The Calling All Rakes series is proving to be very entertaining and I am enjoying all the mystery, wit, and romance. When Alexi Starlight bumbles her way into a tryst in a dark corner of the garden and gets implicated in the affair, she knows just who to call upon to help her clear her name. With her father breathing down her neck and demanding that Baron Dillan Brightmore does the right thing, Alexi knows her time is limited. Not wanting to be forced into marriage with Dillan, Alexi and her friend Lady Charlotte beard the lion in his den and demand his help in finding clues to the nameless lady who is the actual culprit, especially since Alexi's name is being bandied about in the newspaper. What the hapless pair do not realize is that they are the perfect foil for one another, bringing out the best in each other, resulting in reform and building self-confidence. As Dillan and Alexi spend time together chasing down clues, they find support from their true friends, giving them time and the opportunity they need to build a relationship. The plot comes to a very satisfactory conclusion with the culprit getting the set down she deserves and the transformed young people finding happiness in each other. I received a copy of this well-written romance as a gift and this is my honest and voluntary review.

💋💋

An enjoyable and entertaining read, these two were made for each other.

Dillan is a drunkard and a rake who seems to enjoy trysts with other mens wives, in fact that’s just what he’s doing when he meets Starlite .
Unfortunately they together end up getting caught, and the gossip mongers are now gathering.

A fun and interesting read from Tammy, it’s got everything you need from a regency romance.
Enjoy!

**DELIGHTFUL**
Alexi is a wonderful character. She does not have a high opinion of herself and neither does the ton. She seems to be a bit clumsy. Her personality however trumps all that. She is kind, thoughtful and sees the best in people. A wallflower for sure. Her parents are stern and speak as if she embarrasses them. One evening at a ball she did embarrass herself dancing with a lord. She lost her steps and trod on his toes. After hiding behind a plant, she overheard the gossip about how dreadful she was. It hurt her deeply. She found herself in the back yard crying and breathing hard. What happened next changed the trajectory of her life. The result tested her feelings about herself and to realize what was true and what was not. And with the Baron at her side, he too found he wanted a better life than what he had. A must read. You will be inspired and smile all the way throughout the book. You will not be disappointed. I do recommend.

Found: Bare with a Baron: Victorian Mystery Romance
(Calling all Rakes Book 3)
Written by: Tammy Andresen

So nice to be back with my favorite group of ladies who love mysteries!

This is Alexi and Dillan’s adventure, and what an adventure it is.

Alexi Starlight is trying so hard to be exactly what her parents want her to be. Since she has trod on toes while dancing, hidden behind floral arrangements and generally been a failure at tonight’s ball, she decides to take a walk in the garden to get some fresh air. Should she be alone outside with no chaperone, NO! But our wallflower needs to be alone to cry.

He may be drunk but that doesn’t stop him from offering a lady a good time in the bushes. A rogue, a rake and a let down to his family; Baron Dillan Brightmore is caught by our lovely wallflower, with another lady in the bushes, the lady runs off while Dillan is left to catch Alexi when she trips on a stone. He may be drunk but he sees how beautiful this young lady is and he knows he should walk away. Too late however, they’ve been seen. Both pleading innocence that nothing happened between them, we are entering into our newest mystery!

Alexi and Dillan join forces to look for clues to find the lady who ran off and prove that Alexi is not the woman who was “in the bushes” with Dillan. They have the help of Charlotte, the Countess of Westmoreland who is a wonderful mystery solver.

If there were every two people who should be courting it is Alexi and Dillan. They seem to bring out the best in each other, now they just have to realize that maybe Alexi did them both a favor that night! The biggest question is…who was the lady that ran away?

Will he be able to over this past wound to save his present and future…

One more fun and entertaining read to add to this series.
It begins with the near ruination of the heroine to the redeeming of the hero.
Alexi feels awkward among people, her shyness leading to clumsiness, reinforcing her feeling of insecurity. So when she is caught in the embrace of a drunk lord, all hopes of a possible love match are crushed down, unless she can prove she was an unexpected unwilling witness of a lovers tryst.
Dillan is drowning his guilt in alcohol and meaningless affairs, but when he realizes his last stunt might cost someone else than him her good name. A woman he immediately acknowledges as undeserving of Society’s scorn. Yet can he change the course of his life, face his remorses and redeems his way to earn her good graces.

A lovely tale of a flawed man who sees truly the gem everyone bypass.

