I randomly came across this beautiful book while finding novels to read and the thought of what lied within the book consumed me. The cover and the title grabbed my attention and I couldn't resist myself and read it, hoping for it to be an interesting read and I'm glad to say that it lived up beyond my expectations.
The story revolves around the protagonist of the book Raghu. Raghu is a successful stock market investor who makes a good amount of money at a very young age but his life turns upside down when he meets with an accident. The accident took his eyes away. His life was shattered into pieces but can Raghu overcome it? Can he achieve everything again? Read and find out!
The language is kept simple by the author which helps the reader to understand and interpret the book in an easier way and connects the readers to the book. Also the author has done a great job in the meeting the events between 1998 and 2009.So, Overall it's an amazing book!

The characters are very well built. They are strong and independent and have their own different charismatic effect on the overall plot and will stay in your mind for a long time even after you finish the book.

The narrations are superb which keeps the reader engaged right since the first page. The storyline is absolutely brilliant. The story is fast paced and very intriguing. The language is simple and lucid.

The Long run book by T. Sathish is a story of Raghu. Raghu was into stock market, finances, investment in his 20s. And he was going good. His earning was good, he was leading a happy life. The story will talk about the stock market situation during 20th century. The author seems to have a good knowledge of stock market and financing investment.

The story starts with the happy moments in Raghu's life. But as life is a collection of phases, some happy, and some sad, his life turned upside down when his car crashed one day. He took a long time to completely open his eyes but something unfortunate happened to him which was a completely new challenge to him. A challenge like no other, which makes defeat looks certain.

While you were enjoying the spotlight, you slid away from some of your past relationships. Hope shatters but all it takes a handful courage to regain hope, will Raghu be able to regain hope? Will be able to dominate the stock market again? To unfold the further story, read this book.

Book consists of 25 chapter and while turning the pages of the book you will get into the reading more and more. The story plot is completely intriguing and engaging. Not even a single point in the book will make you feel like putting it down.

The ones having the knowledge of investment and financing can completely enjoy this book. The character description and the scene development was 5 on 5. I loved the entire story. And I would recommend the same to you. I am looking forward to read more from the author.

Long Run: A Paradise Augmented by T. Sathish is an exhilarating tale of Raghu who is obsessed with world finance. After obtaining continuous success in the world of trading early on in his life, he meets with an accident that renders him visually handicapped. How this incident changes his life and what brings him to that fatal accident form the narrative of this book.

Raghu is studying at one of the best management institutes in India. Here, he meets Anu and both of them fall for each other. While Anu loved Raghu dearly, he was not sure of his priorities. The turn of events drift the two apart or does it bring them closer? The destiny of their love unfolds in Long Run.

Written in simple language, this page-turner does not leave any chance to hook its readers. Be it realistic characters or their exciting lives, the readers are drawn into their world to taste what it feels like to live with many options to choose from. Based on essential themes of love, friendships, and aspirations, Long Run educates readers on the in and out of stock markets through a story set in the late 20th century.

By the end, the book successfully delivers an important lesson of striking the right balance between one's personal and professional life. This balance alone leads one to live a more fulfilling life.

Long Run oscillates between multiple timelines that gets confusing at certain points. It seemed that the jump is sudden and abrupt. However, it also manages its moderate pace throughout so once you are into the book, it is easier to settle down. I liked the character as well as the plot development that flows easily. But I am definitely not sure about the cover.

In a nutshell, if you like the stock market, investments, finance and would love to read about them all with the help of a fascinating story, pick Long Run!

Long Run: A Paradise Augmented narrates the riveting story of an ambitious young man who loses everything just when he had all the success that he ever wanted. It is a story that inspires but one that also warns. Coming with an urgent message on work-life balance and on treading the fine line between personal relationships and greed for success, it is a book that is fast-paced and relatable, serving loads of intrigue, drama, and entertainment.

Long Run: A Paradise Augmented is a contemporary romance fiction by author T. Sathish of around 200 pages. The main protagonist of the story is Raghu, a boy who dreams big and achieves them. From getting the desired college to getting the job he wanted, from working hard on a research paper to getting a luxurious life, he is eager to get the things he wants and he achieves them as well. But suddenly one day, his car crashes horrifically and he lost his sight! Will he be able to achieve his previous position and life back without his eyesight and will be able to get back into the relationships he was in with his loved ones whom he ignored when he was at the pinnacle? To know what happens next with him, read the book!

