Edit - got to read this. Had to throw it out when her husband drug raped her to help her recover from the trauma of losing her virginity to being drugged and raped. Wtf April. What woman thinks the second time someone has sex to be raped again cancels the first rape because he loves her but forces her to have sex. Ffs. Do better. This twisted stuff is why men think stalking a woman means love.

I really wanted to read this. But Joyreads charges $7.99 for about 300 coins. The book has 1900 chapters at 20-30 coins a chapter. So that’s about $1,800 to read a book unless you are prepared to read 1-3 chapters day with free coins. Yeah. This is never ever ever going to happen. These coin read apps are a rip off

**DO NOT START THIS BOOK **There are 3379 chapters to this book. I’m so disappointed and wish I had never started it, let alone spent real money on it. To buy the book would take over 36955 coins. When 7000 coins are 140.00 cad that makes this book more than 1038 dollars!!! What a joke. And such a scam.

I’m up to chapter 70 and the story is ok so far, this poor woman seems to keep being abused by all of the men in her life. Even the “good guys”. Some chapters are confusing as the author mixes up the two male leads names frequently even on the same page lol.

Once I’m done the chapters I unfortunately already purchased I won’t be going back to it. No digital book is worth over 1000.00. Especially one that has editing errors.

The story initially really gripped me, so i was eager to continue. Then i realized that there were over 3k chapters and reading through purchased coins would cost several hundred dollars. I wouldnt even spend that to read an entire published book series! If the story were well written, it might be worthwhile, however there are countless inconsistencies within the storyline and tons of errors. Even at chapter 200 or so, i have come across several points where huge details are seemingly loomed over further into the story (ie there is a devastating fire, but then they just magically continue living in the home mere days later with no mention of repairs or moving.)
Being as far in as i am now, the story is beginning to get tedious and bland as there is a lot of conflict but very little happy encounters. It seems very sloppy and unplanned and i am extremely surprised that an adult wrote this. I am going to continue through til i have used up my current coins and then i am done wasting time on this story. Knowing so much has happened already, i can honestly not imagine continuing for another 3000 chapters.

Started off as a delightful cheesy romance, with protagonists.
The writing, the approach to the story devolved after a about 120 chapters, and became intensely soap operaesque, repetitive and borderline pathetic with massuve loopholes.

How does one character keep getting injured and landing kn hospital?.keep getting date raped? Keep bleeding?

It was sensible in the beginning but onwards it became a big "excuse me what?? What the hell?"

Now, 422 chapters down, it isnt even a speed read, just pure circles with a new element for the lead pair to get entangled with. I know where this is headed and i think speed read to get to the 1000th chapter where one story ends may be an effort.

I started rereading the earlier chapters: what changed after chapter 120 i cannot tell.
as i make my way to the 900th chapter there is such a sudden disconnect and switch in the story flow and the writing style multiple time between chapter 120, chapter 450, chapter 867 that one wonders if the author is the same.
it picks up momentum after a plot twist, mid-climax and then suddenly after the build into the second part the characters disappear or reappear not from where they left off.

But i am sure of this: it could have ended beautifully, romantically before its 5th repeat of damsel in distress.
it has so much potential if well edited and sold as a manuscript but will require a thorough rewrite.

I do applaud April’s writing style, it did suck me in and had me rationalizing spending $5 every couple chapters. If I could buy this book for a flat fee rather than $500+ in coins I absolutely would.

That being said, if you have sexual assault triggers this book is not for you. If you don’t enjoy virginity=purity trope then this book is not for you. As other reviews have stated it is a very toxic view of sex and overall full of plot holes and genuinely does not need to be as long as it is. If I got paid $5 for every three chapters I would also write a 3000 chapter book.

This book came up on my Facebook feed, through an app called Joyread. You can read up to chapter 15 for free, then each subsequent chapter is a minimum spend of 18 coins. With the total number of chapters being well over 3000 (absolutely ridiculous), you can assume a ton of money needs to be spent. Another app which might as well not exist. So for me this is a DNF.
What I did manage to read was interesting. The opening chapters suck you in and give a general backstory to some of the main characters. Vivian’s sister Ashley seems to be cold, spiteful, and just downright evil. Didn’t like her at all. Fabian, who Vivian was in a relationship with previously, also comes across this way, only I think he is even more conniving. The only decent character is Finnick, who Vivian marries on a whim. He seems decent, but only reading 15 chapters means I miss out on any more developments.

I want to say that I found this book for free on NovelToon so the same ratings about cost don't apply.

I am giving this such a low rating because it is very poorly written. It was obviously written in a different language and translated to English, so it is very hard to understand sometimes.

I stopped reading it because it was getting worse as I went. The sexism is terrible. The story line fell apart. Finally, the "punishment" was just abuse.

I gave it 2 stars because I was drawn in initially. This could be a good story if trimmed down and edited. At this point, you can tell it's a "pay-per-chapter" story.

The first few chapters were great, sucked you in and had you not wanting it to put down. I don't know what happened, but i'm now on chapter 1050 and the book and some of the situations could not be any more pathetic. Some of the things the author says has my jaw dropping open, the complete unawareness on what is socially acceptable to say, it's left me baffled!! The plot just WON'T END. It was ok at first, but now it's become so beyond pathetic. There's so many mistakes, some of the things don't even make sense. I cannot imagine how many more hospital visits the remaining chapters will have, currently reading about yet another hospital visit for a character's hair being hurt. On top of that, the amount of times it's soup for a meal, every dinner, it's soup! Every protagonist has an antagonist and when that one is finally out of the picture, another antagonist is introduced. And why did the story of Vivian and Finnick just suddenly jump to one of 2 different characters?! Save yourself your time and money and don't bother reading this, it's full of misogamy, backwards thoughts, rape, violence, sexism and stuff that just does not make sense. How anyone can fathom and create some of these thoughts....I don't understand!

BIGGEST DNF OF THE HISTORY OF DNFs

Between the inconsistencies and awful writing, the characters’ shallow personalities and bad choices and monologue-ing like children, the justifications of r*pe, drugging others, ableism, and other issues, IT IS JUST BAD!

I genuinely like to think I’m easily pleased and don’t critique harshly, but this is in no way shape or form a good or decent book.
It is disgusting and disturbing on so many levels. And it’s making me question the author’s morals and common sense.
Also the way discussions of SA is handled is way too ignorant and just straight up wrong.

I can go into a full rant of so many wrong things in this single piece of “literature” but at this point I’d rather conserve whatever brain cells I have left.

Don't waste your money. This costs way too much to read. I am all for supporting authors but paying huge amounts to have this advertised all over social media and making people pay $5 per chapter is ridiculous. One chapter only takes a couple of minutes to read. I would gladly buy this as a physical or digital copy for $20 but I'm not going to be sucked into paying $5 per 10 minutes of reading. If you look at the book length, you will be paying over $1000 to finish it. Is ordinary romance book worth $1000? I could have a whole bookcase full at that price.

Stopped at chapter 1006. An engaging and interesting read to this point. Full of trauma, triggering content, jealousy and revenge, love and perseverance conquers throughout. As the story took a jump back to a character that left “years ago” and has not been mentioned since, I gave up on this novel. Disappointed that this is as not well edited, and there were some flaws in the story line.