Dillan, Baron Brightmore is the exact sort of rake a debutante should stay far away from, he's a drunkard & enjoys a tryst. Not that Miss Alexi Starlight need worry about rogues, she’s too busy blending into the wall to catch the eye of a man like that. That is until she stumbles, literally across a Dillan having a tryst in the garden with an unknown lady, the woman escapes into the dark & Alexi is left alone with Dillan. She can’t imagine the situation could get any worse until her hosts happen upon them and mistake her for the tryster. And then the entire affair gets published in the paper. And, of course, her father insists she weds Baron Brightmore. Alexi is determined to prove her innocence and change her fate. They are aided by Alexi’s close friends afterall they are only investigating together to escape a marriage, not become further embroiled aren't they?
This is the third book in this delightful & charming series, it could easily be read on its own even though the characters from previous books do make appearances. Dillan drinks to excess & has more than the occasional tryst. Alexi is seen as a clumsy wallflower but she’s loyal, caring, intelligent & so very kind. There's an immediate attraction between the pair & when marriage seems inevitable Dillon asks to be given time to court Alexi & he decides to clean up his act. I wasn’t too enamoured of Dillan until he gave up drinking & then his backstory emerged & I fell for him. Alexi was a complete delight. I loved how their relationship grew, changed & I loved their road to a HEA. A very well written engrossing read, which I read in a sitting

Sometimes you just need to escape to a nice calm and quiet place. This book is one of them. Nothing overly dramatic, no over the top shenanigans, and no temper tantrums to be found. While there is absolutely nothing wrong with any of that sometimes you just need pretty gowns, friendship, and romance which this book delivers.
I liked it. :)

I have a little query - a Victorian Mystery Romance? I could only see a romance. Nothing Victorian about it, more of a Regency romance. Not much mystery either. Nevertheless, it was a lovely HEA story. I enjoyed it. 5☆

Miss Alexi Starlight should be a Diamond of the First Water; she's lovely, kind, polite, the daughter of a princess & a viscount but she is extremely clumsy - stepping a lord's feet during dancing, stumbles for no reason at all. Now she has proven all the gossip about her missteps as she accidently, literally stumbles upon a gentleman & a lady sharing a tryst outside the ballroom she had just escaped from the gossips.

Dillan, Baron Brightmore is a handsome, well-established rake, heavy drinker & after Alexi's stumble got their attention, the lady in his company runs from the scene & escapes in the dark leaving Alexi & a drunk Dillan alone in the garden. That was bad enough but when the hosts of the ball assume she is out having a tryst with Dillan, the newspapers gossip about it in their column & Alexi's father insisting on Dillan marrying his daughter before she is ruined.

Alexi will not be forced to marry, nor does she wish to force Dillan to marry her - she is innocent & will prove it plus she wants to marry for love. Together, she & Dillon agree to investigate the identity of the mysterious lady as Dillan was too foxed to remember & Alexi calls on some very influential friends to help them. The investigation, their friendship & attraction builds & feelings become real. It was a bumpy road, but the mysterious lady is found, friends & family help with society & other obstacles to give the couple their HEA. I voluntarily read & reviewed an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book; all thoughts & opinions are my own.

SO SWEET!!! Found: Bare with a Baron by Tammy Andresen is book 3 in the Calling all Rakes series and I really enjoyed this book. Though in a series this book can be read as a standalone. What I like best about Tammy’s books is that they are so very easy to read. Her descriptions are vivid and they have the real feel of the regency era. I also find them a tad witty as I can relate to with the main character Alexi. A tad clumsy and very unsure of ourselves which make this book just a joy to read. I also liked that the hero of this story, Dillan is also flawed and I feel these two were just destine for each other. Tammy is such an amazing writer and is a favorite of mine. Her books are like a potato chip… You can’t read just one. This story has a lady that is very unsure of herself, a baron who is a drinker with a dark past, blaming oneself, a loving sister, a controlling father, caught in a scandal, wanting to know who the mystery women is, not remembering, a Countess who acts like a detective, a forced marriage proposal, finding the truth and falling in love. I am highly recommending this book or any of Tammy’s books… They are truly DELIGHTFUL!!!

Calling all rakes

Emotional Rollercoaster with this intriguing romance.

Baron Dillon Brightmore has been a drunken man for most of his adult life, it takes a shy wallflower Alexi Starlight to get him to actually open up as to the reason he is a drunk.

