[Oybek - Aibek - Aybek - Aybak - آيبيك] is a nickname; his real name is Musa Toshmuhammedov.
He is a prominent representative of 20th-century Uzbek literature, a poet, scientist and public figure, was born in the family of a local weaver.
After graduating from high school 1922-1925. studied at the Tashkent College of Education and Parenting. After technical school, Aybek entered the Central Asian State University (the current National University of Uzbekistan) at the Faculty of Humanities. In 1930, he began his teaching career at his university, giving lessons in social economics.
Aybek's first work, which opened the way for him to literature, was a collection of poems "Emotions" published in 1926. Aybek's poems are light and airy on a variety of topics.
In 1949 he went on a trip to Pakistan. He sings in his essay Recollection of Pakistan, in the story In Search of the Light, describes the life and aspirations of a kindred nation.
In 1963, the autobiographical novel "Children's Memoirs" was released, where the author tells in detail about his life path.
Aybek was not only a writer, public figure, but also engaged in translations. He translated into Uzbek the novel in verses "Eugene Onegin", "Masquerade" and many works of classical and ancient literature.
Aybek became a member of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan in 1943 and until 1950 was chairman of the humanities at the Academy and first secretary of the Association of Writers of Uzbekistan.