The book is written in different timelines and keeps shifting back and forth in the different life phases of the protagonist. Although in the starting, it feels a little odd and confusing, with time, it becomes the specialty of the book which gives it a different texture and holds the interest of the reader.

The writing style and language of the book are simple and thus, make it an easy read. There are some fun moments and punchlines in between the story which gives it a little humorous touch and makes the reading experience good.

The character that I loved the most in this story without any doubt is Ram, Raghu’s friend. He is simple, grounded, practical, and that one friend we all need, one who is harsh or bitter but gives true reality checks and breaks all the illusioned bubbles that are created by us. I totally loved his character, as it is something which we all can relate with.

But because the main protagonist belongs to an investment and financial field background, the major portion of the book has technicalities. Although it helps in getting to know the character more, it sometimes causes hindrance and if you are looking for a complete character, story, relationship, guidance, or life lesson driven story, it might leave you a little unsatisfied as the technicalities will come in between. Some scenes for which the background was built from the starting itself seem underwhelming to me when they come and I felt that if the emotions and point of view of Anuradha (aka Anu) and Ram have been there, it could have been great. Also, I felt that the ending was a little rushed and hurried and should have given more time.

Although the book definitely has inspiration and motivation factors, for me, the book worked because of how friendship has been shown here and I will remember this book because of this.

Raghu, the protagonist of this story, is a livewire investment manager. His career jumpstarted even before he passed out with an MBA from one of the best institutes in the country. He even has a girl by his side, who he loves. and they might get married soon too. Things look great with him becoming a partner at the firm in just a year. But life takes an unexpected and ugly turn when he meets with an accident that cripples him for life. How does Raghu climb back to the top despite his physical shortcomings? Does he end up getting married to the girl he fell in love with?

What I liked about the book:
-> Though the character is fictional, his story and his challenges make us feel that it's based on real-life.
-> It has everything: friendship, love, heartbreak, learning, rising from your downfall, and most importantly, how one's family and loved ones hold priority above anything else in life.
-> The theme is to tell us how important it is to strike a balance between personal and professional life. This comes across very nicely.
-> The author's idea to employ an interesting back-and-forth movie-like edit keeps us engaged.
-> The themes around life’s purpose and choices are tackled with nuance and without getting in the way of the narrative.
-> The book's biggest strength is in making its protagonist, Raghu, and the other characters feel real and relatable.


What I did not like about the book:
-> The sudden shifts in time spans can be confusing.
-> People who are not well versed with the stock and trading market may find the technical terms difficult to understand.

The author has done a wonderful job by introducing a kind of unique story and an amazingly written plot. The book is about Raghu, an investment manager. He was tasting incredible successes in his life. But when he was busy enjoying the spotlights of his successes, at the same time, some of his previous relationships had slid away. And then there was an incident that changed his whole life.

Will Raghu get out of the trauma of that accident? Or how will he deal with it when suddenly everything was snatched from his life?

The character is fictional but his story and his challenges are something that we feel that it's based on a real story, It's encouraging and motivational. The author gives us insights into how life is full of unexpected turns and how you can always find a way of solution to your struggles and you can too change your lives if you decide.

The language used in the book is simple and easy to understand. The cover stands out very much. It is quite tricky to actually touch the heart of the readers and the author surely did a good attempt at it. You just enjoy reading it out of curiosity and juiciness. I would let people buy their copy and judge. Grab this book if the blurb excites you.

📈 The anecdote begins with the life of a man who is wallowing in the glory of success in the stock market.

📈 His life took an unexpected turn after an incident and he becomes helpless. A good career, companion, but what if your life becomes as if you can't celebrate any of them!

📈 The story of the incidents was quite illogical. It took off like diving from one era to another and then relapsing to some other period. In this scenario, there was little particular time that should be there to comprehend easily.

📈 Nevertheless, the theme of those incidents and the market during those times were written well.


📈 The fiction strides between the past and the present life of the protagonist Raghu. The story, in the beginning, is a bit slow and after a while gets into the speed and the ending pages were unpredictable and quick to read! The ending was unexpected and it will give you goosebumps.

