While murder is truly a horrendous act, and unthinkable to the majority of people, there have always been those who embraced the act of murder for their own gain, whether that be monetary, or to rid oneself of a human irritant, and within these pages the reader will find some of worst monsters and their stories from many decades ago. True Crime Seven are very fine group of authors, delivering these cases to the reader with integrity. Definitely a must have addition to the reader's library.
This is the fourth book of the series that I have read. I again enjoyed the stories which are written in an easily understood style. Each book covers a different decade. True crime enthusiasts will enjoy this book. The only reason that I gave the book four stars rather than five is that I would have preferred the book have pictures. I will read the rest of the series.
This volume covers twelve true crime cases including the baffling murder of Julia Wallace. You'll also find the Buck Ruxton case in which Dr. Buck Ruxton murdered his wife and the maid and chopped them up into little pieces. It was appropriately labeled the Jigsaw Murders.
Once again I am very impressed with these authors! They are able to tell a story without their own opinions getting in the way. To me that’s important to just let the facts be known…. I can’t wait for the next read!1
This book was a collection of true crime murders from the 1930s. Some were so unbelievable that it is amazing the culprit was even able to get away with it at all! Definitely an interesting read and a quick read at that.
Very good I do love reading about the past this last story was kinda weird. It's amazing how back then people just weren't paid too much attention of who is coming and going. And no camera s back then
A time that should’ve been simpler but many things were much more complicated. I love the history an this book had many stories and people I had not heard about previously and this made the stories even better. One of my favorite true crime books