Very interesting story as Alexi character is just so sweet and adorable you want to see her, get her happily ever after for the person she is, not the clumsy wallflower.

Dillons really wants to change his way of life, if he could just stay away from drink. His sister and grandmother more or less give up on him, until a shy wallflower enters.

I found this story to really hit the heart with how something that happened when we were young change the way you live your life.

Highly recommend

If you are calling all rakes, you definitely want to call Dillan Brightmore. Guilt-ridden by a tragedy in his youth, he spends his time drunk and womanizing. Alexi Starlite is a wallflower. She doesn’t necessarily want to be, but her shyness and clumsiness, she is avoided by most gentlemen. Stepping out into the garden one evening, she stumbles into Dillan, and they are “caught” in a compromising situation. The two of them join forces with her friend Charlotte to track the woman who was actually with Dillan. Will they be able to solve the mystery and prove their innocence before they are forced to marry? What a mess!

I liked this cute-with-a-side-of-somber story. Lexi is a bit awkward, but being with Dillan is good for her. He sees her intelligence and kind heart. He makes her feel better about herself. Being around Lexi makes Dillan want to change, to be a better person. She, along with her friends, help him sober up and move past what he sees as his failings. When they realize that together is the best of both of them, they can look forward to a happily ever after. I enjoyed and recommend this lovely story about finding forgiveness, peace, and love.

Found: Bare With A Baron is a fast-paced historical romance by Tammy Andresen. Ms. Andresen has provided readers with a well-written book populated with quirky, lovable characters. This is a fairly quick read, perfect for those with limited reading time. Alexi is a little shy and more than a little clumsy when she's nervous. After a disaster of a dance, she steps outside to escape for a few moments. Dillan's tryst was interrupted by Alexi but he's protective when they are discovered alone. Dillan and Alexi's story is loaded with drama, humor, sizzle and mystery. I enjoyed reading Found: Bare With A Baron and look forward to my next book by Tammy Andresen. This is book 3 of the Calling All Rakes Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete book, not a cliffhanger.

I really enjoy how Tammy weaves mystery and humor with romance. It keeps the story interesting but not in the sense that you're reading a tense thriller. Just enough to keep you realizing this series is more than just a simple romance.
A young woman finds a man and woman in a compromising position, but the woman disappears and she's caught Baron-handed, so to speak. While they're forced to agree to a marriage, of course, this is still a Regency romance after all, they both agree to work to find the woman who was responsible for this mess in the first place. Then, they realize that maybe, just maybe, this woman did them a favor.

Found: Bare With A Baron Alexi and Dillan's story
How could a timid, akward, graceless but kind and lovely wallflower possibly find herself in a compromising situation with a womanizing, drunken rake? It is very easy to do when one literally stumbles at the feet of a couple in a garden having a tryst and the actual woman involved runs off without them knowing who she was. Alexi Starlight has throughly gotten herself into a mess this time with her clumsiness. One she is determined to get out of without being forced to marry.
Dillan, Baron Brightmore, is having a lovely tryst in the garden when he is interrupted by someone falling at his feet. Being too foxed to remeber who he was with, he thinks Alexi is the woman as when they're caught she's the one with him.
After reading in the paper what occured, Alexi's father is going to force them to be married. So the two of them decide they will work together with friends to figure out who the mystery woman was.
Dillan has a tragic past that has led to him being the druken solven he is. He doesn't feel worthy of love but decides he will change himself for the love of Alexi. Spending time together working on the mystery has showed Alexi just how strong she can and not the clumsy person she normally is. Time together has them soon falling in love.
This is a wonderfully written short read. It has wonderful characters new and from previous stories. Definitely well worth the read.
I received this book as a gift and this is my honest review.

This book is a nice addition to the series Calling All Rakes. This is a stand-alone story, but I have read the previous book, and I loved it. This story is about Alexi and Dillan. Alexi is a wallflower and considered clumsy by the town, but she is really very kind, thoughtful and caring. At a ball she finds herself overhearing a tryst going on between a Baron (Dillan) and an unknown woman. When the woman hears her, she runs away. Alexi is now left with Dillan who is totally drunk and does not remember who he was just trysting with, but Alexi is getting blamed, and her reputation is going to be ruined unless she can find out who Dillan had behind the bushes. Dillan decides to help her figure it out, because he can not remember, but being with Alexi he has decided to be a better man. When Alexi is with Dillan, she has more confidence which makes her a better version of herself. These two characters bring out the best of each other, which had me happy. I know you will enjoy this story.
I received an ARC of this book and am leaving my honest opinion.