Long Run (A Paradise Augmented) by T. Sathish is indeed a terrific read of its own genre. It was so well-written, perfectly placed, and intense that I finally fell in love with the lead guy Raghu Santhanam. The novel is based on his professional life, he excelled as a stock market trader.
The novel has more than 2 timelines: stock market time, and the college life of Raghu, Ram, and Anu. Raghu was brilliant with studies and research. Anu was his girlfriend. They both loved each other but when Raghu climbed the ladder in the stock market industry and begin earning a lot of money, something got over him. He broke with Anu, and misbehaved with his own parents.
He was doing perfectly, making a lot of money, and that time was 90s when the sunrise sector of IT, Media, and Telecom was rising. But life has its own way. He meets with an accident, his eyesight is lost permanently.

The novel mainly shuttles between pre and post accident life. After the accident, he hopes to find meaning in his life. The way story shuttles between past and pre accident is interesting but also slightly confusing. Overall, it is a lovely novel with great message of hope and life to all of us.

There are books that are good for professional deveopment and then there are books that's good with the story and the plot,and the way author had managed to blend both of them in a way that actually makes sense and is intresting at the same part blew me away.

"Raghu Santhanam'' is the main character here and a wizard in the finance sector who had concurred many heights at a young age,but unfortunately had a serious accident and in the process he lost his sight.

The story is about how he fought with this inability and tried to regain the power and respect that he once had,and of course how can we forget Anu...his beloved who had a very crucial part in the story,though it wa short at first but....who knows?

Not just that it's much more than this,the past bonds that he had with others,the struggle one faces and the different choices they had made with their life that somewhere disturbed their relationship,the story had excellent side characters as well but the biggest page turner for me was the ending manh!!!!

The writing style was easygoing and simple,and it's written in a fast paced manner,the narration is done in Raghu's perspective and with details about stock market and finance this becomes much more appealing.The only thing that was not enough was the cover,idk but it just didn't give the same vibe as the story,otherwise this is nothing less than a masterpiece.

The story starts with Anjali getting a call to cover the story of Raghu Santhanam who manages portfolios of high net worth individuals. Raghu's life has been full of ups and down, boundaries that he wants to break and achieve success. With time, things starts settling until he met with an accident and he lost his eyesight.

With months of recovery and therapies, Raghu is back on his feet and is all set to become the best blind fun manager. Anjali who covers Raghu's story has he's unwell and wants to share his journey tries to solve the last clue. The clue of his love Anu.

Raghu's life has been charismatic with some amazing people in life. While trying to achieve heights in work he crosses the thin line of family values and love which with time he realises the big mistake he made.

The plot of the story is interesting and to the point. There's not a single dull moment. Narrated in different timelines, the author shares about Raghu's past and present, his aspirations and how he wanted to not follow the crowd. The sudden shifting narrative from past to present at times made it difficult to connect the dots.

Raghu's story is filled with challenges and unanswered questions. His strong will and determination to get back on his feet and the way he reacted in situations impressed me. All the characters are strong and well developed. We need a sister like Meghna, a friend like Ram to keep us grounded and a lover like Anu.

It's a story filled with drama, passion, friendship, love and challenges. You will witness the parents love and expectations here, relationship and love.

@sathishpgw in his book Long Run teaches us to not take a single person, a single thing for granted in life. With an impressive narrative and crisp writing style, the readers will witness the growth of the stock market over the years here.

The author leaves no stone unturned in explaining the concept, the work that Raghu does which I liked the most. It's a well-researched book and a light read, a rare combination to be honest.

#INSIGHT: Long Run is a story of Raghu, having tasted success in the stock market very early on, who meets with an accident and is visually handicapped afterwards. The story is about his life and the changes in it pre and post that accident and how he deals with it and rises from the phoenix.

#REVIEW: Long Run is a book which I thoroughly enjoyed reading. It had everything: friendship, love, heartbreak, learning etc. The theme of the story was to show how important it is to strike a balance between personal and professional life. This balance was also very clearly shown in the book by giving equal weightage to Raghu's personal and professional life. The book was mainly divided into three time phases and the story juggled between them. The way knowledge about the stock markets of the 1990's and 2000's is commendable. I was not bored for a single minute.

