About the author

Hiro Mashima (Jap: 真島ヒロ) is a Japanese manga artist.

He gained success with his first serial Rave, published in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine from 1999 to 2005. His best-selling work, Fairy Tail, published in the same magazine from 2006 to 2017, became one of the best-selling manga series with over 72 million copies in print. Mashima began the currently ongoing Edens Zero in 2018.

Fairy Tail won the Kodansha Manga Award for shōnen manga in 2009, and Mashima was given the Harvey Awards International Spotlight award in 2017 and the Fauve Special Award at the 2018 Angoulême International Comics Festival.

Shiki und seine Freunde reisen auf den Planeten Red Cave. Dort entdecken sie eine fantastische Unterwasserwelt, sowie einen Wegweiser zu Mother. Auf dem Planeten lernen sie Nadia kennen, die ihnen offenbart, dass der Planet nur unter Wasser ist, weil Räuber eine Reliquie gestohlen haben. Shiki und seine Freunde können Nadia natürlich wie immer helfen. Nachdem sie den Wegweiser zu Mother haben, begeben sie sich auf die Reise nach Foresta. Dort angekommen müssen sie feststellen, dass hier Menschen und Maschinen nicht im Einklang leben. Die Maschinen halten die Menschen wie Hunde. Shiki kann seinen Augen nicht trauen, sodass er beschließt, den Missstand zu beheben.

Das Cover ist einfach nur der Hammer. Es erinnert an ein Gruppenfoto von einer Klassenfahrt. Der Zeichenstil ist großartig. Ich kann es nur immer wieder betonen. Ich liebe es wie Hiro Mashima den Figuren Leben einhaucht. Jeder Charakter ist einzigartig und hat seine eigene Geschichte. Vor allem mag ich es wie Menschen und Maschinen in Harmonie zusammenleben. Ich möchte an der Stelle den Ideenreichtum positiv hervorheben. Hiro erschafft so unfassbar tolle und spannende Planeten, die ebenfalls alle ihre eigenen Geheimnisse und Gegebenheiten haben. Besonders die Unterwasserwelt finde ich super originell.

Von dieser Reihe kann ich einfach nicht genug bekommen. Ich kann euch sowohl den Manga als auch den Anime wärmstens empfehlen.

🌊 Edens Zero kini melintasi perbatasan angkasa menuju Aoi Cosmos, alam semesta yang dipenuhi oleh air. Mereka mencari keberadaan mother di planet Red Cave sembari mengungkapkan kebenaran akan cinta.

🪐 Pembukaan saga baru ini bagus, petualangan Shiki dkk masih saja seru. Terlebih kita dihadirkan dengan tujuan serta misteri yang baru, bahkan kita memiliki antagonis utama baru.

🐠 Edens Zero ini lebih mirip ke One Piece ya, jika One Piece berlayar ke banyak pulau maka Edes Zero meneroka ke banyak planet. Hiro Mashima menciptakan berbagai planet yang fantastis dengan penggambaran kian memukau.

🏖️ Dari cover jelas kalau jilid ini akan banyak menyediakan fanservice, ya sebenernya di tiap vokume Edens Zero selalu tersedia fanservice, dan emang Hiro Mashima sensei amat unggul di bidang tersebut.

💫 Masih asik untuk diikuti! Plotnya terus berkembang dan banyak tokoh yang mulai menunjukkan eksistensinya secara intens. Ke planet mana lagi kita akan dibawa oleh Mashima?

4/5 Our crew has now entered the Aoi Cosmos and their first stop is at Planet Red Cave to find clues to the location of mother. Apparently following in the footsteps of the Edens Zero 15 years prior. We get a couple of fun beach chapters and then the crew has to tackle a challenge to gain a beacon to help find mother. One of many apparently that will be needed.

The Aoi cosmos saga has a fantastic start to it as we get a good mystery, a new goal and a hint at the next main villain of the series with the next member of the Oracian Seis Galactical along with a reveal that their is another Orcaian Seis group that is trying to oppose the other. The first arc well done bringing other former enemies as allies and even having a very sad but heartwarming story.

I decided I'm dropping Eden's zero bc none of the books are that interesting and I was just forcing myself to read it. Same tropes, boring characters, the only traits they gave the girl characters are strong, and boobs. Poorly written girl characters its actually painful to read because of that. If you're going to write a book where majority of the main cast is women actually make the women have a real personality. Mediocre series, mid, L, basic, boring. I should've expected that from the author of fairy tail though.

Hiro Mashima es de mis mangakas favoritos, considerando que leo simultáneamente 3 de sus trabajos y EDENS vendría a hacer el más debil de los 3, principalmente cuando lo tomamos en comparación a Fairy Tail. Aún así EDENS es el manga de que más tomos he leído y es que siempre vuelvo a él cuando quiero una historia ligera con la que divertirme, porque sé que Mashima tiene ese efecto en mí.
La historia continúa donde nos dejó el tomo 12, con una importante revelación y con los personajes al fin saliendo de su natal Cosmos Sakura para llegar a un nuevo universo, la historia empieza a sentir un avance, aunque sea de locación. Más secretos sobre madre nos son revelados, también sobre como funciona el universo donde los personajes están envueltos.
La historia consigue mantenerse interesante, avanzando hasta un nuevo planeta, con un misterio por revelar y una historia trágica de por medio. La introducción de un nuevo personaje para la tripulación del Edens no me cierra del todo (aún sigo considerando que son demasiados personajes en el grupo) y de una nueva dinámica con respecto a Madre cambian un poco la historia. Sigo considerando que este es el manga de Mashima en que más se abusa del fan service y las situaciones subidas de tono, también sigue sin gustarme demasiado Rebecca o Shiki, considerando que hay personajes mucho más interesantes como Weisz, Homura o Elsie. Las peleas en este manga se sienten bien (aunque este capítulo tuvo poco de ello), los poderes del Ether aún no me hacen demasiado sentido pero al menos se ven bien al momento de usarlos.
Este tomo se siente más como trasnciscional, cosa que se entiende considerando que el anterior tuvo (o al menos la mitad tuvo) el desenlace de una de las tramas más importantes del manga. Espero que el siguiente tomo sea más cargado de acción (eso promete al menos) y que puda disfrutar más de las ideas creadas por Mashima.
