This exciting novella is the first story in the brand new Devil’s Nightmare MC Next Generation series by USA Today Bestselling Author Lena Bourne. No cliffhanger, HEA guaranteed!
New love. Sick love. Only one can win.
Bea
For most of my life I lived in fear of a man I could feel watching me everywhere I went. A man only I knew was there, and everyone else dismissed as a figment of my imagination.
But when my childhood crush rides back into town all that seems surmountable. And for one glorious night, it is. But the darkness following me is never far behind.
And this time, it’s out for blood.
Ash
Coming back after ten years of fighting a losing war was never going to be easy. But the redhead with perfect curves and legs for days could make it easier. What I didn’t count on was falling for her so hard after just one night.

Ash was the beginning novella for the Devil’s Nightmare MC Next Generation series by Lena Bourne. It was not necessary to read the original series first; however, it was a great series and added to the enjoyment of this new series.
I’m taking a break from my normal review process at the moment but a few quick thoughts: I really liked Ash and Bea. They had some challenges that were a great introduction to the series and the MC characters. As a novella, it was a short read and although enjoyable, I would have loved a full length novel with more depth and dimension. It was a great start to the new series and hopefully we’ll see more of Ash and Bea’s development as the series progresses.
Ash and Bea had known each other since they were young. Bea an Ash’s fathers were both members of the Devils Nightmare MC and were killed while performing club business. Now that Ash is home from the Marines he and Bea are connecting once again. Bea has a stalker but nobody believes her. It’s up to Ash to protect her now.
This was a good quick read and has me wanting for more.
Ash returns home after serving in the military but he's a changed man. He's returning to an empty house because his father died recently. He feels unmoored and doesn't have a plan for the future. Bea has a stalker and no one believes her. In fact, a lot of people think she's either crazy or making it up for attention. All she wants is to live a "normal" life. When they discover that they share a mutual attraction, they decide to act on it only to be flung headfirst into a mystery that needs to be solved right away or they just might end up in jail.
I liked Ash right away. He's strong, family-oriented, and smart. He has good reason to feel like his mother and brother don't want him around and he deserves to be angry about it. He didn't really have a lot of character growth in the story. Bea is a good character because she is really strong and keeps her head on straight under some very difficult circumstances. I totally understood the immediate attraction aspect of the story and why they acted on it. Their shared history is interesting but doesn't really play a role in the story (hint: they both have ties to the Devil's Nightmare MC). I like the reveal of the "bad guy" and how that issue was solved.
I felt like the fact that Bea remembered Ash from when they were younger was a throwaway detail that could have gone somewhere. I wanted Ash to have some kind of real closure with his family. I felt like the author set up the closure but didn't really finish it. Bea deserved a huge apology from people close to her and I wanted it in the story. She totally earned that given how she suffered for years being called crazy. Finally, (yes, I know this is a me problem) but I just couldn't wedge this timeline in place after having read Lily's Eagle. In the end, I figured that this book must have taken place just before the events in Lily's Eagle. I thought that was really confusing since this is book 2 in the series.
This is a contemporary story set in a small town. Yes, there is a motorcycle club but it does not play a major role in the story. This is a mystery story with a love story woven in. This is an insta-love story. I will read the next book in the series because I'm interested to find out if the author writes another quiet story about someone on the edges of the MC.

This is a very short story but full of content. Ash returns to his hometown disgruntled with the war that he had been fighting and wondering what he was going to do with the rest his life., he only knew how to be a Marine. He was devastated that his father had died whilst he had been fighting a pointless war in a foreign country, he couldn't even get back for his funeral, sitting on his fathers beloved bike he felt closer to him, his father had been a member of the notorious Devil's nightmare MC. A chance meeting with Bea, the daughter of his mother's neighbour, was to change Ash's life. Bea and Ash had something in common, her father had ridden with the Devil's Nightmare MC and had died. Bea's life wasn't going well, she had a stalker, a stalker that was able to enter her house, Bea was scared but more so because no one would believe her. The chemistry between Bea and Ash was was instant and intense, this story follows the blossoming romance, the danger, the loyalty of the Devil's Nightmare MC for their own and the justice afforded to people who dare to cross them.