#STRENGTH: 1. The storyline was fantastic and well thought of.
2. The book is very well written with an over the top writing style which kept me engaged till the end.
3. The climax came as a surprise to me.
4. The language was easy and understandable and the pace was constant the whole time.
5. The title did justice to the concept.

#WEAKNESS: 1. The cover page didn't do justice with the content the book gave. Had the Author given more thought to it, the impact could have been different altogether.
2. The sudden shifts in time spans confused me in the beginning but once the rhythm was set, I was good to go.
3. People not having any idea about the stock market may find the technical terms difficult to understand.

Long Run ( A Paradise Augmented) written by T. Sathish. Before saying anything, i must add that I've read 5 books in 2022 so far, and this stands the best among all & hit my personal list of all-time fav books. This book has all the elements; love, heartbreaks, failure, success, and episodes of the stock market.

Raghu, the lead character of this book is all that you can learn from. Early age success and his bold decisions. From leaving the offer of a big shot company just in order to dwell into a start-up and from being self-centric to turning mature after some major turns in his life ( I just don't wanna give u any spoiler here).

Personally, the way Raghu's character has been written, i can totally relate to it. Like, his filmy andaaz without even showing efforts like singing Kishore Kumar songs for his Love no matter how stressful the situations may. To achieve so much in a very early stage of life.

I was fascinated with the unique plot of writing about life priorities indirectly through some really interesting fictional characters that look totally real.

Even the conversation between Raghu & Annu was dope! Of course, like; humour, drama & maturity was being written perfectly fine. Even the Raghu's friend was something like; Maza aagya padhke.

I need to say, there were some points that were not that emotional, but even some silent understanding or love between Raghu & Annu made me smile with awwww moments.

Of course, there were some technical stock market terms that people may not understand much. But still, you'll enjoy reading this book.

Lastly, the author has shown his writing skills at their best. This is how you write a fiction book! Real, raw emotions, story of greed and so on.

A blind fund guru narrates his life story of success, love, loss and redemption in LONG RUN by T Sathish.

Long Run by T Sathish attracted me because of the “Matrix” movie style cover. Then the subtitle “A Paradise Augmented” had me further intrigued. So, I decided to give this book a try and I am so glad I did!

I was so pleasantly surprised, sat engrossed all through the book and then was left shocked at the end!

I loved the underlying sense of anticipation and mystery surrounding the life of Raghu and then loved how the author pieced together the narrative. The excitement of the journalist to finally interview a man who beat all odds to succeed and about whom not much is known sets the stage for the readers. So, I sat intrigued to know more about this market genius.

The story jumps between the past and the present. Then the characterisation is splendidly done and the pace maintained with a suspense that keeps the readers hooked throughout.

All in all, Long Run by T Sathish is a book that will surprise you and leave you a fan. With an unreliable narrator, an active listener, and a story with twists and turns, this book packs a punch and will leave your mouth hanging open in the end!

So, 4 out of 5 stars to this splendid reality fiction and Njkinny recommends this inspiring book to everyone. Especially if you are someone interested in the share market and intrigued by the IT boom in India then you will love the insights into that time provided in this book.

The plot revolves around Raghu, an immensely successful investment banker who is living his best life, filled with excitement, romance, glamour and what not! But a horrifying accident, and Raghu has his entire life overturned and in shambles.Will he be able to survive an accident, lose of his vision and find his true purpose in life?

If I have to sum up my feelings for this book then I will say: Top notch plot!
T Sathish's writing is fabulous, the story is masterfully serves up perfect blend of drama and character arc that kept me glued to the pages.
It was such well balanced narrative, and there were so many surprising moments of wisdom that resonated with me.
The other unique aspect of the book, is that the professional investing aspects of 90's is also inculcated in the plot which made the narrative even more interesting.

Raghu was amazing, his journey was a sight to behold. His professional growth and emotional growth throughout the book inspiring on a practical level.What made it a more relevant tale is that it's reveals fundamental truths of facing hardships.
I was moved by it.
I was inspired by it.

The story as whole gives a beautiful message and truly opens our eyes that we can't let crippling circumstances to limit our aspirations our dreams. It also shows real appreciation and understanding of friendships and relationships in life.
And that end OMG it was so beautifully crafted , the Beatle lyrics gave me chills!
It was quite a bittersweet profound ending to an inspiring story but indeed BEAUTIFUL.

