Will there be snowflakes and Christmas cakes on Sunflower Street or will the ghosts of Christmas past come back to haunt them all?
This is the eighth short story set on Sunflower Street and while it can be read as a standalone, it is best enjoyed as part of the series.
Rachel Griffiths is an author, wife, mother, Earl Grey tea drinker, gin enthusiast, dog walker and fan of the afternoon nap. She loves to read, write and spend time with her family.
This book was so well written and great to carry on from the last one and hear more about the characters and full of heartache but warmth and happiness to. Romantic and full of families to well worth reading. Ivy Zach and Tabitha are settling in to living and being together and getting ready for Christmas. The spirit is there and Tabitha can see ivy and Zack getting closer and wants to help them along but when ivy's ex turns up what will happen as he wants to get back together but ivy doesn't who will she choose and can she be happy. Then her mum and dad turn up and they open up about their relationship and drop a bombshell on ivy can she cope with this and will she be close to them or not. Fantastic read.
I'm happy to be done with this series. I liked all the characters and was thankful that the dreadful Roxie was only a blip in this book, I feel like it could've just been combined with the previous book. The Calix portion was resolved quickly. Her relationship with her parents and their attitude towards Ivy was finally explained and they've all seemingly moved on. It was underwhelming overall. I don't think I'll be reading more books by this author, I'm just not a fan of their writing style.
Another great book by the author, this being the eighth in the series. I do enjoy these stories and at a time when things look bleak and dark with the world, it's great to escape into a different world and read a heart warming story. A full 5/5 for me and thoroughly deserved. If you have not read the series please do, great characters and heart warming stories.
I so enjoyed this story it was both happy and heart wrenching for ivy to get the news she got from her parents . Im glad that ivy has let zac into her life on all levels now and aunty Tabatha is so loverly she has been so kind to both zac from when he arrived and then she helped ivy and welcomed her into her home too.
A lovely heartwarming novel to read. I love series books as I get lost in the characters lives, it’s lovely to see how their life story plays out. To see how they overcome any obstacles in their lives is inspirational. Love it.
Sorry to have finished the final book in the Sunflower Street series. Enjoyed every one and getting to know the characters who feel like friends. Thank you so much to Rachel for another fabulous story
Snowflakes and Christmas Cakes on Sunflower Street
I really loved reading this book. It has everything suspense, adventure and love. Surprises along the way and a very happy ending. I loved it included the animal adventures.
This story is enjoyable, full of love. There are two main events, which enhanced the main plot of two young people meeting and fall in love. A pleasant, cosy read.
