I'm forty years old and the people in my stories get more action than I do. I'm happiest writing fanfiction and coupling my favorite characters: Dean and Cass. Crowley and Aziraphale. Spock and Kirk...
But when I see the sparks that fly between my roommate Quentin and my co-worker Jeremy, I have new favorite ship.
Hooking them up makes me realize how much I care for them, but when they discover I've been manipulating the situation, I may lose them both.
Thanks for stopping by! I am not currently accepting any friend requests.
Allyson Lindt has been telling stories since before she could put the words on paper. She was lucky enough to marry her muse and soul mate. Their cats are their children, and when they’re not spending way too much time gaming, they’re building new worlds together. She loves a sexy happily-ever-after and helping deserving couples find their futures together.
I got lost in the lingo once or twice but this book was totally worth it. Incredibly sensual and crazy hot! Jeremy, Sonya, and Quentin have wormed their way into my heart. ❤ I want to pull them from the pages and make them my friends.
I also wouldn't mind front row seats to their other friendly activities. There are plenty of steamy encounters throughout the story but I think that first one may be my favorite. Of course, Sonya may have other ideas. 😘
'It was like one of my books, but so much better because I was in the middle of it.' -- Sonya Russel 🔥🔥🔥
Spending time getting to know these three was a pleasure. I also liked seeing past and future characters from the series. There was some angst and general drama that did cause problems, though.
It saddened me to see Sonya frequently refer to herself as "frumpy" or other put downs and not see what those who truly cared about her saw, which seemed to excluded her mother and several exes. Her view of the developing relationship with Quentin and Jeremy is a perfect example of the damage her mother had done to her self-esteem.
Both men come with their own baggage. I enjoyed seeing them work past it to find what they truly needed and wanted, settling for nothing less.
When it comes to the ending, I absolutely love when the epilogue travels to multiple points forward for the couple / trouple / unit and this has that! Perfection!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Matchmaking in Progress By Allyson Lindt Main Characters: Sonya, Quentin, and Jeremy I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author. 4 out of 5 stars I love this author's books but I was a little more lost about the gaming stuff than in her other books, Hence the reason for 4 stars. I think the characters were fully developed and the story was well written but I am older and never into any type of gaming so that is just a personal issue. I do recommend this author's books
Sonya, Quentin, and Jeremy were great together. Each with their insecurities that told them they would never make it together. Each with their strengths that made them perfect for each other. All they have to do is listen to their hearts and they will know what to do. But will they?
I was given an advanced copy of this book by the author. My review is voluntary.
I really liked the dynamic between the characters. All had baggage from the past, but they they were willing to work past it (rather than dwell on it and get overly angsty and whiny). They worked well together, making it a fun read. I voluntarily reviewed this book after receiving an advanced copy.
I enjoyed Sonya’s close connection and fun-filled relationship with her co-worker Jeremy and her roommate Quentin. When she turned her creative mind to a scheme to bring the men together, I loved how they responded with a twist of their own that found her tangled in the sheets between them! Now they only had to convince this short-sighted, doubting woman that despite their respective baggage, this could be their reality – their forever after, and not just a chapter in their lives.
This is a well written story with complex and well-defined characters. There’s plenty of drama, angst, super-hot chemistry, and humour along with some dirty talk and several seriously steamy explicit, MMF and MM encounters.
I received an Advance Reader Copy from the author, and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Part of a branched off series that I’m addicted too, not the gaming per say but the romance and love it inspires. I love seeing happy endings. And Allyson doesn’t fail to provide. Part of the writer division of AcesPlayed senior writer Sonya Russel works with veteran game writer Jeremy Hammond and their friendship and chemistry is off the charts. I love how realistic these characters seem in real life. Yes at times I can relate to feeling grumpy and unloved as our Sonya but seeing the metamorphosis of these characters and Sonya’s renter Quentin is magical. Best line, ‘…our lives were so perfectly intertwined and I didn’t have to question if it was love or just friendship, because it was both.’ Beautiful.
Sonya’s day job is writing erotic scenes for the online AcesPlayed game experience with her coworker and friend, Jeremy. Outside of work she writes romance novels with similar themes and just found herself on the bestseller list. Her roommate, Quentin, wants to help celebrate her success and he would make such a great couple with Jeremy if they both could move beyond their traumatic pasts. When Hollywood comes knocking on her door, will she have to change her stories and sign away control? How will she convince her guys that they’re better off together without her in the middle because her insecurities keep holding her back? Each character has to deal with their own demons and overcome doubt to find a path forward. Excellent.
