Coffee Spirits: A Serving of Egg Nog: A Ghost and the Coffee Grinder Mystery

Rate this book
It is Nora and Lisa’s first Christmas in Hillsboro, and their café, The Perfect Cup, has had a great year. She had never thought that the café’s first Christmas in the village would be this grand. She and her partner/co-owner Lisa had been planning for weeks for the holiday season. But all the planning had remained constrained to the interior of the café, the decorations, festive aprons for the staff, and most important the Seasonal menu. The Christmas tree being erected made it real. Their café, ‘A Perfect Cup’ had gained a reputation for the daring blends that were served. All its credit went to the Coffee connoisseur Lisa who was right now hovering on the top of the 18 ft. Christmas tree and scrutinizing it intently. Well, yes, hovering around, literally, was not a problem for Lisa, since the limitations of the physical world was a concern only for the living. And Lisa, after all, was a ghost.

Nora had already gained a reputation of being a crazy coffee lady who served good coffee. Not to mention a reputation for frequently getting involved in criminal investigations, not deliberately though. Her friendly ghost Lisa had always aided in the investigations, which baffled the police chief Sherman, who couldn’t explain how Nora had always been a step ahead of him.

Nora was hoping against all odds that they could get through the entire Christmas season with no drama, no mysteries and no MURDERS!

But when one of the wishes in the community Christmas stocking was exactly that……a wish for a Murder, Nora and Lisa are on the job again.

Can they stop the mastermind before the strike??

Cute Christmas cozy set in a small town with most of the town taking part in making sure everyone has a Merry Christmas and that all of the children’s wishes are granted. However, someone wants to spoil it all and kill the person who suggested the celebration. Thankfully that doesn’t happen.

Quick Read

Good lighthearted story line even if Nora carries the ghost around in a coffee grinder. It's a quick read but the ending is an eyeroll flat.
