Waverly Windswept is the newest witch on the Isles of Mer—not the best thing to be when a body drops on her doorstep and all the clues point in her direction.
Determined to expose the real murderous leech, Waverly’s on a new hunt that ropes in her semi-criminal sister and a sexy private investigator carrying a host of his own secrets as they try to thwart members of a growing cult and uncover the clues to find the ancient treasure of a goddess.
Will Waverly beat the noxious spell of a death-dealing devil or end up smothered by the seashore?
Being the new witch in the area comes with downsides as our heroine is rapidly learning. But learning she is, so this is just another opportunity to excel.
This is book two of the series, but it is written as a standalone. Feel free to start at any time.
This is a cozy witch mystery so all good there. But we also throw in mermaids and other exceptional beings and things get really interesting. The story is well written and easy to read with a diverse cast (see above) that provides plenty of friends and foes for our heroine to deal with. The setting is a nice tropical paradise, or it would be if it wasn't for all the trouble. I love our heroine and enjoyed her snark, although she can be a bit of a handful. The mystery was also a good one with plenty of twists and turns to keep you guessing. Overall, it was a fun story and I look forward to seeing more in the future.
Highly recommended

Waverly seems to be warming to life in the islands- a little softer, a bit more of her wild side and her vulnerable bits peek out.
will it cost her more than it brings her again?
witch symbols pop up. could there be witches tied to the Mer?
troubles seem to follow Kai and Waverly. Have they found an island home and family for themselves, or just dreams that evaporate like the spray from the sea?

This is a great read, I really enjoyed it! I’m loving this series, it is so awesome! The mystery is super interesting, and the isle of Mer is such an original place. Great characters make it even more fun to read. I read it too quick and now I can’t wait for the next book! Brilliant!
This series is unique and adventurous especially in the cozy genre. I was a bit shocked but delighted with the turns this book made. This whole series is refreshing since sometimes the cozy genre can get repetitive with the same plots. Awesome book!
This is a well written and has well developed/loveable characters. Very well told story and with the strong characters makes for a very enjoyable read. Great Reading Everyone!