Honestly Pick up this delightful novel right away as it offers perfect escapism for everyone!

Title : Title will make us ponder what is that about long run? Who wants to run long for success? It instils curiosity amongst the readers.
Cover page : Cover page is really promising. It speaks about a man who wants to achieve something whatever it takes.
Plot/Story : A renowned journalist gets a call from her senior to write biography about a famous personality. Thrilled to hear the news she at once visit’s the adobe of Raghu , a business tycoon , a go-getter who has a brilliant mind and who is on a journey to make it big.
Unfortunately Raghu meets with an accident which makes him differently abled, not deterred by that he continues to climb up the ladder of success.
However , considering the degrading condition of his health , he now wants someone to write his story. But he is not able to re-collect the story in a particular sequence. The writer must understand and connect the dots.
The story is about the different stages of his life , where he meets his love, plans his venture , makes day and night together to work , his bond with the best friends and then the betrayal.
The story line is amazing and readers are glued till the end of the story.
Characterization is perfect and it is inspiring to read about the way our protagonist Raghu leads his life.

Raghu Santhanam, known as 'The blind fund guru' took is his retirement during his fifties and now he wanna narrate is life story before he loses it all. Anjali from The Eco-financial times meets him and listens his story. This book is about his life from his JAT preparation, his college life, friends, relationship, successful career, accident and the life after the accident. Raghu met Anu at NIM, Chennai. They became good friends and then entered into relationship. They were happy couples till he tasted huge success in his career. During that time he met with an accident and he lost his sight. That was turning point and he started realising many things. This book talks about how he became a successful fund manager with his disabilities.

Long Run is an amazing book which talks about strong bond of friendship, importance of each people in your life, importance of investing time with the people in your life, second chances, how to become successful with disabilities and so on. In most part of this book, author talks about stock marketing and funds. As I'm not a person with those numbers, it was little bit boring for me(only those parts) but other than that I really loved the story.

The cover is very much apt to the story. I liked the writing style too. Author managed to narrate the pre-accident life and post-accident life parallely. It could keep the readers engaged into the book. Recommended for all bookworms.

Before coming to the book I want to say that author has introduced a unique story in this genre and it’s a blend of reality and fiction. Coming to the book plot, it revolves around the stock market in the twentieth century. This book is a thrilling story about Raghu, who is obsessed with world finance. The author appears to be well-versed in the stock market and investment funding. In his twenties, Raghu was interested in the stock market, finances, and investments. And he was having a great time. His earnings were substantial, and he lived a happy life. He meets with an accident that left him visually disabled after achieving consistent success in the field of trading early in his life. This book is an Inspiring fictional story with a package of financial, management, and life lessons. Overall the story of how this encounter impacts his life and what leads him to that deadly accident is told in this book.Title and cover of the book depicts the story line and looks attractive respectively. I really loved the book and I must say this book is really a page turner. I really appreciate author for introducing such a thrilling experience through this story. I highly recommend this book to everyone out there.

My rating is actually 4.5 out of 5. This book held my attention right from the first page to the last. The author has narrated the events in pieces of varying time frames that go back and forth. This keeps the reader hooked throughout. I can understand why the author desisted from using a linear design. If he had done that the story would not be half as entertaining or enthralling as it is now. Another thing I would like to mention is that in spite of the narrative style, the story unfolds quite clearly without any confusion. The only issue I can point out is, appreciating this story requires a nominal understanding of finance. For example the abbreviation HNI which incidentally stands for High Net Worth Individuals is quite often used. Some people may not know or understand what that means. But that is nit-picking. Almost every thing is crystal clear and the title and cover of the book do clearly suggest that some basic understanding of finance is needed which most people would have. I loved the ending. This story would definitely stay stay with me for some time to come. Kudos to the author!

I thoroughly enjoyed the book and completed reading it end to end in a single day - it is gripping story. Few aspects of the book and story telling that I loved -
1. Characters in story are so relatable and well established that in 1-2 chapters it seemed as if I am reading a real life incidents with real life characters that I know.. narration makes the characters real & relatable
2. The style of moving into 2 different time periods - past & present makes it quite interesting
3. Language is simple with short sentences.. but it creates good effective drama
4. Life lessons are impressively shared with readers without preaching.. Many readers would have gone through these difficult choices and relationships.
5. Most importantly, it gives hope, positivity and highlights power of determination.

