I received an ARC of this book from the author. I think this may be my favorite Silver Brothers Securities story yet. Tristan is irresistible and Allie is presented as his perfect mate; he seems to be aware of it, while she denies it to herself for fear of being hurt. Allie was initially introduced in Billionaire Trifecta, when her partner and best friend Laura met James Silver. That will come up later in this story.
Allie is driven by a desire for vengeance toward someone she witnessed (as a child) hurting her mother, and as a result, destroying their lives. Silver Securities has access to all kinds of information so Tristan knows what happened before she ever tells him. He presents her with the opportunity to slake her need for vengeance, while gently guiding her toward making the moral choice. He gives her the option of exacting her revenge or trusting him to achieve justice through legal means, all the while doing so in a non-judgmental manner. He understands how it feels to be driven by a desire for revenge and says, “I know what revenge feels like. It starts tight in your chest and squeezes until nothing else matters except changing that trajectory. You don’t experience vengeance’s wrath until it’s too late because it’s choking you. And all this time, all you needed was a change, Allie. Let me be that change for you. Revenge will come on its own.” It’s just another reason for Allie (and the reader) to fall for Tristan.
To be perfectly honest, I had to stop reading at one point because the subject matter became too disturbing for me. It’s not that it was described gratuitously, but it definitely took the reader into the world of people like Jeffrey Epstein. In fact, the lead villain is named Jeff and there was talk of his private island where he transported some of the girls. The “auction” really creeped me out. I suppose this is a testament to the writing because it seemed so real to me.
The story ends on a cliffhanger. Ugh! I wasn’t expecting that. On the one hand, I was furious, but on the other, I felt excited that there will be another book focused on Tristan and Allie because I’d be happy to read about their relationship indefinitely. I can’t wait for the next book in the series!

I am very angry with this book. I heard about Silver's secret on tik tok. I checked on Goodreads like a respected reader that I am and it was advertised like a standalone (it wasn't specified that this book belonged to any series). I started reading it and was confused with what was happening. Then after some more research I find that this Tristan and Allie's story features a duet and the first book was this one. This got me really mad but still I will try to review this book as objective as possible.
The main characters had an interesting dynamics. From the first moment they meet I knew that this is going to be a hell of a book.
So basically there is this security and P.I. firm named Silver security that is known and respected by everyone. They work to destroy human trafficking rings. They also helped police with information 😃🤔🤔🤔. This is really hard to believe. Where I live the security guards are usually retired people with usually no training in police or military. They would stay at an exit of a store and caught shoplifters.(they rarely do caught them). Anyway an police agent, Allie Green was also trying to destroy some Human trafficking rings. When Tristan Silver, the owner of the company, see Allie, he is not so convinced that she is capable of that.
“Get out of here!” I yelled, heading across the room to the cop.
“Hey, you!” She pointed the gun at me. “What do you think you’re doing?”
“I’m saving you from embarrassment.”
“They’re getting away!”
Let's just say that not long after he offered her a job. And surprisingly she accepted it. They goal is to find Kendra, one of Tristan's family member who was kidnapped by one of this rings.

Lacey Silks continues her Silver Securities series with Silver’s Pawn. This edition features Tristan and Allie. Allie has a goal: to avenge her mother by killing Wright. At the tender age of 10, Dave Wright rapes Allie's pregnant mother while Allie is hiding under the stairs. The rape caused Peg to miscarry. Now, at 25, she is a police officer and lives with her best friend, Laura. Laura is a single mother and refuses to tell the baby’s father and her family about Fox. During a meeting at work, Tristan Silver appears, and Allie recognizes him from an encounter earlier in the week when she found a group of people in the basement of a burned-down club. Tristan has been searching for Kendra since she was abducted. Silver Securities is hiring.
Tristan insists on Allie working at Silver Securities. He knows she will make a perfect candidate for retrieving Kendra from a human trafficking ring that Hartley has been operating. However, an ulterior motive exists for Allie. Tristan and Allie find themselves attracted to each other and unable to deny that they want to have a relationship. Tristan takes Allie into the mountains and shows her the house that Wright lives in. He asks her to help get Kendra free, and he will take down Wright. As an assurance, he moves Peg to his parent's home for safekeeping.
Allie and her mother were always paranoid because Wright’s delusional fantasy made him a stalker. They kept moving, and he would find them. As a sheriff in their small town prior to the rape, hiding was almost impossible. And reporting the rape wouldn’t have helped because he was the law. Tristan’s connection to Hartley was tragic, as his deceased fiance was Hartley’s daughter, Simone. I found Tristan’s devotion borderline smothering. However, Allie was quite capable of holding her own. Again, the unpredictable direction the story takes held me captive. I am definitely continuing this series.

