Ghazghkull by Nate Crowley was the highlight of BL’s 2021 output for me so I had very high hopes for the same author’s side tape from the same story, Mad Dok, and thankfully it absolutely lived up to expectations.

It focuses on the titular Grotsnik’s attempts to revive Ghazghkull after his encounter with Ragnar Blackmane and is a glorious look at another horrific but charismatic ork. Undercut with humour and studded with deep cuts of lore this is another essential piece of fiction.

Grotsnik the Mad Dok, creator of prophets (acording to him), hater of Grots and the best surgeon/splicer around (probably according to him too).

It's a fun shorts story that shows into the mind of Grosnik while he is trying to bring back a prophet of Waaagh, summed into 16 pages.

I'm looking forward to future novels about da Mad Dok (one should be arriving this year)
