Actually not learning Korean to better watch Kpop but because I’m moving to Korea, but I figured this vocabulary would come in handy someday when I inevitably need to break up with someone in Korean, reject someone in a bar, or explain that I only watch dramas that Lee Min-Ho is in. Also I did find the word order breakdowns helpful because the learning curve for word order is STEEP!!!!

This book has been a game changer for me in learning Korean. I've always loved Kpop & Kdrama and have wanted to learn Korean to really understand K-culture, but I've never had the time or effort to study it academically. I tried self-study books but tbh they overwhelmed me a bit.

But this book takes such a unique and fresh approach in the sense where it does not even feel like a study book, it actually feels like im just reading for entertainment! It is filled with so many phrases pulled straight out of lines you would hear in Kpop & Kdramas, and even has phrases I would use in talking in real life. The beauty of it is that you learn intrinsically because of the way sentences are broken down so that not only do you see the words that make up a phrase, but you can refer to what each part of the sentence means. No grammar learning required yet I learned so much on how Korean works.

What a cute book! I'm one of those that started learning Korean because of KPOP, I've learned Hangul (so I can read) but I still can't really say anything. Sometimes I just want to caption something or send a note to my favorite KPop celeb. This book has an amazing selection of phrases, like I was surprised at the ones in here I haven't seen anywhere else. Like in the 'talking to celebrities' section there are sweet ones you can use like 'it's okay if you make a mistake' and 'please be happy' which is so sweet - we should be sending our biases more things like this. Idk why fan calls area always just simping when we could be supporting them with phrases like this. There are also Kdrama phrases like 'you wanna die?!' haha. I think it's a fun book to have. I think you'll like it most if you are in the same spot as me, already learned the heavy stuff - reading/writing, some grammar/sentence structure, and just want a 'shortcut' to being able to say something.

I've been learning Korean for a little less than a year now and I'm really happy I found skip the subtitles and this book. All the topics are really interesting and the way everything is explained (very detailed) is just amazing and super easy to follow. As a self-taught student, I'm always looking for new and different ways to keep learning and this book is everything I needed right now and I'm sure it can be very useful for beginners but also intermediate or even advanced learners as an aide memoir. I also want to mention how kind Tiffany is, a big thank you to her for creating this very helpful and fun book where you can learn a lot! very recommended♡

I’ve been attempting to learn Korean for a while, and this book is the best aid. All the explanations are clear, well- detailed and easy to follow. It is very easy to navigate through the different topics, due to the well-thought out structure of the chapters. I also love how it contains many phrases and words, specifically from K- dramas to make your Korean learning even more authentic. I would 100% recommend to anyone wanting to start learning Korean, in a more fun and engaging way.

Also, I would like to say a huge shoutout to Tiffany, she has been nothing but helpful and kind whenever I have contacted her! :)

Loved the book! It has the main and important topics about Korean. I recommend it 100%, it is amazing how well written and structured, as well as explains the topics very well. It has many examples and sentences very easy to understand andd it has a lot of vocabulary to review. It is very useful for me because it is like a mini dictionary that makes me feel very safe knowing each word, since the structure of Korean is different.
Overall I am very happy with this book which has motivated me to study Korean. Thanks a lot!

The premise of this book is to be able to shortcut your Korean by providing common phrases that can be used in daily conversation. I believe that there is a variety of vocabulary within this book for someone who is up to an upper beginner to enjoy. However, the layout of the book as a cheatsheet made it quite repetitive and I wished there were either pictures or drawings to break it up. It does its job as a list of helpful words and phrases and if you are a big fan of kdrama or kpop there are lot of phrases that would be useful.

This book really helped me to learn everyday vocabulary and expression that education books don't really teach us. I've started to learn korean 3 years ago and i only made a lot of improvements with this book. For me the only one default is that every word are also write in romanisation and it's not the best method to learn korean. It's better to just write the word in hangul because the way you pronounce the word with the hangul and the romanisation is different.

This is an incredible book! It offers vocaublary and phrases that are incredibly helpful. I've been trying to learn Korean for a very long time, and so far I've mastered only basic vocab without really learning how to speak. This book is very helpful and allows me speak and practice right away! I definitely recommend to new time Korean learners looking to start speaking Korean quickly.

I am really grateful to the author. This book has many useful phrases for everyday life and many phrases that you can recognize while watching Korean dramas. In addition, it is very helpful to see how each of the sentences is broke down, since that helps to better understand the entire sentence. I definitely recommend it ❤️

Hard to Read Tiny Print

At least in the Kindle version, the print is so small that I needed a magnifying glass to be able to read it. It may be good book, but it wasn't worth the eyestrain and aggravation to find out.

I wish it has more commentary or background on each section/topic. This book is literally just pages and pages of phrases with their translations. I liked that some of the translations had a break down of each word and what they mean.