I like that Sonya, Quentin, and Jeremy are adults. Being forty they have loved and lost, crashed relationships, and just given up. When the three take a road trip and have a little sexy play time a taste is not enough. But doubts and insecurities plague them. Along with their tumultuous personal lives their professional careers are in flux. In this “world” trios are accepted and it just works, and a quote in this book really makes me smile it goes “I think though, that if love is possible—if it’s a real thing—then being able to love more than one person is possible, too.” I loved this heartfelt tale with all of the feels.
Three Heads Are Better Than One - Whew! Firstly whats not to love, two hot as hell men, a brutal badass female lead and sizzling intimate moments that will have you needing a cold shower when you finish reading it. My heart kept thundering in my chest and has finally settled down after beating out of sync, as I turned the pages. Each of the characters brought something different to the storyline to make it exciting and binge-worthy. If you are looking for a book with enough spice and intrigue to make it worth your reading experience, then I would definitely recommend this book.
I received an advanced copy of this book and I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Matchmaking in Progress features Sonya, Quentin, and Jeremy. I truly liked that they are all mature people in their 40s who've seen a lot and done a lot in their lives, but are still looking for that special relationship. I have to admit, there was a bit too much gaming terminology for my taste and too much emphasis maybe on past orgies rather than on their budding relationship but it's an entertaining book and great for taking your mind off the world's problems! I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily and honestly reviewed it.
I love Allyson Lindts stories and I’ve been waiting for the 3rd book in the Three Players Tag Team books. Sonya, Jeremy and Quentin’s story is so lovely! The three of them have such a great friendship but also great chemistry! It was wonderful watching them come to realize their feelings for each other as a group and take the risks as all 3 of them were protecting their hearts.
Although this is the 3rd book, it can definitely be read as a stand-alone with a few threads to earlier and future stories. Can’t wait for the next one!!
Oh boy, I loved everything about this story. The conversations that go off on wild tangents, the interconnected-ness of the characters in this world, the realistically challenges faced by the main characters, all of it adds up to one great story. I particularly liked the banter between Jeremy and Sonya - those two could talk about the most random and out-there topic and make it wildly entertaining. A terrifically fun, slightly geeky read by Allyson Lindt.
I really enjoyed Quentin Jeremy and Sonya's book. They were all perfect for each other in many ways and I'm glad they got over their personal hangups and opened their eyes! There wasn't a lot of tech stuff that went way over my head as Ms Lindt will sometimes do to me!! My only real complaint is that I felt like there were a few unresolved plot points that were on the minor end. Can't wait for Megan!!
Sonya is forty (awesome). She’s a geek and a gamer, frumpy and fantasizes about Quentin and Jeremy. Forced proximity? Check. Sonya sandwiched between Quentin and Jeremy? Heck yes. She even writes fan fiction. Let the steamy games begin. Steamy times, work, living situations, insecurities make it all so complicated. Recommend.
Wow! This book was an absolute scorcher! I loved every word. Sonya, Jeremy & Quentin were totally made for each other. This book was everything that I imagined it to be. The first sentence of the book had me hooked. Let me just say that it had everything you love in this type of romance. It definitely was a panty melter of a book. I enjoyed it thoroughly. Happy reading everyone
A love story of 3 hearts. This is a great story of friendship and love. The love between them is built up slowly and is believable. Now while it takes these love cynics some time to recognize their emotions, they don't hesitate to explore the sexual chemistry!! This story is hot, funny, and full of emotions.
This intriguing story had me glued to the pages. Jeremy, Sonya and Quentin all had difficult past but are drawn to each other. When Sonya sees the attraction between Jeremy and Quentin, she becomes matchmaker, but it leads to so much more. Will this trio land a happily ever after given their past? I am volunteering to leave a review for an ARC of this book.
Ever think your friends would be good together and try to set them up... but like they insist you be involved... and now you're all falling for each other but no one wants to admit it? Understandable bc they've both been hurt before. Oh and you write romance/fanfic and these two are hotter than the stuff you write? No? Just Sonya. Oh, well read her book to find out what happens.
Matchmaking in Progress I enjoyed the characters and storylines. Real life situations each character overcoming and struggles. I enjoyed them overcoming their challenges. *I was given a copy and am voluntarily giving my honest review.
Sonya is trying to set up her roommate Quinton with her work friend Jeremy. They both want her and the 3 of them her freaky one night. She is a quiet woman and doesn't believe they want her. There's some frustration on their ends but they get their hea
I loved this story about Sonya, Quentin and Jeremy, all in their 40's and cynical about relationships to the point of having given up. Throughout the book all three main characters show tremendous personal growth, especially Quentin. His backstory is crazy and really underscores his reluctance to trust. But the relationship between the three is sensual with amazing chemistry and heart and ultimately none of the three can resist. Cue the HEA. I definitely recommend this book.
I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review, but I also preordered this book.
