And If that wasn’t bad enough, Elliot was kicked off the investigation for having threatened the deceased. And do you know where that threat landed the handsome detective? the series was cute and had several parts that made me smile. i just hate the whole virtual voice narration in audiobooks. it takes away from the story to me.
Billie and Elliott are at a party for their engagement, it is larger than either of them wanted. Billie meets some interesting people, including a man that gets Elliott riled up. She has never seen him loose his cool like that. Billie decides to find Elliott, the man Elliott can't stand falls on her. Billie decides she will investigate what happened to this man. She also needs to find time to plan her wedding as well. There is still the issue with Iona, they haven't figured out what the next step will be.
There are some interesting twists and turns in this story. I really enjoyed my time in Glimmerspell. You will not realize who committed the crime until the end. I really love the characters in this book. I am not sure why her ex-husband and his wife are there for. I recommend reading this book, it was really a lot of fun.

It's an exciting time for Billie. She's newly engaged to the love of her life, Elliot. There's an engagement party for them at one of the local restaurants. There are people there that Billie doesn't even know and one of them, unfortunately, meets their demise. Billie is never one to step away from finding out the truth even though it often gets her in trouble. As Billie is planning for her wedding, complications arise. Elliot, may be forced into a decision he doesn't want to make to ensure peace between the two, very different, vampire factions. Will Billie get her happily ever after or her not so happy never-after... Love this series but know that each book can be read as a standalone! I love the two newest series by one of my favorite authors, Addison Moore. Glimmerspell is great and so is the Cruising through Midlife: Cruise Ship Mystery series!.

This is probably one of my favorite series by this author. I love the dynamics between the characters, and I think its hilarious how Billie keeps jumping back and forward in time taking people along with her. Billie and Elliot are engaged! Yay! Except so is Iona, his ex… Not only did she let the enemy change her into a vampire too, she also got engaged to him. Its also hilarious about how Billie and Elliot’s kids who are also dating are horrified and being told by others that Royce is Harlow’s “hillbilly husband”…. I laughed so hard at that. The last couple of chapters were a bit scary since it seems their engagement might be off…. BUT I am not going to spoil what happens! Just know that all ends well!
Absolutely great story and cant wait to see what happens next in Glimmerspell.
Billie and Elliot are engaged! The engagement party for them will be celebrated at a local restaurant. But oddly enough, the place is packed with people Billie doesn’t know. Then more excitement arises when a guest, Neville Crenshaw, keels over dead! You can count on Billie not walking away from something like this! She throws herself into the investigation, despite having plenty to do planning her wedding. And something is going on with Elliot that might not have pleasant results.
Grab your copy of this wonderful mystery and see if Billie can get everything figured out. Will the wedding plans continue smoothly? Or are we going to see some big troubles come their way? The vampires do seem restless. Lots of twists and turns will keep you guessing every step of the way!
I was so caught up in the story that this book went by in a blink. At no point was I able to outthink the mystery and the whole thing took several sharp turns I didn’t see coming. I had so much fun watching Billie once again unmask a murderer, and I’m loving these opportunities to get to know the quirky residents of Glimmerspell better. I may have only just finished reading, but I’m already feeling a little antsy to find out what’s going to happen next. I received a complimentary copy of this book through Booksprout.
When Billie and Elliot pictured their engagement party, I don’t think they imagined it would be to die for. As emotions run high, and Elliot shows a new side leading to him to being banned from the investigation, Billie takes it upon herself to solve the mystery and bring a killer to justice. Oh and hopefully find time to plan a wedding and stop another. This is one of those series you pick it up and can’t put it down until the last page. I think this might be one of my favorite series to date by Addison!
I was completely blown away by the fantastic characters in this series. Watching Billie and Eliot interact while solving the mystery was hilarious, entertaining and a real page turner. There were some surprises thrown in to make this great read even greater; however, I feel the book is worth reading over and over as a true favorite.

Midnight in Glimmerspell is book four in the Hot Flash Homicides series. I am loving this series. This is a page turning murder mystery of a guest at Billie and Elliot's engagement party. From the humor, romance, and unexpected paranormal twists to the well written and descriptive writing this is a page turning read. I look forward to reading more books by this author in the future. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
Billie and Elliot are surprised at how many people are at their engagement party. When one of the guests drops dead, Billie decides to investigate. I love where Billie’s hot flashes time travels take her. Lots of twists and turns made this a great read. I very much enjoy this series. Loved this book and found a great new author!! This book had me laughing, crying and gasping all the time. I loved the characters as they seemed so real and relatable. I couldn't put it down...finished it in one day!!! Perfect balance of mystery, romance and comedy. You definitely need to read this book.
Double homicides involving, of all things, possibly, funeral home owners.
This book leaves everything open-ended as far as the conflict between the two vampire clans, since both potential “queens” for the Faulkners are still in play.
May not be the most sophisticated mystery I have ever read but this is a solid cozy series that I enjoyed reading for 4 books- with about 1,000 books read last year and several thousand more on my tbr horizon for 2023, devoting any time to this series is an endorsement all its own.
Addison Moore certainly casts a spell on her readers with this one. The tale she wove was like a labyrinth that kept me guessing to the end, on how Billie Buttonwood's fate would be met. You get a bit of everything in this well-written story- murder, romance, comedy, thrills, and chills.
I just can't get enough of this author's books. In this one, we get more of Billie and Elliott. There's fun, excitement and mystery. The author has done another amazing job bringing to life an intriguing story that keeps you guessing and engaged from beginning to end.
I love this series along with the humor scattered throughout even with a couple of murders thrown into the bunch. I'm also so happy for Eliot and Billie! I really hope we get to see them and Glimmerspell again!
Somehow Addison Moore manages to cram two murders and two separate weddings with the same groom into this fast paced mystery! Oh, and also a nefarious undertaker who makes a fortune not cremating the bodies he deals with.
I wanted to cry for Billie and there is so much more I can't wait to find out about Iona and what this means for coven. Hoping I won't have to wait too long for another book to appear in this series. Love the characters!
What a twist! I could not put the book down. So thankful for an author who does not feel the need to add smutt to her story. This book had me experiencing all the emotions.
Wow. What an amazing book. I absolutely loved it. I couldn't put it down. Such a great storyline and the characters really had me into this story. Addison. Rocks
I really enjoyed this story. All of the hot flashes are way too familiar. Thank goodness I don't disappear when I have mine. I love a surprise happy ending.