What a Enjoyable story! From the first page to the last you will spellbound by Found: Bare with a Baron, third in the series of Calling all Rakes Series. With the appearances from characters who you found a special place in your heart from the previous novels. Tammy Andresen has given readers a book that is well-written and well paced, with flawed characters who manage to grow and yet retain their personalities which captivates you from the beginning until the very end it with great cast of characters that come off the pages and pull you into this emotional ride that keeps you involved until the very end, sizzling passion, heartfelt dialogue, and with an enjoyable plot that brings this read together perfectly!

I thought Alexi was such a lady; a strong woman with what she had to deal with Dillan. I think that the writer did a wonderful job of showing the situation from Alexis eyes and having her lead the team in looking for the answers that she and the group needed. If Alexi had waited on Dillan, that would have been a lost cause at that time. The writer also did a great job with soothing her readers by sharing Dillans better attributes of being a gentleman. Choosing the trio of Alexi, Dillan and Charlotte as the self noted investigators was a plus. Having Charlottes intelligence and superiority was a plus when needed. Some of the moments I thought was a bit witty and also very entertaining.

unexpected storyline

Dillan and Alexi both suffer from insecurities. He from guilt due to a loss when he was an irresponsible young man and she because of over protective parents repressing her initiative. His guilt leads him to alcoholism addiction and hers to debilitating social anxiety. Together they bolster each other up and become stronger. The circumstances on how they meet are unusual and their interactions are skewed by the circumstances. Together they must overcome their disabilities and societies scrutiny to find true love. How they work together and the help their friends give them is the storyline. This is a quick satisfying read with a very happy ending.

What's a girl to do? Alexi just happens to be at the wrong place at the wrong time, when she overhears a tryst going on and stumbles and falls on the rake as his "lady" flees. Of course, they are found that way and she is considered compromised.

Dillon, a noted rake and heavy drinker, did not even realize who the lady was he had been with.... Alexi is determined not to be forced to marry because she only wants to wed for love.

As these two work together to try to find the original lady he was trysting with, an attraction begins to blossom. But can these two ever find a way to be happy ever after?

Great addition to this fun series I adore!

Alexi Starlight isn't known for being graceful. Interrupting a tryst in the garden at a ball, Alexi trips at the feet of Dillan, Baron Brightmore. He catches her before she falls. For once someone helps her avoid disaster. Even though discovered, they find themselves in the position of maybe or maybe not having to marry. If only they could find the lady who was in the tryst with Dillan that disappeared. In the time they spend together, they discover how much they need each other. A short, sweet, compassionate romance with a little steam.

A fun romp

What happens when you are uncomfortable at a ball, feeling clumsy and embarrassed because others are ridiculing you? You escape outside…you happen upon a tryst! The woman runs the man is deep in his cups. Well this happens to Alexi. She is caught alone with Dillon…a rake.
This is an entertaining story about two people who doubt their self worth. Together they grow in confidence burying the past and perhaps finding love.

This book is about Miss Alexi Starlit and Dillan, Baron Brightmore. Dillan is battling demons and is spiraling, and has been for quite some time. Alexi is sweet, kind but social awkward. One chance meeting has them thrown together to solve a mystery of the vanishing lady. I love the story. Another great book by Tammy Andresen!

A great read!

I enjoyed reading about Dillan and Alexi, how they came to meet to when they fell in love. She was clumsy because she lacked confidence in herself, she seems to gain some when she gets to know the Baron. I'm glad they got to have their HEA. I highly recommend this book! 👍👍👍👍❤❤❤❤

I will start by saying I like most of Tammy Andresen's books and this is no exception. I liked the set up of the story and they way the couple supported each other. Although it was a short read they did touch on addiction and I found that interesting as its not a topic most romance novels touch on. I'm waiting for the next book in this series to come out.

This one could have been great, but needed to be way longer - the struggle of his alcohol problems and their relationship needed another 50-100 pages to land properly, and instead felt really rushed. Im also noticing a theme in this series where every male lead uses a certain…technique…to land the marriage which I’m hoping isn’t just a trope of the series

another delightful addition to this fun series

The characters have you rooting for them from page 1. Both aren’t happy with who they are but neither sees the way forward. Together the bring out the better side of each other and become the people they long to be. A fun read with great characters, sweet moments, and steamy love scenes.