This is definitely a book for a more mature audience. It goes into detailed sexual content very early on. Also, there are darker themes presented throughout the book. The smut content was fun to read and all the different characters that appear and play larger roles in other books were enjoyable to read about. Even though it’s part of a larger series, Allie and Tristan’s story is a duology, so there’s a bit of a cliffhanger. Overall, more smut than plot, but I would read the rest of the saga if I had an opportunity to do so.

I enjoyed this story as much as the first, after a while skipping off the sex scenes, there were a lot. There's plenty of suspense and I'm really liking Emma's character.
He warned, the story ended with me wanting to start the next book straight away.

GREAT STORY
Tristan had a hard time dealing with the death of Simone. Then he met Allie Green and knew, she was she one to get him out of his grief. With the jobs that they both had, things got scary at times. So many close calls.

I didn't hate it but something didn't quite gel for me. But it came close to being very good. I wish I was better at working out what didn't work for me because I really feel this could have been a favourite of mine with a few tweaks.

Looking for a good story full of action and heat then Allie and Tristan’s story in Silver’s Pawn is a must read. However, I must forward warn you that it ends with a cliffhanger. But you will be chopping at the bits to discover how this story really ends or does it ??

OMG, loved this read. So much danger, lies, and romance. Couldn't put this book down until finished. This book was a page-turner. The only thing I was upset with, was a cliffhanger.

Tristan, partner in a security firm, and Allie, a rookie cop, have a less than fortuitous first meeting. As the story progresses a second meeting goes slightly better than the first, an offer is made, and a change of scenery may derail the momentum they have been gathering. Lacey Silks dropped the reader into the deep end of an emotional investigation that will have a number of twists secrets. I am wondering just how much more this family can take before they break, since it seems they just can’t seem to get away from the speeding train headed their way.

Yes, there is a cliff hanger but OMG, what an amazing, sexy, suspenseful, erotic ride. From the first moment that Allie Green and Tristan Cross meet, the sparks fly and the chemistry is off the charts. For Tristan, he needs Allie’s help with an investigation which has Allie intrigued but can maintain a professional relationship and deny her attraction to Tristan. Tristan is doing everything he can to convince Allie to work for him – he needs her expertise to find/save someone. Allie really wants to work for Tristan so she can find/destroy someone from her past. The banter/dialogue between Tristan and Allie is witty, flirty and electrically charged. The element of suspense as Allie prepares and then goes undercover to find/rescue Tristan's friend will keep you glued to the page/screen. Really loved the chemistry between Allie and Tristan which generates incredible sex scenes … even in the boxing ring! Anxiously awaiting the next installment … need to know how the conversation ends. I voluntarily read an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.

I'm not really liking Lacey Silks after reading Silver's Pawn. Teehee!!! I hated the ending, but can't wait for the next Silver's Secret. In my opinion gives you everything suspense, mystery, heartache, steam and a major twist at the end. I will forewarn you it does end in a cliffhanger which I hate. I'm not sure where the story will go in Silver's Secret, but I have feeling Lacey Silks will not let me down. I did figure a couple of things early, but I did not see the ending coming. WOW!!! I loved Allie, Laura and Foxy. I adored Emma and enjoyed and the Silver family. I'm not liking Tristan right now. Allie is strong, intelligent and a fighter. I have bad feelings on the twist at the end, I have a feeling I might know where it's going. We will see. Tristan is strong and has been dealt a bad hand but I don't like how he handled it. The one thing I really like about Tristan is his loyalty and protective side. I voluntarily read and reviewed and advanced reader's copy.