I definitely recommend this book for readers. Looking forward for the next one from T Sathish !!

Life is not filled with only hunky dory rides . There are times when we feel everything going as per our whims and fancies and suddenly something happens which shatters all our dreams and aspirations. Similar situation was faced by Raghu, around whom this riveting tale is based.

The novel starts with the lavish lifestyle of the protagonist. He seems to have hit the jackput at a very young age. Share market has been quite loyal to him . But out of the blue he gets involved in a terrible accident which entirely turn around his life. In the process he loses his eyesight and his vision in both literal and figurative sense. The real story begins from here.

The book is written quite well. With huge chunk of jargons devoted to stock market it gives a fair bit of idea about how that world works though would have been better had the author devoted some lines to ease the comprehension so that even the amaetur can understand the meaning of some of those technical terms. The way the tale moves back and forth in the time spans is not very effortless to be honest and sometimes it plays to your nerve. Though one feels for Raghu and get inspired by his journey by the end of the story.

Overall a well informative read with shades of poignance.

The Book Is Divided in to Twenty Five Chapters. The Plot Moves Forward Gradually with an Each Chapter. Story Revolves Around Raghu Santhanam. The Protagonist of the Story Is Interested in Finance and Study. It Has Mention of Financial Markets, Study, Finance, Interviews and Such Topics.
Raghu Is Attending One Interview and After the Interview, He Meets with His Friend, Anu. Both of Them Chit Chat for a While and Then Part Ways. with the Passing Time, Their Friendship Develops a Lot. Author tried to show how a visually challenged people perform tasks as many think as they can't do anything as they feel useless of their situation but in the story it was totally different how Raghu did the thing is quite amazing.The supportive nature of author through the novel I like it much.
The Protagonist of the Story, Raghu Santhanam, Himself, Is Telling His Whole Life Journey in the First Person in the Book.
The Language of the Book Is Rich. the Writing Style of the Book Is Fast - Paced. the Cover of the Book Is Captivating.
A well narrated story, the experience, was like watching a movie, the climax was the ultimate. Some part of the book, make you understand, the real purpose of life.
I Enjoyed Reading the Book. The Story is An Engaging Read. The Story has many Twists and Turns.

Long Run by T. Sathish revolves around the life of Raghu Santhanam, an investment manager. Raghu was living a good life. He was a bright student and had completed his MBA degree from one of the reputed institutes of the country. Not only does he have his girlfriend Anu but also his family by his side. Within a year of working at the firm, Raghu had become one of their partners. But then a tragic incident happened, and everything went haywire.

What happened to Raghu? Will he be able to recover from the incident? Read the book to know more.

The story of Long Run is very inspirational and heartwarming. The writing style is simple, and the language used in the book is easy to understand. I liked the way the author has crafted the character of Raghu. He might be a fictional character, but the challenges and hardships he faced in the book felt very real and relatable.

There were a few things that I didn't like in the book. One of them is the heavy use of technical terms used in the stock market. I am not well versed with the terms, so I skipped some of the technical parts of the book. Secondly, there are sudden time jumps in the book which is very confusing. Thirdly, the book cover does not justify the story and could have been different. Finally, the ending came as a surprise to me. I was not expecting that climax, and it would have been better if it was a bit different.

All in all, 'Long Run - A Paradise Augmented' is an okay read. I would recommend this book to readers who are interested in reading realistic fiction.

“Long Run: A Paradise Augmented” by T Sathish is a gripping tale that has all necessary elements like glamour, suspense ,romance and drama to thrill readers in every possible way.

Divided into twenty five chapters, the book revolves around a character named Raghu Santhanam. Raghu Santhanam by any yardstick or parameters has kissed success which all of us crave for, he’s young with strong professional profile and a loving girlfriend with whom he’s soon going to tie a knot. But this euphoria gets subsided all of a sudden by an unfortunate accident. This is when the story picks up a pace; rendered helpless by the accident Raghu now tries to collect the snippets from his past with the help of a journalist. Will he be able to weave his story or will he get lost in abstractness of memories? To know more grab a copy of “Long Run” and see how the story of his life materialises.

