Walker …
Add in the boss us a man she meet a few nights ago and you get an entertaining start to a new career as head of marketing for Austin’s new spa venture. But what happens when feelings come into play and then Austin finds out she wasn’t the Jennifer Walker he thought he was interviewing. You are going to need to one this gem to find that out…..
Baller Boss is romantic comedy at its best, it’s witty, it’s funny but it’s also emotional, there are plenty of ups and downs as you join Austin and Jenn’s shenanigans, it has the perfect mix of love, passion, humour and drama with wonderful characters and it’s a captivating read. Loved everything about this captivating and witty read.

Lila Monroe has done it again with her latest release, Baller Boss. It is the ninth book in the Billionaire Bachelors series. I have to say this is my favorite in the series so far.
The story is told in dual narration by Jennifer Walker and Austin Banks.
Austin is part of the Mavericks Bar gang. He is a former professional baseball player, and now he is trying to open a man spa. He just needs one thing….someone to launch his marketing campaign. He needs the Jennifer Walker.
I adored Jenn! Her backstory and her journey are so much fun. She’s surrounded by great friends, and those secondary characters added so much to the story. Once she lands her dream job, everything in her life seems to be lining up perfectly.
What would a romance be without some angst? While Baller Boss has minimal angst, it does a have a little, and that plot twist is was a bit of surprise but ultimately a fun one.
I really enjoyed the story culmination, the denouement, and especially how Jennifer takes life head on.

If you are looking for rom com that will have you laughing, swooning and fanning yourself from the heat then give this a one click. Austin is part of the friends that have been struck by cupid and fallen hard in the past books and now it seems he is up to bat. A retired ball player he now wants to create his own empire of spas, relaxation and healing of the body. Learned from all his years as a professional athlete he knows the importance of self-care. Now all he needs is a fabulous marketing guru.
Jennifer Walker is stuck in a rut at a law office. Their need for exciting marketing is non-existent and she wants to break out of the hum drum. When a case of mistaken identity causes a job to fall in her lap, she goes with it, but she soon realizes that she will need to come clean. Working for Austin has been a dream and he couldn't be a kinder, funnier sex on a stick boss, but all good things must come to an end, or do they.

The perils of having a common name.
Jennifer Walker, marketing maven. Our Jenn is in marketing but at a dead end job she's had since college that hasn't let her put the "maven" title to use yet. The Other Jenn is a social media powerhouse with high profile gigs on her resume. Maven for sure.
A little harmless paperwork mix up couldn't really hurt her...right? She knows she could rock this job if given a chance and since the Other Jenn isn't here to take the job...
Also, it's kinda hard to say no to the ultra hot Austin Banks when he begs her to take the job of marketing for his new spa. There will always be the chance to fess up to the mix up. Eventually.
This book is so fun! Austin is so sweet (& very sexy) and Jenn is amazing at this job. She's going to definitely be able to add that maven description to her name soon. But things get so complicated when her special skills overflow to extracurricular after work skills with Austin.

This is part of a series but easily is a standalone story. I have read a few books in this series but not all of them. This sounded like a really fun and original story/romance and so I was so excited to read it.
It was filled with characters that made me chuckle and a plot I really adored. The whole surprise and fake identity storyline were really a minor part of the story. Honestly, I did not feel it was a real issue because her name was the exact same. She might have fudged a bit with her experience but by the time she got the job it was based on her skills and personal interactions and not her job history.
I LOVED when the other Jenn showed up in the story. I was so excited when the two Jenn's got together, and I loved what the author did with the other Jenn.
If you are looking for a light fun read that will keep you interested and give you a few laughs and a really awesome and romantic lead, then this is an awesome romance.

I loved this story so much! Austin will have you swooning, while Jenn will have you laughing out loud while falling in love with her! 5 stars for this one!
What are the chances you share a name and a very similar email with a semi famous person, for this Jennifer it's very real. After losing her job, she gets an email and goes on the interview, and realizes that this was very much meant for the other Jennifer, but its her dream job and she doesn't want to pass it up, and it's with the guy, Austin that she met at the bar a few weeks ago, how can she pass this one up?
Austin can't believe his eyes when he sees the woman he watch punch a guy in the privates at his bar, here interviewing for a job to market his new business. He loved he attitude that night and he needs that for the marketing position he's trying to fill. He'll do what ever it takes to hire her for this job!
Read along as their story unfolds and get ready to laugh and fall in love!

Fun addition to the Billionaire Bachelor series. Jennifer Walker is having a rough week. She gets groped by a company client and ends up losing her job. She is now blackballed in the marketing arena because of her last company’s bad mouthing her. When she gets a call for a job at a luxury start up spa, she is thrilled. Once she gets there, she realizes that they are expecting another Jennifer Walker, media influencer, not her. Austin Banks is a retired baseball player who has decided that his second act with a start up luxury spa. He wants to hire influencer Jennifer Walker to help with his marketing. When other Jenn Walker shows up, he gives her the hard sell to run his marketing campaign. Jenn decides to take the job and after wowing him for a few weeks, she will tell him the truth. What could go wrong? This is a really fun book, with lots of laughs. I received an arc of this book from the author for my honest opinion.

I just love this series! I just love all the Bachelors!
This is the story of Austin and Jenn. A case of mistaken identity and a whirlwind of swoons, steam and laughs!
I found Jenn to be adorable, and I could so see myself in some of her antics and her "cozy" way of life. I also admired how she took the reins of the job that fell into her lap and made it her own. She let her shine like the diamond she is.
Austin is trying to find a new path in life after baseball. He is worried, but when he finds his new marketing maven in Jenn he thinks all of his prayers are answered!
The chemistry between these two is electric, the inner dialogue from both Austin and Jenn is perfect and I was totally invested in both of them.
I loved seeing all the past characters in this series make their appearances and I also loved the lead-up to Seb's story!

Jennifer needs a chance and a job interview meant for the woman she keeps getting mistaken for might just be her new start. It just so happens that Austin witnessed the incident that caused her to lose her pervious job and he thinks she is the right woman for his new venture. She cannot resist taking the job and intends to set Austin straight, but when sparks fly between them she cannot seem to get the words out. They make a great couple and just seem to fit so well in each other’s lives. He brings out her adventurous side and she helps calm him and they are hot together. Events come to a head and their happy world comes crashing down. It’s up to Jennifer to find her fighting spirit and fight for what she wants. This is a fun, hot thoroughly enjoyable read.