Marine returns to his hometown and kindles a relationship -3.5 stars
Ash returns to Pleasantville after spending time in Afghanistan. He wants to pay his respects to his father and try to repair hard feelings with his mother. He runs into Bea, a schoolmate, which becomes instant infatuation.
Both Ash and Bea are children of an outlaw gang of motorcyclists. Both of their fathers died while performing gang duties -- the gang zealously guarded its territory and performed murders for hire.
The back story of their father's deaths, a stalker, and young people's interest in physical relationships is the glue for the adventure. Highlights include a night in the local jail, speedy rides on motorcycles and tracking down a stalker who has tormented Bea for years.
"Ash" can best be summarized as a young-love action-adventure.
Ash has spent the last decade serving his country as a Marine until the questionable death of his father brings him home. After leaving a drama filled family dinner, Bea makes a profound impression on him so when fate brings them together once again, he will do whatever is necessary to keep her safe.
Bea’s father was a brother of Ash’s father in the Devil’s Nightmare MC, and she had feelings for him before he left town. Bea has been feeling threatened however she doesn’t know why or by whom but when the attempts by this person become more brazen will Ash be able to protect her?
Hot chemistry, intrigue and action as Ash and Bea look for answers and discover each other along the way.
This is the second book in this series and revolves around two of the peripheral characters from the book that preceded it. There are some characters here that are more fully developed than others. Perhaps it is because they are more present in both books. The storyline is very different than the first book and to me doesn't have the same depth. A light mystery is included which did keep me guessing.
This book follows Ash, just discharged Marine and Bea, a good friend of Lilys. Both of them have fathers that were members of the motorcycle club and who have died.

When he runs into Bea, a former schoolmate there is an instant infatuation. Both of their fathers were members of the Devil's Nightmare MC and who have died because of belonging to the club. Ash and Bea are both mourning the deaths of their fathers who were part of the MC and killed while on a mission. He's been away for years while in the military and now he's back and determined to find out what happened. I like the way the author brought Ash and Bea together and how when she told him she was being stalked things take a serious turn. This is an intense MC romance packed with danger, intrigue, mystery, steam, and unexpected twists that pulled me into the story and didn't let me go until the last page. I look forward to reading the rest of the Devil's Nightmare MC: Next Generation series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Readers Copy of this book from Booksprout. 3.5 star read. It’s a Quick and to the point kind of story. Both Ash and Bea are kids from fathers who were MC Bothers, both killed while on a mission, one was killed saving Cross, the other was murdered on the side of the road. Their mothers blamed the club and refused to talk to their kids. These two met and fell hard fast but Bea’s stalker will stop and nothing to keep her ‘safe’. Who’s the stalker?
There are a lot of layers that has to be uncovered in this story and I enjoyed uncovering all of them. Ash returns home from the military after the death of his father and vows to find out how it happened. He meets Bea whose father was also a MC brother. She is being stalked but no one believes her that is until she connects with Ash. The story felt a little rushed as there was A LOT happening but was definitely worth the read.
For a short story, it does have everything needed to keep your interest until the last page. Ash has been hardened by his life experiences while Bea has been scared to live her life because of a long time stalker. I liked how Ash believed her from the very start and while their romance seemed to be instalove, they did have a slight history. The author does a good job with keeping the reader guessing as to the stalker's identity until the final chapters.
This is a fast paced short book that links to a MC but doesn't have that as the main focus. It focuses on Ash and his belief in Bea, when she is accused of faking her stalker and also of murder. The insta love fits with the MC setting but for me it lacked a conclusion for both Ash and Bea from their families judgements.

I've read a lot of books written by Lena Bourne; she is one of my favorite authors. I can’t wait to read more of her books.
This is the part of the Devil’s Nightmare MC Next Generation Series; it is a stand-alone short story. The story is about Bea & Ash; her dad was a member of the Devil’s Nightmare MC Club along with his father; he’s been in the Marines but when he father dies he comes back to town.

Short but mighty!!! A bizarre series of events with twists and turns makes for an intriguing mystery I needed to solve. I was immediately drawn in and kept turning pages until the end. My mind was reeling with each new revelation!! I was astounded! A new generation to love and follow. Long may the MCs ride!!!
This is a short fast paced insta love story with strong characters in Ash and Bea. The author brings an exciting story with tons of action and kept me glued to the pages with all the twists and turns along the way. Great start to the new generation of Devil's Nightmare MC's.

Having read the first book in the second generation I personally think this one should have been the first as Ash and Bea were already together in that, I know it could be taken as it was and that is just my opinion. However, this is a really good story and I read it in one sitting.

Bea always feels like she is being watched. She knows it can't be a figment of her imagination, no matter what others say. When Ash (a childhood crush) rolls into town after several years, things heat up quickly. But will that work out for them? Or will her watcher show them why Bea can't belong to anyone else and just how dangerous that could be.. I highly recommend this book.
A fast paced and exciting story that was good from beginning to end. I couldn't put the book down and I enjoyed reading the story. I loved the characters and I am looking forward to reading more from this author.