Overall, written in a simple and lucid language with strong characters and engrossing plot, “Long Run” is a riveting fast paced read that keeps readers hooked till the end. No where does it appears artificial or overstretched, the characters and story remains coherent and consistent throughout.

An eloquent storyline begins with a happy moment of Raghu, an investment manager where all desires come true, everything available in abundance.

When possession becomes more than required, it gives an enjoyment feel to the fullest, while doing so unexpected incident takes place, his immobile body and lost vision, completely change the dynamics from happy to unhappy smearing with hopeless context.

While spirit, will power are strong enough to overcome challenges and to answer many unanswered questions, the author has illustrated the context in an adequate framework with creative narration.

The style of writing, the language, the pace and the electrifying storyline really mesmerize the reader to turn the page.

I liked it.

There is a lot to like this book. It is easy to be drawn in by the storyline and the characters And its a pretty fast read. The portrayal of the event and the relationships were pretty accurately done. I really felt a connection with each of the characters. The book revolves around Raghu, his rich to rags and rags to rich story. The book is full of emotion (love,heartbreak,betrayal etc etc). The author paint a perfect picture of financial world. Very well written with addictive plot and vivid characters description and development. A really good fun read. Long Run is a superb novel.

The story is of Raghu Santhanam who was called as ‘Rags’ or ‘Pasta’ by his close family and friends. He was a hardworking and dedicated student who got admission in NIM. From there he developed interest in financial markets and one report with his friend Ram changed the course of his life.

I would not say this is the story of ‘Rags’ to riches, I hope you get the pun. Raghu, when he gets involved in the stock market the worldly riches and shimmer blinds did not realise the importance of those around him and when they try to make him realise, he finds all of them a barrier in his success and freedom. The author tries to convey the message that one should realise the true importance of people and never put money over them.

There is a lot of insight on how the stock market works and when it was still a new concept. The internet boom and Harshad Mehta scam were the recent big buzz. The story line starts from around 1996 when Raghu is in his early twenties and ends with his fifties.

The story begins with Anjali who works for Eco financial times and on his boss orders interviews with Raghu, who is now the blind fund Guru. The story follows a timeline and there is a lot of to and fro in it. Sometimes we are talking about his college days and other times after the accident.

The characters are well developed like Ram, his best friend, his sister Megna and his love Anu. The second half of the story revolves around Anu, whom he has lost because he was so lost in his glory and now is running to get her back. Then there is the role of his doctor Anita.

I found the second half of the story a little slow paced or maybe because my patience grew thin to know what happened with Anu and Raghu. The story is overall engrossing and entertaining. The lively Raghu who loves Kishore Kumar and is in love is my favourite part of the novel. Overall, I liked the story plot a lot.

Employing an interesting back-and-forth movie-like edit, Satish keeps his readers engaged and propels Raghu's story forward. Deeper themes around life’s purpose and choices are tackled with nuance and without getting in the way of the narrative. After the web series SCAM -1992 stock market and trading became popular between youngsters which bring tsunami in the world of stock market. In the mean time this book is based on the life events of a visually impaired The blind fund guru.

People after losing an organ became under confident and doesn't have the courage to face the reality but Raghu overcome his fear. After the accident he doesn't lose his confidence but used that in a better way.

The life events of Raghu is enrouted through Anjali who is a correspondent of financial market in The Ecofinancial times Newspaper. Raghu wamted to share his life with the people before something happened to him.

This is not only about his success but his mates Anu,Ram and his team which made him the Fund guru. His life before accident and after accident is explained respectively. The terms of stock market is also cleared throughout the story.

The explanation of stock market and how it works can be a little boring btut it's needed to understand the story better. The main off for me is the sequence of times. It's do confusing to understand the timeline. But after I understand th story I can easily comprehend.

If you want to read about stock market but in not so boring way then it's for you. The terms are well explained with the ongoing story which makes it engaging and interesting. The bond of friendship, trust, love is like fritters with tea. It's going to be a ride stock market with a Emotional turmoil of Raghu's life. It's motivating, knowledgeable with roller coaster of emotions.