Well the follow up to Silver's Rebel does not disappoint however be prepared going in that you are getting a big cliffhanger ending. This series revolves around Silver Securities and the family members that own it. Silver's Pawn is Tristan's story and this is definitely a good one. He has hired police officer Allie Green (we met her briefly in Silver's Rebel) to help track down Kendra (also from Silver's Rebel) and as much as he tries to keep his distance from her, the heart wants what the heart wants. Allie will have to go undercover in the twisted world of human trafficking to find the information that they need but she needs information as well and will do anything necessary. I really enjoyed this story until I got to the end! I do not like waiting but in this case I will because I need to know what happens next for Tristan and Allie. Their story was told from dual POV and was loaded with heat, action and plenty of drama.

Allie didn't expect to meet a billionaire on the job, and in a derelict building no less, but she can certainly use the resources he has to get her closer to the revenge she craves. So, when Tristin Silver offers her a job she jumps at the chance to work for his security company. Tristin had no idea when he hired Allie Green, the rookie cop, to help him find a missing client that she would become more than just a pawn helping to bring down a sinister and powerful group of men.
I love these characters. They're all well written, of course, but they are also compelling and unique. Exciting, suspenseful and sizzling hot romance with an unexpected and surprising twist in the plot. I'm already looking forward to the next book in this series.

This story is so hot, so steamy and so full of action, secrets, despicable villains and sexy heroes that I'll even forgive it the "when's the next story going to be available? I can't wait!" cliffhangers in the last couple of chapters.
Many of the characters from the first story are still around and Kendra still needs rescuing, but the attention has moved to yet another sexy, "silver" fox from the Silver Security organization and a sexy but vulnerable former cop who catches his eye and turns out to be the perfect "pawn" to bring down the sex-trafficking organization the Silvers have a personal interest in bringing to justice.
There are all sorts of sub-plots and supporting characters but I didn't have any problem keeping them all sorted out and I'm dying to know how it all works out ... so, where is that next novel?

Unpredictable, dark and intense romance
It's a bit of a harsh episode due to the position of the heroine Allie getting close to Tristan, who hires her to be undercover to infiltrate a criminal human trafficking group.
The subject is not very cheerful, but despite this, the story is moving and intense between them.
Add to this the reasons why Allie accepts and the entanglement of each other between the cases, the characters.
The story is complex and unpredictable from start to finish, and while part of the previous tome comes to an end, there is still a mouth-watering cliffhanger for the sequel.

This is the second novel in the Silver Securities Family Saga and does end in a cliffhanger. A great book that will grab your attention right at the beginning and you'll find it hard to put down. Allie and Tristan's story gets more intense when she falls into enemy hands. When Tristan hired Allie to be his pawn he had no idea the impact she'd make on his life. Their chemistry was off the charts and there's no shortage of sexy scenes. Grab this one now as it's a winner. Well written with amazing characters and an entertaining story line. I read an arc and voluntarily chose to review it.

There Are Not Enough Words!
This book was just as amazing as the first book! The characters are fantastic, the storyline amazing and the way it was written, phenomenal! I couldn't put it down and it will be difficult to wait for the next book in the series. By far, one of my favorite authors.

Boy this book definitely has it all.
Suspense drama action twists and turns and romance.
At times I found it an emotional read.
Definitely hold my attention right throughout.
This is the second book in this series and I highly recommend you
read them in order.

This was soo many things! Dark, suspenseful. Sexy and emotional. Twisty and intense characters. And in the end, omg, frustrating! I’m not one for cliff hangers, but there you go. Can’t wait for the next one!

Loved this fast paced story. There's mystery and intrigue as well as a whole lot of chemistry and sizzling action. I can't wait to see what happens next.
