Hi, my name is Kable VonSable. I own a local shop and I'm a practicing Chaotian. That's a Chaos magic user for those that don't know. I live in City 7, Southeast, United States. My shop, Tea Leaves and Tomes, also sells potions and other things. If you're ever in town you should stop by.
My cousin Dorian is turning 30 and things are going well. I've been consulting with the Chaotian Investigation Division, giving magic lessons to my hot detective, and finding new powers along the way. Until...my ghost best friend went radio silent, my hot detective went cold, and our takers turned into givers.
So, what happens when you combine a Chaos witch, anime robberies, a murder trial, and crazy magic? A mad ride chasing Chaos.
MJ grew up reading books, digging for dinosaur bones, and running wild through an enchanted forest with her first and best friend. She loves the misfits, the Chaos driven, the magical, the macabre, the unique, the rebels, the ones who dance under the moon, and the healers. Resides in SmallTowne, USA with her own family of misbegotten misfits - some of blood and others of soul. and we are always in search of the next fantastic adventure.
Chasing Chaos is the second in the series that I have read by MJ Hutto. Featuring some of my favourite characters from the first one and introducing some new ones too, this is a worthy sequel that really had me entertained.
Kable VonSable's second chaotic adventure has all the grimdark elements of the first, but goes a bit deeper into the supernatural, really forcing the reader to suspend their grip on reality. What I loved most were these darker elements and the mystery of that unfolded. There were some really high tempo sections that were well crafted by the author and the chaos certainly reigned in the later sections of the book. I have a few questions and imagine they will be answered in what comes next for Sable.
This series is one that I am interested in watching develop as the writing is friendly yet professional, which is something I really liked as it drew me in close. I'm looking forward to the next one.
