Planet Suran is a paradise and offers the best conditions for life. Its diverse inhabitants are intelligent - all of them. According to legend, the builders, higher beings, breathed intelligence into the creation shortly after the world was created. Science sees it biologists have found evidence that all genetic material of suranic life has been artificially altered in the recent past.

Olom doesn't know who is right, traditionalists or moderns, and he doesn't care because he has his own problems. He has been lovingly raised by his three parents, but still he is missing a being just like him. No one else on Suran has only two legs and two arms. No one moves as clumsily. A strange photograph promises Olom help. But to uncover his origins, he must enter places that no Suran before him has ever explored. Are the builders themselves hiding there?

A world enclosed within a sphere near a black hole??????

They receive a signal from another Messenger, though this one is from Olom. They head to the coordinates but find nothing.
Meanwhile we follow the story if Olom, a biped in a triped or tetraped world as he seeks his origins.
After researching the location they realize that a black hole maybe present acting as a gravitational lense as its distorting space time since the signal is slightly red shifted. Consequently if they attempt to investigate, considerable time for an onlooker would have passed compared with their time. They therefore decide to return to the Draght and Marchenko will attempt to make a trip to investigate.
This dual human-Olom perspective provides an interesting contrast as we explore how life proceeds for Adam and Eve and Olom in separate locations.
